Sea of the Moon Forbidden Territory.

Ji Jiuyou squinted, his thoughts drifting.

He had mistakenly entered the Sea of the Moon as a youth. At the ti, he wasn’t even the Crown Prince of the Moon Clan yet, and he could never have imagined that the forbidden territory was another world entirely. It wasn’t as dangerous as his father, the King, and his mother had claid. On the contrary, it was brimming with Spiritual Energy, like the realm of an Immortal.

Then, Ji Jiuyou t a woman in a long green dress.

The woman was beautiful with a fine figure. With a smile, she told him that every creature who entered was dood to die. At that mont, Ji Jiuyou was only 0.01 seconds from death.

But for so reason, the woman in the green dress spared him.

Later, to compete with his siblings for the title of Crown Prince, Ji Jiuyou steeled himself and entered the Sea of the Moon to cultivate, secretly harvesting and consuming Spirit Plants. He even happened to stumble upon several Jade Slips that recorded various Divine Skills, Cultivation Techniques, and the Nine Infants Manuscript! Seeing Ji Jiuyou co and go as if the Sea of the Moon were his own private garden, the woman in the green dress rely curled her lip, not seeming to care.

Many had mistakenly entered the forbidden territory of the Sea of the Moon—mbers of the Moon Clan, the Human Race, and even Cultivators from the stars. As the woman in the green dress had said, they all died miserably. So were dismbered, so were forced to eat the flesh of their companions, so starved to death, and others were trapped in a small corner to die alone.

Ji Jiuyou grew accustod to it.

His Boundary began to skyrocket, earning his father’s appreciation and securing his position as the Crown Prince of the Moon Clan.

Just as Ji Jiuyou was about to enter the Sea of the Moon to cultivate once again, he t his cultivation partner, Bai Fu, just outside. At first glance, the Crown Prince, who had never been intimate with a woman, was stunned. He felt an inexplicable urge to possess her entirely. He thought it, and he did it.

One night, Ji Jiuyou held Bai Fu’s smooth body close and told her he wanted to beco the Moon King soon, to realize his ambitions and lead the Ji Family back to the Nine Kings’ Palace.

The very next day, the King of the Moon Clan, who was in the pri of his life, died suddenly. Ji Jiuyou inexplicably beca the new king.

Later still, the naless woman in the green dress from the Sea of the Moon refined a woman from Earth nad Gong Qiu, turning her into a Demonic Beast to guard the entrance to the forbidden territory. In her own words, she was "waiting for a fated person."

Eventually, this fated person arrived. His na was Li Qingzhou.

He personally killed the junior sister he had searched so desperately for, as well as the Golden Core Elders from the Three Sects and Nine Pavilions who followed him. And all of this was at Lin Xuzhi’s request.

"Aren’t you practicing the Nine Infants Manuscript? If you go to the Yunxiao Sect, you can nurture a clone." That was the second thing the woman in the green dress had ever said to him.

Ji Jiuyou rembered it clearly.

But he also clearly saw that his partner, Bai Fu, possessed a Jade Pendant identical to the one worn by the woman in the green dress. So he suspected Bai Fu had co from the Sea of the Moon.

He also vaguely understood why he hadn’t died upon entering the forbidden territory. He realized that the reason he could even "use" it for cultivation—be it stealing Spirit Plants to eat or happening upon the Nine Infants Manuscript—was all related to Bai Fu!

What are your intentions for getting close to ?

Ji Jiuyou gazed in the direction his wife and daughter had gone, a rare trace of confusion on his face.

But the confusion quickly vanished. He had no ti to dwell on such things now. Instead, he was thinking about revenge.

「Mid-June」

Sumr had arrived quietly. People had already started wearing their sumr clothes. The new sumr collection from Ruan Tang’s company, Above the White Clouds, had launched early and was selling out. According to estimates, this year’s net profit could exceed ten figures.

Ruan Tang was ecstatic. So much so that while passing Dongli University for a eting on a hot afternoon, she made a special trip to find Xu Lai and share the good news. This wasn’t her first visit to Dongli or the campus dical office, but Ruan Tang’s appearance still made Liu Nanwei and Zhou Feng jump to their feet.

"Mrs. Xu, you’re here."

"Mrs. Xu, please, have a seat."

"What’s up?"

Xu Lai was studying the Cloud Water Rust and, feeling dizzy with a throbbing headache, didn’t get up.

"How many tis do I have to tell you?" Ruan Tang walked over to him and gently massaged his temples. "Nothing is more important than your health. You have to be careful."

Xu Lai didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. This is the Cloud Water Rust! Even Great Emperors of past eras believed it contained an Immortal Scripture. If they had obtained the thirty-six characters within the Cloud Water Rust, they would have studied them day and night without rest. Xu Lai was being relatively restrained, only studying it for two or three hours a day.

However, he thoroughly enjoyed the gentle massage from his wife, leaning his head back as if it were resting on soft cotton.

And this ’cotton’ was surprisingly resilient.

Zhou Feng stole a glance before quickly looking away.

Liu Nanwei’s lips curled into a grin. It was ti for the daily teasing. "Dr. Zhou, how far have things progressed with your senior sister?"

"None of your business," Zhou Feng, having successfully beco a man, replied forcefully. He no longer got flustered or blushed at Dr. Liu’s risqué jokes.

"Then I’ll just have to ask your senior sister."

"No, don’t!"

Zhou Feng panicked and cleared his throat. "My senior sister went abroad recently, so it’s not convenient to call her."

"Ohhh," Liu Nanwei drew out the sound.

Zhou Feng quickly changed the subject. "Dr. Liu, your belly is getting quite noticeable. You should ask Director Liu for maternity leave."

"But I’d miss you too much."

"..."

Zhou Feng’s face turned green. "We both have families, Dr. Liu. Don’t make jokes like that!"

"PFFT."

Ruan Tang chuckled. "The atmosphere in your dical office is really nice."

"That’s only because Li Shouzhong and Yan Gui aren’t around," Xu Lai said, his head aching. "If they were here, this place would be louder than a marketplace."

Speaking of which, with the dical laboratory back in operation, doctors like Li Shouzhong had thrown themselves back into their work. This ti, however, they had learned their lesson. They ticulously made five copies of all computer data and lab samples, organized everything at 8 p.m. sharp each evening, and stored the copies cautiously in different locations.

"Right, I ca to tell you so good news," Ruan Tang whispered in Xu Lai’s ear, telling him about the company’s progress.

"My wife is so amazing."

"My husband is pretty amazing too."

"Hehe."

The two began showering each other with complints.

Ruan Tang stayed for less than ten minutes before leaving for the company with her secretary. Before she left, she took a rubbing of the Cloud Water Rust Characters, clearly wanting to help ease Xu Lai’s burden.

Xu Lai didn’t have high hopes.

After all, for Ruan Tang, a re mortal, to have been able to transcribe these thirty-six characters from the blinding golden light of the Cloud Water Rust was already an unexpected boon. He couldn’t dare ask for more.

However, less than two hours later, Ruan Tang called. Her voice was hesitant as she said, "Xu Lai, the third Cloud Water Rust Character... it looks like a coordinate, but I don’t quite understand it."

Although she didn’t cultivate, Ruan Tang had picked up a thing or two by osmosis from listening to her younger sister and Ruan Lan discuss it every day.

"Are you serious?"

Xu Lai was stunned. He had studied that third Cloud Water Rust Character for nearly a month without making any headway, feeling like his brain was about to split open.

How long has Ruan Tang been looking at it? And she already figured out it’s a coordinate?

Xu Lai blurted out, "I’m on my way to you now!"
