The Dragon Vein of Mount Fu was enlightened by Xu Lai.
The Dragon Vein had a spirit, and it was exceedingly reverent toward Xu Lai. It flew to the skies above Dongli University, yet it dared not co any closer, instead circling within the clouds.
Its anxious movents seed to be an attempt to convey sothing.

The sound of cara flashes filled the air.
This slightly displeased the Dragon Spirit, which let out a roar. The students on the old playground, instead of being scared, beca even more excited.
Zhou Feng, on the other hand, cautiously retreated dozens of ters. The mont he saw Xu Lai, he ran over, looking both relieved and overjoyed.
"Director Xu, you’re here to see the dragon too!"
Without waiting for a reply, Zhou Feng said with fascination in his eyes and a powerful curiosity, "Who would have thought that dragons really exist? Director Xu, how does it fly? It completely defies science."
"You could ask it yourself," Xu Lai said with a smile.
"Director Xu, you must be joking, haha. How could it talk? Besides... even if I asked, it wouldn’t answer ."
Zhou Feng said excitedly, "But this is a dragon, and we are all descendants of the dragon!"
"You should have the students disperse," Xu Lai sighed. "It has sothing to tell ."
Zhou Feng was stunned for a mont but didn’t overthink it. Cupping his hands around his mouth like a gaphone, he shouted, "Everyone, disperse, disperse!"
After he had been shouting for a long ti, the students reluctantly began to scatter, but they were unwilling to go far and continued to watch from a distance.
ROAR.
The Black Dragon’s cry echoed.
Is it just my imagination, or is that dragon’s cry strange? It doesn’t sound like a legendary Divine Dragon... more like a clingy housecat... Zhou Feng wondered.
"You’re saying that the creature beneath the Dragon Vein of Mount Fu is looking for ?" Xu Lai tilted his head.
The Black Dragon whined softly, nodding its head in a very human-like manner.
Xu Lai fell into contemplation.
Beneath the Dragon Vein lay a Soul Candle, suppressing a Golden Core Realm Faceless Spider that claid to be a pawn of Jing Ke.
The affairs related to Jing Ke were nurous, and they included Emperor Wanyun.
The Yun Clan of the seventy-seventh epoch, to which Emperor Wanyun belonged, was a race cursed by the Heavenly Dao.
Even at the Nine Heavens of the Quasi-Emperor level, one could not escape the death tribulation of a one-hundred-thousand-year lifespan.
This incredibly talented woman had blazed her own trail. She condensed the fortunes of thousands of clans to transcend her personal tribulation, an undertaking unparalleled in all of history.
She proclaid herself Emperor Wanyun!
A few months ago, Emperor Wanyun had battled Xu Lai over the Faceless Demon inside the Soul Candle.
Xu Lai had severed one of Emperor Wanyun’s arms. But the Bronze Coffin she resided in was extrely mysterious. It was suspected to be a gift from Jing Ke, originating from The Other Shore. Despite using his full strength, Xu Lai was unable to break it, so he simply let her leave.
"I will prepare a generous gift in exchange for this person." Emperor Wanyun’s words still echoed in his ears.
Xu Lai hadn’t expected the Faceless Demon to take the initiative to seek an audience.
On the other hand, Zhou Feng saw that Director Xu seed to be genuinely communicating with the Black Dragon. He swallowed hard. I knew Director Xu was no ordinary person, but I never expected him to actually understand the language of dragons.
"You can too." Xu Lai beckoned with his hand. The Black Dragon hovered over Zhou Feng’s head, and a strand of Divine Sense reached out. "Greetings, Senior."
"Are you talking to ?" Zhou Feng was dumbfounded and tapped his head vigorously. Am I having auditory hallucinations? How could a voice be speaking inside my head?
"Yes, Senior."
"How do you fly?" Zhou Feng asked, stunned.
The Black Dragon was taken aback. After a long pause, it finally said, "I was probably born with it?"
