Xu Lai nodded.
Yu Ren thanked him again, then dove into the water, swimming toward the deep sea with hundreds of thousands of Sea Demons.
Shaking off the chaotic theories from his mind, Xu Lai walked onto the beach and said to Luo Chu and Qian Song, "Did you catch any abalone?"

Yu Ren returned to the long-unseen Sea City and heard the thunderous cheers of his subordinates. He felt a surge of emotion.
After the excitent passed, he harshly reprimanded Deputy City Lords Xu Bachong and Xu Qitian. Thankfully, their operation hadn't hard a single human.
Otherwise, how could he face his deceased mother!
This Sea City was much like Yuan Man's; both were small barriers containing mountains, bodies of water, and nurous islands. The central island was the Demon King's residence.
But there were no luxurious halls here, just an ordinary earthen house with a grave mound outside, where his mother was buried.
Yu Ren knelt respectfully before the grave. Following human custom, he even offered three sticks of incense, watching as the wisps of smoke slowly dispersed.
"Mother," the Demon King choked out, his eyes rimd with red, "your son has been unfilial. I haven't co to see you in two thousand years."
"I forgot, you hated seeing cry the most."
Yu Ren gave an honest smile, wiping the tears from the corners of his eyes as he briefly told his mother what had happened over the years.
In truth, there wasn't much to tell. During his two-thousand-year imprisonnt, it was the mory of his mother's childhood gentleness and earnest teachings that kept him from hating innocent humans.
As he spoke, Yu Ren's voice turned bitter. "Not long after you passed, Father was killed by the King of Qin. You and he must still be deeply in love in the underworld, right? Father loved his yellow wine, so please don't be angry with him..."
"Tell Father that I will spend the rest of my life finding the King of Qin and Xu Fu, and I will kill them to avenge him!" Yu Ren declared solemnly.
"The Ancient Immortal Path is broken. You can't find them anymore." A childish voice suddenly floated down from the sky.
Yu Ren froze, whipping his head toward the source of the sound.
It was a little boy wearing a red belly-band and holding a stick of candied hawthorns. He sat on a cloud, swinging his little feet.
What is going on today? Yu Ren's heart pounded. He hadn't sensed either of these two individuals arriving. If they were enemies... he wouldn't even know how he had died.
"Don't be afraid." The little boy took a bite of candied hawthorn and smiled brightly. "I'm a good person."
Yu Ren took a sharp breath, discreetly circulating his Spiritual Energy.
The little boy seed sowhat unhappy. Why does this Jiaoren suspect , the 'impartial' Heavenly Dao, instead of The Supre Emperor?
Yes, this little boy was Earth's Heavenly Dao.
He said earnestly, "You want revenge on the King of Qin. I can help you."
"Who are you, and why should I trust you?" Yu Ren remained vigilant.
"I am Heavenly Dao."
Heavenly Dao? But Heavenly Dao is supposed to be a non-sentient force. How can it have a body and consciousness? Yu Ren was baffled.
"Fine, don't believe then," Heavenly Dao mumbled through a mouthful of candied hawthorn. "Your mother's soul never went to the Samsara Sea. Hmm... your father told you about the Samsara Sea, didn't he?"
Yu Ren's pupils dilated. "What did you say?!"
Samsara Sea.
It was one of the forbidden lands of the Immortal Domain.
After death, the souls of all living beings from the countless worlds of the universe would appear in the Samsara Sea. There, they cross the Bridge of Forgetfulness and drink the Reincarnation Soup, severing the karma of their past lives to forge the fate of their next.
There were no exceptions, not even for the living beings of Earth.
"Here."
Heavenly Dao beckoned, and a young woman in her thirties appeared behind him.
This young woman's eyes were closed, her form ethereal, as if she might crumble and dissipate at any mont. The woman, sealed within a transparent crystal, exuded a sacred aura.
Yu Ren cried out in shock, "Mother..."
He beca a streak of light and shot forward, trying to snatch back his mother's soul, but it vanished in an instant.
"You want her?" Heavenly Dao asked with a grin.
Veins bulged on Yu Ren's forehead as he struggled to control his emotions. "What do you want!"
"Whether a person can reincarnate depends on whether their soul can enter the Samsara Sea. If it disperses, they can never reincarnate again. Not a single trace of them will remain in this world."
Heavenly Dao crunched down on the candied hawthorn in his mouth.
His teeth were very white, but to Yu Ren, they felt like giant pincers squeezing his heart.
He suppressed the rage in his heart and forced his trembling voice to steady. "What is it you want?"
This show of respect pleased Heavenly Dao, who nodded in satisfaction. "Well, I'm not a bad person. There's sothing I need you to do for . Once it's done…"
Yu Ren's heartbeat quickened. He looked expectantly at Heavenly Dao, but instead of the answer he wanted, he heard, "We'll talk about it after it's done."
Damn it! Annoyance flared within Yu Ren, but he didn't dare voice a single complaint. He couldn't even bring himself to think about Heavenly Dao's earlier promise to help him get revenge.
At that mont, all he could think about was his mother's soul.
He knelt on one knee and said respectfully, "Yu Ren will obey all your commands."
"Go to the Moon. Don't let those Moon Clan, Earth Clan, Fire Clan, or Water Clan types co to Earth whenever they please. If they provoke soone they shouldn't, I'm the one who ends up suffering," Heavenly Dao said languidly. "By the way, find a man nad Xu Yanyang and tell him it's ti to make good on the promise he made ."
Xu Yanyang? Even though Yu Ren had been imprisoned beneath Naless Mountain, he still knew of this man, who had left an indelible mark on the history of Hua Country's Martial Dao.
He asked, shocked, "Xu Yanyang is still alive?!"
"He should have died, but he chanced upon a great fortune. Much like you, he t a good person."
At this, Heavenly Dao suddenly fell silent.
What a pity. Good people never live long.
Heavenly Dao seed to lose his enthusiasm. "Go on. Get to the Moon through the Human Race's Martial Dao Association. I don't want anyone to know I ca to see you. Otherwise... well, you should know the consequences."
With that, Heavenly Dao vanished.
Yu Ren looked at the cloud lingering in the sky and clenched his fists. Without a mont's hesitation, he turned and left Sea City.

While eating dinner, Xu Lai seed to sense sothing. He frowned slightly. A powerful Divine Sense barrier had just enveloped the entire South Sea region.
