Big Sister is so beautiful.
Qian Xiao stared blankly. Then, he felt a weight on his shoulder as Xu Lai’s hand landed on it.
"Uncle Xu..."
Qian Xiao was a little panicked. He sensed that sothing was off about Xu Lai’s expression and turned to run, only to be caught firmly.
"Qian Xiao, do you like Yiyi?" Xu Lai asked with a smile.
"I do!" Qian Xiao nodded subconsciously, but Xu Lai’s smile began to fade.
This brat. He really has designs on Yiyi!
Xu Lai’s voice turned stern. "Beibei, has Qian Xiao’s cultivation been slacking off lately?"
Thinking of those terrifying training sessions...
Qian Xiao quickly shook his head and said, "I don’t! Uncle Xu, I misspoke just now. I don’t like Sister Yiyi..."
"You little rascal!" Xu Lai grew even angrier. "My Yiyi is cute, smart, and beautiful. How dare you not like her?"
"..."
Qian Xiao was dumbstruck. He was in an impossible situation.
He cautiously asked, "Uncle Xu, so... should I like her, or should I not like her?"
"Am I asking you, or are you asking ?" Xu Lai impatiently kicked Qian Xiao on the rear. "Go cultivate!"
"Ow!" The kick was so painful that Qian Xiao’s eyes brimd with tears. "You were just looking for an excuse to kick ! Waaah! Uncle Xu, you better rember this: the tables turn every thirty years, so don’t bully a young man for being poor!"
"Sorry, but my side of the river is going to be on top for the next million years," Xu Lai said, his mouth cracking into a radiant smile. "But you do have a point. I should beat you up more often while I still have the chance."
Qian Xiao: "..."
"Waaah! Big Sister, save ! Auntie Ruan Tang, help ! Sister Beibei..."
The beach was filled with Qian Xiao’s tearful cries for help.
「They stayed in Siya until the afternoon of the twenty-ninth of the Lunar New Year.」
At the Siya City Airport, Ruan Tang and Ruan Lan were taking Yiyi ho, and Luo Chu’s family chose to travel with them.
"Daddy, are you really not coming with us?" Yiyi asked pitifully. "I won’t be able to sleep at night if I can’t see you."
"Just let your mom hold you while you sleep," Xu Lai smiled. "I’m going to offer so incense for my master and the others. It’s been five years... If I don’t go this year, the old man will probably call an unfilial disciple."
Ruan Tang didn’t think too much about it and said softly, "Go on, but co back soon."
In the bustling airport terminal, Ruan Tang suddenly threw herself into Xu Lai’s arms and kissed him on the lips. Xu Lai was taken aback. Before he could react, Ruan Tang was already pushing her luggage and leading Yiyi by the hand toward the security checkpoint.
"Brother-in-law, don’t you dare cheat on my sister while you’re out," Ruan Lan threatened, flashing her little tiger teeth. "If I find out you did anything to wrong her, I’ll eat you alive!"
She tried to look fierce, but she was actually quite playful and cute.
"You’ve already bitten before. Don’t your teeth hurt?" Xu Lai asked casually.
Ruan Lan’s face flushed red, and she glared at Xu Lai. "You shaless brother-in-law, all you know is how to flirt!"
Then she left in a huff.
Xu Lai: ???
What are you even talking about? Could you at least make yourself clear?!
After bidding farewell to Luo Chu’s family, Xu Lai’s figure vanished on the spot, reappearing in the starry sky.
Passing by the Moon, Xu Lai let out a surprised ’Huh?’.
Chang’an City still stood tall, containing six relatively strong presences.
Skipping over Chang’an City, he headed deeper onto the Moon. He gradually approached the vicinity of Tangshan, which was once the dwelling place of the waning Moon Clan. After Xu Lai had annihilated them, it had remained vacant for a long ti, as no one dared to live there.
