"Secondly, since these Divine Clan lords won the war, why haven’t we seen a single real Divine Clan member until now?"
The middle-aged woman’s face turned pale.
"Lastly!" The young girl pointed to the introduction posters next to the statues, "Why do these Evil Gods depicted on them look so much like us Hua Clan?"
Finishing her words, the brave young girl looked steadily at the middle-aged woman.
"I hope you can answer these three questions!"
A rattling sound came from the middle-aged woman’s throat, almost questioning her own existence, but she quickly turned furious and screamed.
"Someone, arrest this unreasonable and nonsense-spouting woman; she must have ulterior motives!"
She didn’t even need to say it; the agents clad in black had already swarmed, intending to capture this audacious girl.
"Brother An!" Ao Shu shouted anxiously.
The girl’s unrestrained questioning had immensely pleased Ao Shu, naturally leaving her with a fond impression.
Seeing the black-clad agents aiming to harm the girl, Ao Shu was anxious but dared not act rashly, so she shouted loudly.
Xue An was similarly intrigued by this extraordinarily brave girl, and he couldn’t bear to see a girl daring to resist fall into evil hands, so he decided to act.
But just then, the girl chuckled coldly.
"Can’t win the argument, so you plan to use force? That’s really the typical attitude and style of your Federal Credential Bureau! But I don’t have time to waste with you guys, bye!"
With that, the girl spun around, dodging several agents’ assaults in an instant like a fish swimming through the crowd.
The agents froze momentarily, and their leader shouted loudly, "Quick, chase her, don’t let this woman escape!"
But before they could close in, the girl dexterously weaved through the crowd and soon vanished mysteriously from sight.
"Surround the entire square; no one is allowed to leave; she must be hiding somewhere in the crowd!" the leader shouted loudly.
With the order, the agents immediately surrounded the square and began verifying identities one by one.
The visitors were very cooperative, lining up and starting identity checks in an orderly manner.
"Honey..." An Yan hesitatedly called.
Xue An smiled, signaling not to worry, and casually glanced at the crowd on his left.
It was a group of elderly, likely traveling in a tour group after retirement.
This was nothing strange, but Xue An’s sharp eyes noticed something.
In the elderly tour group, an elderly lady with graying hair seemingly calm on the surface had an undisguised hint of panic in her eyes.
Despite her aged appearance, Xue An noticed her hands were unexpectedly smooth, not what you’d expect for her age.
Seeing this, a faint smile appeared on Xue An’s lips, and he approached her discreetly.
His movement naturally attracted attention; the old lady cautiously retreated.
But just then, Xue An’s voice reached her ears.
"If you want to get out of here, just follow me obediently!"
The elderly lady shuddered all over, looking at Xue An incredulously.
Xue An gave her a barely noticeable nod.
The old lady pondered a bit, noticing agents had already picked up on the situation and were approaching, so she gritted her teeth and followed Xue An.
"How do you plan to get out from here? You realize these agents are elite trained by the Federal Credential Bureau, and closely situated next to a military base? Any situation, and troops would swarm over." she whispered.
Xue An smiled lightly, "You don’t need to worry about that. Just follow me, and I have a way to get you out of here."
Despite her suspicion, with the situation as it was, she could only brace herself and continue following.
Meanwhile, the agents had already reached Xue An and were just about to speak.
Xue An said casually, "Xiao Gourd!"
As soon as he spoke, barely noticeable electric currents spread out, connecting to each agent’s mind.
The agents jolted and stood still, looking dazed.
At the same time, a flash appeared in Xue An’s eyes, enveloping the area with immense Divine Sense power, controlling those without chips in their minds.
In an instant, the bustling square quieted down.
The stunning sight left the girl’s mouth agape, full of disbelief.
She knew how troublesome these agents were.
It’s not that they were highly skilled; it’s that the chips implanted in their minds were far superior to general control chips, connected in a network. Any anomaly in one triggers an immediate alert, and others swarmed over.
Yet now, these usually arrogant agents stood motionless like wooden statues.
The group then openly walked past the agents without any disturbance.
Passing the middle-aged woman, Ao Shu couldn’t stand her earlier deceit and slapped her.
Slap!
The slap was heavy, sending her flying, yet she didn’t utter a sound, falling to the ground like a deadwood stump.
"Ao Shu!" Xue An called.
"Hmph, you’re lucky! If not for avoiding alerting them, I’d have skinned you alive!" Ao Shu said angrily.
The group then calmly exited the square, boarding a strange flying device.
Only after flying beyond the square’s area did the girl recover from her shock.
She quickly transformed back into the neat student she was before in an instant.
"Are you with the resistance forces?"
But she immediately refuted herself.
"No, if the resistance were that capable, they wouldn’t be retreating against the Federal Credential Bureau!"
"So who exactly are you?"
Xue An chuckled, "Who do you think we are?"
