Late at night, the cri scene in White Beach Town was lit up as bright as day by the headlights of a wheeled armored vehicle.

Inside and outside the light, a dozen National Guard soldiers were fully ard but seed a bit bored.

They were ordered to maintain order, but no force in this small town dared to challenge their might.

The soldiers leaned against the armored vehicle, whispering to each other and occasionally glancing at the busy FBI agents with a hint of disdain and helplessness in their eyes.

The FBI agents appeared exceptionally tense. They gripped their guns tightly, their steps cautious, carefully searching every corner of the houses, ready to respond to any sudden situation.

As they entered the basent, a damp mist greeted them. Under the bright lights, the puddles on the floor reflected a blinding glare.

Zhou Qingfeng was outside the house, pondering how to investigate the background of the "Funeral Bell," while Kongges was awakening from anesthesia in the basent.

His vision was blurry, and he could hear so cold conversations nearby. He struggled to lift his head, seeing a few agents busy searching the room, paying no attention to him.

"Help... Help my wife and daughter..." Kongges sat up shakily from the floor, his voice trembling and weak.

He reached out as if trying to grab sothing, but only caught air. His pleas echoed in the basent, unanswered.

One agent heard the sound, turned his head, and frowned, asking, "Who is this guy?"

The agent next to him glanced over and said indifferently, "That’s Kongges, the previously wanted criminal. Now... he’s gotten lucky.

That Asian kid pulled so strings with the Departnt of Justice. The case in White Beach Town is being re-investigated. Help him up and take him back for questioning."

The questioning agent looked at Kongges’ burly fra and shook his head, "I can’t lift him. Let him get up by himself."

Kongges’ hand fell weakly, despair filling his eyes. His pleas went unanswered as agents coldly ignored him.

One agent impatiently said, "We’ll take your statent after we’ve dealt with things here. Don’t interfere with our work now."

Kongges felt like he was being abandoned by the whole world. His wife and daughter’s fate hung by a thread, and he was powerless.

The deputy director of the FBI, Schulte, entered the basent.

Kongges, judging by his age and appearance that he was a high-ranking official, struggled to stand up, desperately pleading, "Please... my wife and daughter... they haven’t been found... you must save them!"

Schulte, intent on taking Matthew’s family away, deliberately sidestepped Kongges and formally said, "Rest assured, we will do our best."

Just then, the deputy director’s phone rang. He glanced at the number on the screen, his expression slightly changing, then turned and left the basent to take the call in private.

anwhile, Director Matthew, nearly exhausted from waterboarding, broke free from his restraints and was supported by two FBI agents.

Though too weak to stand steady, his eyes looked coldly at Kongges, a malicious grin spreading across his face as if to say, "You’re done. Your wife and daughter are done too."

Matthew’s family was also released one by one. They openly displayed their hatred for Kongges, cursing and swearing that his wife and daughter would suffer endless humiliation and tornt.

Kongges felt chills in his limbs, his heart filled with despair.

Zhou Qingfeng returned to the basent. He picked up a heavy cardboard box from the corner and was about to leave.

His audacious move imdiately drew the FBI agents’ attention.

"Hey, kid, what are you doing? This place is under our control, you can’t enter. Put down what you’re holding and get out imdiately!" one agent shouted sternly.

Another agent stepped forward, glanced at the box, and said angrily, "You’re taking evidence in front of us! Put it down, or I’ll arrest you right now!"

Zhou Qingfeng was holding a box of US dollar cash, one of Matthew’s many ill-gotten gains. Facing the agents’ obstruction, he scornfully said, "Get lost, don’t look for trouble."

The agents wouldn’t back down, and the confrontation escalated instantly.

Director Matthew, seeing this, sohow mustered the strength and shouted at Zhou Qingfeng, "It’s him! He tortured ! Arrest him!"

An FBI agent imdiately raised his gun, shouting, "Who gave you the authority to illegally use torture? I’m arresting you!"

The conflict escalated further.

Just as Zhou Qingfeng was about to call the ground soldiers for help, Kongges suddenly erupted. He grabbed a rifle from the corner, aiming it directly at the agents, his voice hoarse and angry:

"You bastards! I begged you to save my wife and daughter, but you did nothing! Now you act righteous for a tortured suspect!

If you won’t help , then let take the responsibility! Are you willing to gamble with your lives, to die in the line of duty?"

Soone had torn the mask off, and the atmosphere in the basent instantly froze.

The agents were stunned, unable to dodge the gun’s aim, retreating repeatedly.

Soone tried to calm Kongges with the law, "Kongges, calm down! This is illegal! Put down the gun, and we can talk it out!"

Kongges had lost all reason. He shoved the rifle barrel against an agent’s forehead, forcing them to raise their hands against the wall, unable to bear the excruciating pain but too frightened to make a sound.

"Calm down? You calm down now! Calm down! You try calming down!" Kongges jabbed the rifle barrel like a headless spear, making the agent wince in pain.
