Late at night, he wore a dark baseball cap, the brim pulled low, covering most of his face.

His complexion was sallow, as if he had makeup on, his expression was sowhat stiff, giving off an indescribable eerie feeling.

But from his sitting posture, his physique was quite strong, the muscles on his sleeveless arms were knotted, almost as thick as an average woman’s calf, clearly a powerful guy.

The colleague’s face flashed with a gossip light, and he lowered his voice even more, speaking mysteriously, "Guess what he just asked ?"

Lucy’s curiosity was instantly piqued, her eyes sparkling, "What did he ask?"

"He asked what ti you get off work." The colleague finished, his tone tinged with a hint of jealousy, "Lucy, you’re really lucky."

Lucy was montarily stunned, greatly surprised.

The man by the window, though looking sowhat odd, had a robust build and mysterious aura that was hard to ignore.

In the United States, this kind of "big muscle" type of man is highly popular, always becoming the center of attention wherever he goes.

"Impossible..." Lucy murmured to herself, yet a tinge of anticipation surfaced in her heart.

Being an ordinary-looking, average-built girl with a modest educational background, she never dared to dream of eting any "Prince Charming."

She couldn’t help but glance again at the man by the window, shaking her head, "I don’t even know him, why would he be interested in ?"

The colleague patted her shoulder, speaking with confidence, "I assure you, he is absolutely interested in you. Go talk to him, maybe you’ll have a date tonight."

Lucy’s heart raced, her palms slightly sweating. She looked down at her uniform, touched her sowhat ssy hair, hesitated,

"But... am I okay like this? Will he think I’m weird?"

"He’s weirder than you." Mary rolled her eyes and gave her a push, "Don’t overthink it! This is a rare opportunity, go for it! Be proactive."

Lucy took a deep breath, stiff-legged, she walked toward the window seat.

Seeing her approach, the man smiled and pulled out an ID from his pocket, "Hi, Lucy, I’m Victor, an agent from the FBI Miami Branch.

I have so questions for you, I hope it won’t cause you too much trouble."

As soon as she saw the ID, all of Lucy’s hopes vanished instantly, her smile disappeared, and she couldn’t help but curse, "oh, shit!"

Given Zhou Qingfeng’s current identity, moving about openly was akin to throwing himself into a trap. Thus, he decided to play it big—by forging a fake identity.

Since he was going to forge, he might as well go all out. He decided to disguise himself as an FBI agent.

For this, Zhou Qingfeng specially underwent three days of "FBI special training."

"Gray Shark" gathered a bunch of information about the FBI from the internet, including books, interviews, docuntaries, and even Hollywood movies.

All this information was cramd to Zhou Qingfeng for an intensive "basic knowledge" session.

From the FBI’s organizational structure to the daily behavior norms of agents, down to the common phrases used during investigations, Zhou Qingfeng absorbed this information like a sponge.

Three days later, Zhou Qingfeng transford into a federal investigator on a solo mission.

The mont Lucy saw the ID, she didn’t doubt its authenticity at all. She sighed, her tone carrying a hint of helplessness and fatigue,

"Damn, I finally found a stable job, why do you guys keep bothering ?"

What?!

Lucy continued on her own, "I’ve turned over a new leaf! I haven’t stolen, defrauded, trafficked contraband, or hard anyone..."

She beca more agitated as she spoke, her eyes even starting to redden, her voice carrying a sobbing tone.

Zhou Qingfeng suspected he might have found the wrong person, or had missed a few pages while looking at the file. He scrutinized Lucy’s face, trying to find clues in her features.

Indeed, there were traces of Old Hamr in her brow and eyes, especially in the slightly drooping corners and her sowhat stubborn chin. This girl was definitely Hamr Lee’s granddaughter.

"Wait, Lucy," Zhou Qingfeng had to interrupt her chatter, otherwise, she might never stop, "I’m not here to investigate your past."