He walked for another few hundred kiloters, arriving at an undulating mountain range devoid of any vegetation, covered only by countless teorite craters. Farther away was the Sea of the Moon. Calling it a sea was a misnor; it was rely a barren, low-lying plain. In the early days, when the Moon’s surface couldn’t be observed clearly, observers on Earth noticed that so parts of the surface were darker and less reflective. They speculated these regions were seas. Consequently, the brighter areas ca to be known as lunar highlands.
There are a total of 22 "seas" on the Moon.
The one before Xu Lai was known as the Yu Sea, stretching over six thousand ters deep. It was as dark as an endless abyss, capable of devouring a person’s mind.
At the edge of the Yu Sea, Xu Lai sensed a familiar presence. It was Hua Country’s Martial Ancestor, Xu Yanyang! He had successfully weathered the ten-colored Nascent Soul Heavenly Tribulation and entered the Nascent Soul Realm. He was tilting his head, gazing into the depths of the Yu Sea.
Although they had t once before, Xu Lai chose not to approach him for a chat. He continued on his way and, in the blink of an eye, left the Milky Way.
Not long after Xu Lai left, a dozen or so figures flickered into view, all with ghostly faces tattooed on their arms that seed to cry yet not cry, to laugh yet not laugh. This was the totem of the Moon Clan.
"Who goes there? How dare you trespass on the Moon Clan’s forbidden land!" the sixteen Moon Clansn shouted in unison.
Xu Yanyang, seated cross-legged with his eyes closed, had a long saber lying across his lap, as if he hadn’t heard the shouts from behind him.
"How audacious!"
"Another fool with a saber... Does he really think he’s Xu Yanyang?"
"He must be from the Human Race. Kill him and take his head back to the Moon Clan for a reward!"
The Moon Clansn exchanged glances, their eyes filled with murderous intent as they slowly advanced, the spiritual energy within their bodies surging wildly.
"Sigh."
Xu Yanyang let out a soft sigh. That one sigh landed like a colossal mountain on the Moon Clansn’s shoulders. Their faces instantly turned deathly pale, and they were sent flying backward like kites with broken strings. They couldn’t get back up.
"The Moon Clan... not so strong after all," Xu Yanyang remarked, a little disillusioned.
「Three hundred years ago.」
He had single-handedly defended Chang’an City with his saber for a hundred years. He wasn’t invincible then and was often injured. But now, it seed the Moon Clan wasn’t all that great.
Then again, I’m in the Nascent Soul Realm now.
Xu Yanyang stood up and turned around. When the sixteen Moon Clansn saw his face, they were all dumbstruck.
"You’re Xu Yanyang!"
"Impossible! Xu Yanyang is dead, you can’t be him..."
The Moon Clansn scread as if they had seen a ghost, unable to believe a dead man was standing before them. Could it be true, as the clan legends said, that the forbidden Yu Sea could bring back the souls of the dead?
Xu Yanyang slowly walked toward them. His footsteps were light and silent, yet each one made their hearts pound like thunder.
THUMP.
THUMP.
THUMP.
Unable to endure the tornt, ten of the Moon Clansn grit their teeth and charged forward despite their injuries. Xu Yanyang didn’t even draw his saber. When the attacking Moon Clansn were still ten feet away, their bodies exploded.
The remaining six Moon Clansn were filled with dread.
The dead have returned. And they seem even stronger than before!ŸŸŸ
Yet they did not cower. With furious roars, they prepared to et their deaths, attempting to self-destruct, but none succeeded.
SPLAT. SPLAT. SPLAT. SPLAT.
The ground was littered with blood and severed limbs.
Xu Yanyang didn’t linger, transforming into a streak of light and vanishing into the distance.
However, he failed to notice that the bodies of the dead Moon Clansn were rapidly withering, their hair turning white in an instant, as if their entire life essence had been drained by sothing. Even the still-warm blood on the ground didn’t seep into the soil. Instead, it clung to the surface and flowed into the dark abyss of the Yu Sea.
