The mont the gunfight erupted, Mills, like a frightened rabbit, swiftly hid in the shadows at the police station entrance. His back pressed against the cold wall, his heart pounding wildly like a drum.

Under the faint ergency light at the entrance, he saw Stock and several other "bounty hunters" rush back, guns in hand, faces filled with fierceness and greed.

At that mont, a deep regret surged in Mills’ heart. He bit his lip, his mind quickly recalling all that had happened.

This was clearly a simple "feint east, attack west" tactic!

First, use him to attract the attention of the police inside; then cut off the town’s power, letting darkness beco the best cover; finally, drive a truck through the fragile wall of the police station.

The town’s police station was extrely poor, its walls patched together with wooden boards, which could be kicked in with a foot, and never considered preventing jailbreaks.

"If I were smarter and saw through their plan in advance, would Monica appreciate ?"

Mills even fantasized about being bolder, luring that kid nad Victor in reverse, possibly earning that million bounty and living a carefree life thereafter.

However, reality doesn’t entertain "what ifs."

Stock was overly eager, leading his n back into the police station without hesitation, but they misjudged and took several bullets to the face.

Mills was just three ters away, watching in horror as Stock’s head burst like a waterlon, blood and brains splattering, staining the walls and floor.

At that mont, Mills’ stomach churned, almost making him vomit. Without hesitation, he turned and fled, his steps frantic like a headless fly.

When the Departnt of Holand Security agents dragged Monica away, Mills mustered up his courage to follow, trying to squeeze into the command car.

However, the driving agent rudely pushed him away.

Mills stumbled back a few steps, watching the command car spew black smoke, leaving a pungent tail gas, before he shouted at the distant car rear, "I haven’t gotten in yet!"

Turning back, Mills saw Zhou Qingfeng walking out of the police station with a cold face. Only then did he realize...

This kid was tough not because of the numbers of his subordinates, but because he himself was too strong.

Monica made a big mistake focusing solely on taking down Zhou Qingfeng’s n, which only provoked him.

"The suspect is alone!" Mills stared at Zhou Qingfeng, shouting into the surrounding darkness, "He’s really alone! Hurry up and catch him!"

Indeed, the sound of vehicle engines roared around the police station, with twenty to thirty vehicles and hundreds of military police rapidly approaching, possibly appearing the next second.

Zhou Qingfeng glanced at Mills coldly and fired a shot. The bullet precisely hit Mills’ forehead, cutting off his voice abruptly.

Zhou Qingfeng then retreated into the dilapidated police station.

As if the next mont, two police cars appeared outside the station, with several policen aiming long and short guns at the entrance, seeing the bleeding corpse at the foot of the stairs.

The policen hesitated, not daring to rush into the pitch-black station; instead, they started calling for reinforcents.

-----------------

Several days later, in the small town of Palatka, Florida, over a hundred kiloters from Orlando.

Zhou Qingfeng woke up in an ordinary house. The curtains fluttered, and the air was filled with the dampness of dawn.

An old-style alarm clock on the bedside table pointed to six thirty. The rising sunlight filtering through thin curtains cast mottled shadows.

The bed was warm, and Hari, with her mixed-race long legs, lazily curled up in his arms, sleeping soundly.

He got up and walked into the bathroom, staring at himself in the mirror, turning on the faucet, splashing so water on his face to clear his mind.

The mories of his two lives were rging. Sotis he’d recall his apocalyptic experiences and dealing with those who had once caused him pain.

Ellison Parker was just one of dozens of targets, taking him down was only the beginning.

The consequence of this action was that he couldn’t peacefully serve as the president of ’Holy Light,’ having to face the forthcoming apocalypse... and the pursuit of ’Tree of Justice.’

The counterattack on a recent dark night had so effect; though he couldn’t eliminate Monica, it made her considerably retreat.

However, a terrorist organization couldn’t be reasoned with; they would stop at nothing to achieve their goals, lacking any sense of right or wrong.

Their clash had already escalated, Zhou Qingfeng was still wanted, all exposed financial chains were sealed, his forces scattered swiftly, and the power accumulated in half a year crumbled rapidly.

’Tree of Justice’ probably set eyes on his remaining ten billion US Dollars in bank deposits. Wasn’t this the perfect ti to kill him and seize the funds?

But now, the brutal conflict returned to square one.

-----------------

From the direction of the bed ca the sound of rustling. Zhou Qingfeng turned to see Hari wrapped in a thin sheet, barefoot, walking to the bathroom door.

She leaned against the door fra, sleepily looking at him, her voice carrying a lazy tease, "What’s the matter, my president?"

"Had a nightmare." Zhou Qingfeng responded casually.

Hari chuckled lightly, letting the sheet fall to the ground, walking gracefully into the bathroom, and embracing the man from behind.

Her soft body pressed against Zhou Qingfeng’s back, her nimble fingers wandering across his chest. Hari teased, "Need so relaxation? Let help chase away your nightmare."