"..."
Then, the man and the dragon fell silent.
Xu Lai couldn’t help but laugh out loud. It turned out that not only was Zhou Feng unflinchingly literal, but so was this dragon.
"Want to ride it?" Xu Lai asked with a nod.
Zhou Feng seed tempted but then shook his head repeatedly. "No, better not."
Xu Lai didn’t press him. "Dr. Zhou, you should go back and calm the students down."
"They’ve seen it with their own eyes and have photos and videos. We can’t suppress the news, and there’s no calming them down," Zhou Feng said, his head aching.
"There’s no need to suppress the news." Xu Lai laughed lightly. "In the future, even more surprising things will happen. You’ll all get used to it eventually."
Humans, monsters, devils, ghosts, freaks, sprites, spirits, and the undead.
With the revival of Earth’s Spiritual Energy, they would all eventually appear in the public eye. It was completely impossible to keep the ordinary people of this planet in the dark.
Zhou Feng was completely confused.
It was only on a certain day, many years and months later, when Principal Zhou, now a father of two, recalled this day that he finally understood what Director Xu had ant back then.
The era had changed.
The world had changed.
Everything had changed.
By the ti Xu Lai arrived at the Dragon Vein of Mount Fu, half an hour had passed.
At that point, videos of the ’Black Dragon’ had completely dominated dostic and international networks. The state authorities neither blocked the videos nor had so-called experts co out to analyze them. It was as if they were deliberately allowing the news to spread.
Of course, these were all minor matters and had nothing to do with Xu Lai. Standing on the summit of Mount Fu, he stomped his foot, and the Soul Candle appeared.
Within the Soul Candle was the Faceless Demon. She now had the face of a woman and had been tornted to the point of ntal collapse and despair.
Seeing Xu Lai, she burst into tears. "Senior, please, just kill ."
"Is that all?" Xu Lai raised an eyebrow.
The Faceless Demon’s eyes brimd with tears. Her voice was shrill and anxious. "I’m willing to trade an item for it. I beg you, Senior, grant death!"
Xu Lai said nothing, his hands clasped behind his back, his expression indifferent.
"Jing Ke once embedded sothing within my divine soul. I don’t know what it is, but he said he would definitely return to retrieve it."
The Faceless Demon grew agitated. She moved closer to the edge of the Soul Candle, and the terrifying flas clung to her divine soul.
The next second, she began to scream hysterically as her soul crumbled under the flas. Yet, at the very mont of her demise, a massive amount of life-giving Spiritual Energy would restore her wounds.
This process repeated countless tis. She could neither live nor die. If not for this, the Faceless Demon would never have chosen to betray Jing Ke, the only one who might have co to save her.
As if to hasten her release, the Faceless Demon’s freshly restored divine soul abruptly slamd against the Soul Candle. This ti, however, her soul did not crumble. Xu Lai’s hand had reached in. From deep within the Faceless Demon’s divine soul, he pulled out an indigo orb.
"That’s it... Ah!" the Faceless Demon cried out as her body once again began to cycle between disintegration and restoration.
This orb... Xu Lai stared at the indigo orb in his palm, his eyes narrowing.
He also had an orb like this one, but his was blood-red and had co from Great Emperor Yin Yang, Shang Chou. It was one of the nine keys to the Nine Kings’ Palace.
One of the reasons Jing Ke had made so many arrangents on Earth was to find these keys.
Jing Ke wanted to enter the Nine Kings’ Palace to resurrect Wan Yun from the Bronze Coffin and set her on the path to immortality.
But the key had been inside the Faceless Demon’s divine soul all along? Xu Lai hadn’t noticed it before. It seed Jing Ke had used so special thod to conceal the orb.
"Kill ... I’m begging you, kill ..." the Faceless Demon cried in despair.
Xu Lai turned and vanished without lingering. The flas within the Soul Candle instantly extinguished, no longer tornting her.