Lucy was stunned for a mont, lifting her tear-filled eyes to look at him, "Then what do you want?"

Zhou Qingfeng took a deep breath, trying to make his tone as gentle as possible, "I’m here to find your grandfather, Hamr Lee."

Lucy’s mouth instantly ford an "O" shape, after a light sigh, she shook her head, "Sorry, you’ve got the wrong person. That damned old fool should be in so nursing ho now."

Zhou Qingfeng shook his head, "No, your grandfather is not in a nursing ho. He left half a year ago. I hope you can provide so clues."

Upon hearing this, Lucy burst into laughter, ", provide clues? I’ve barely seen that old man a few tis since I was a kid, he’s practically a stranger to ."

After saying that, she turned and left, leaving Zhou Qingfeng sitting there alone.

Watching Lucy’s retreating figure, Zhou Qingfeng wondered if he had mistaken the character. Perhaps throwing a stack of US Dollars might have yielded better results.

It seed now that her attitude towards Hamr Lee was colder than he expected.

-----------------

Zhou Qingfeng felt a bit embarrassed being left there, he recalled his ’crash course’ training, what should a normal FBI agent do in such a situation?

Should he forcibly take Lucy for a record or have a gentle heart-to-heart conversation with her?

Before Zhou Qingfeng could decide, an argunt suddenly broke out in the restaurant.

A sturdy custor was arguing with a staff mber for so unknown reason, their voices growing louder and louder, escalating to a shouting match.

At this point, the staff mber could have called the police.

But Lucy suddenly shouted to Zhou Qingfeng, "Mr. FBI agent, can I borrow your ID?"

This shout attracted everyone’s attention in the restaurant to Zhou Qingfeng. Internally he wanted to curse, what kind of ss did they want him to handle now?

"For this kind of matter, find the police, a federal agent doesn’t handle this." Zhou Qingfeng ignored it, not wanting to get involved at all.

As a federal-level investigation agency, indeed, the FBI doesn’t handle such trivial matters.

However, the quarreling custor was relentless, staring at Zhou Qingfeng and asking, "Are you really FBI? I want to see your ID." After saying that, he walked towards Zhou Qingfeng.

Zhou Qingfeng had never seen soone so eager to die, but he couldn’t casually show his badge and ID—if they noticed any flaws, it would be trouble.

So he lifted his coat, revealing the holster on his side and the P320 pistol in it.

Seeing the gun, the sturdy custor imdiately sobered up, raising his hands to show he was harmless and slowly backing away, "OK, I believe you’re an FBI."

A potential conflict was thus diffused, and the restaurant’s atmosphere beca sowhat more lively.

But Zhou Qingfeng couldn’t stay any longer, he stood up with a heavy heart, walked to the cashier, and handed Lucy a business card, "If there’s any situation, you can call ."

Lucy rolled her eyes but still took the card.

-----------------

As he walked out of the restaurant, Zhou Qingfeng felt deeply regretful—impersonating the FBI was truly a bad move, tying his hands and making it impossible to gain Lucy’s trust.

Had he known, he might as well have impersonated a kidnapper, directly abducting her and forcing her to speak, which might have been more efficient.

But just two hundred ters out, Zhou Qingfeng’s phone rang, it was an unknown number. Upon answering, a voice called for help, "Help, hey...FBI, co save ."

The voice sounded like Lucy.

Zhou Qingfeng imdiately turned around, taking just over ten seconds to rush back to the restaurant like a storm, shouting, "Where’s Lucy?"

This shout made everyone’s ears buzz, custors and staff were startled. A colleague close to Lucy pointed to the back kitchen, "Lucy just got off work, she left through the back door."

Zhou Qingfeng dashed into the kitchen, found the back door, and pursued her. His swift and determined actions were both impressive and intimidating, visually impactful.

A custor in the restaurant couldn’t help but question, "Wow, is he really a federal agent? Could he be a fake?"
