The three Supre Elders were dumbfounded.
Ask their descendants?
A sense of dread gripped the three n’s hearts. Could their descendants have provoked this mysterious senior?
No. That’s impossible. My descendants couldn’t be that foolish.
The highest-ranking Supre Elder also had a thick beard and was an ancestor of Deng Zhe, the leader of the Lower Crescent’s Third Month Clan, from many generations past.
He glared at Deng Zhe, his voice a mixture of anger and fear as he demanded, "What exactly happened!"
"Elder Ancestor..."
Deng Zhe’s head hung even lower as he began to speak, his body shivering. "This senior flew out of the Moon Pit, saved a few Martial Artists from Earth, and then..."
"And then what? Speak up!"
Supre Elder Deng Tianbai kicked Deng Zhe in the leg, not showing his descendant the slightest bit of respect.
What a joke. When the tribe’s very survival is at stake, how could he not be anxious? How could he possibly remain calm?
But when they learned the full story, especially when they heard that the clansn had collectively stomped their feet and shouted ’Void,’ none of the three Supre Elders could remain standing. They all collapsed to their knees.
Their heads struck the floor with resounding THUDS.
"Senior, a misunderstanding... This must be a misunderstanding!"
The Supre Elders’ foreheads were bruised, with trickles of blood seeping out. Their complexions were deathly pale.
They had to explain things clearly, no matter the cost. Otherwise, provoking such a mysterious and powerful figure would undoubtedly bring a world-ending calamity upon their clan!
"Is this your explanation?" A trace of ice entered Xu Lai’s expression.
BOOM!
It was as if a tsunami raged in their hearts; the three Supre Elders knew the senior before them was enraged. This was clear from the unsuppressed Realm pressure he was emanating.
Deng Tianbai stamred in terror, "Senior, how do you believe this matter should be handled? This junior will absolutely comply!"
"I asked for an explanation, and yet you ask ..." Xu Lai nodded. "In that case, I see no reason for your tribe to continue existing. You will comply with that."
"..."
The three Supre Elders’ expressions turned grim. They forced out dry laughs, saying, "Senior, you must be joking."
Xu Lai’s face remained an emotionless mask.
An infinite chill crept into the hearts of Leader Deng Zhe and the other Elders like Zheng Yu and Zheng Ding. Trembling, they didn’t dare utter a word, only lowering their heads as far as they would go.
The silence stretched for a full three minutes, making the already heavy atmosphere even more oppressive.
The expressions on the Supre Elders’ faces were incredibly ugly; they now knew Xu Lai wasn’t joking in the slightest.
A flicker of fury ignited deep within all three of their eyes. They exchanged a look, instantly understanding each other’s intent.
They rose in unison!
"Senior, you are powerful, perhaps a good deal stronger than even the Moon King. We know full well we are no match for you, but are you not going too far?" Deng Tianbai said coldly. "Even the Moon King wouldn’t dare threaten our Lower Crescent’s Third Month Clan with extinction!"
"Oh?" A slight smile touched Xu Lai’s lips.
Interesting. They’ve gone from abjectly begging to icy defiance. These old fellows must have so kind of ace up their sleeves.
Suppressing his killing intent, Xu Lai asked with curiosity, "So, what do you plan to do?"
"We sincerely wished to resolve this misunderstanding, but since you’ve thrown our goodwill back in our face, you have only yourself to bla for what cos next." Deng Tianbai stated icily, "Have Deng Zhe apologize, and we’ll consider this matter concluded. Otherwise—"
In Deng Tianbai’s mind, he and the entire Lower Crescent’s Third Month Clan had already knelt before Xu Lai, even if it was only because of the unbearable Realm pressure. That should be enough of an apology. Having Deng Zhe and the other Elders add a few words would give both sides a graceful way to back down.
"Otherwise?" Xu Lai prompted, his interest piqued.
"It seems you have no intention of settling this amicably. In that case... we have no other choice!"
Deng Tianbai and the other two Supre Elders unleashed their Boundaries simultaneously. In an instant, the sky and earth warped as a violent wind tore across the plains.
They didn’t know where Xu Lai ca from, his exact Boundary, or even his na. The Moon Clan’s heritage, however, stretched back tens of thousands of years. What had they relied on to survive?
Slaughter. Strength. Not kneeling and begging for rcy!
The inherently cruel Moon Clan had never believed in tears, let alone in sothing like rcy. The three Supre Elders were certain that even if a great battle broke out, the Lower Crescent’s Third Month Clan would not be annihilated. At worst, both sides would be grievously wounded.
After all... they possessed a trump card unknown to even the Moon King and the other Upper and Lower Crescent Moon Clans!
But unless it was a matter of life and death, Deng Tianbai had no desire to use it, as it would expose their true strength and arouse the suspicion of the Royal Clan.
But this very mont... was a matter of life and death.
"Moon!"
"Moon!"
"Moon!"
The three Elders roared in unison. The virtual sun in the sky dimd instantly, replaced by three moons: one crescent, one half, and one full. But regardless of their phase, all three were blood-red!
This was a Divine Skill dyed crimson with the blood of countless slaughtered lives—the Blood Moon!
The number of masters proficient in this Divine Skill on the entire Moon was less than a thousand. It placed extre demands on one’s Boundary and ntal state. Anyone who wasn’t utterly ruthless and cold-hearted could easily descend into madness during its cultivation.
Although the three Supre Elders’ Blood Moons had only reached the completion of the first stage, they still whipped up a rain of blood and a fetid wind.
It was as if all of Tangshan had been plunged into Hell.
Innurable vengeful souls drifted across the sky while a sea of blood churned on the ground below, filled with countless skeletons that stared impassively at Xu Lai.
"It’s the Blood Moon Technique!"
"Hiss! The Supre Elders’ Blood Moons are so beautiful. How many millions of people had to be killed to create sothing so stunning?"
"The Moon’s original inhabitants were almost all slaughtered. Our generation isn’t allowed to enter the pigsties to hunt at will unless we make a great contribution..."
"I heard that Earth not only has a beautiful ecosystem but also billions of humans and countless livestock."
"..."
The clansn looked up at the three blood moons in the sky with expressions of longing. This included their leader, Deng Zhe, and the other eight Elders. They too had cultivated the Blood Moon Technique, but they were re novices, nowhere near the complete mastery of the Supre Elders.
After all, this Divine Skill didn’t require ti for cultivation—only a mountain of countless lives to reach Great Perfection!
But the effect was earth-shattering.
To enter the area enveloped by the Blood Moon Divine Skill was to enter the caster’s Domain. Within this Domain, the caster could teleport without limit and wield the roiling Blood Sea in all sorts of attacks, increasing their combat power by thirty percent out of thin air.
Xu Lai tilted his head. "That’s it?"
"This is rely the beginning! I hope you don’t..."
A thick sneer spread across Deng Tianbai’s lips, but before he could finish speaking, Xu Lai yawned out of boredom. A sharp CRACK echoed from the sky.
A fissure had appeared on the three blood moons!
Before the shocked eyes of the more than one million mbers of the Lower Crescent Moon Clan, the fissures on the three blood moons grew wider and wider until the moons shattered and collapsed completely.
"..."
A bizarre silence descended upon the field.
