In the Interdiate Entropic Rift.
A breath later, the beam of silver light shot out from Kitsuul winked out.
And then...
BZZT!
A gravitational shimr flickered around Kitsuul, her tails spiraling, her fur bristling with magnetized shimr. The bisected corpses of the Entropic Beasts trembled... then began to lift.
The severed halves, tons upon tons of twitching, armored, lightning-fueled muscle, flew toward her, dragged through the air by silver-light gravity chains only she could conjure.
Their bodies compressed mid-flight.
And then...
CRUNCH!
They vanished into her mouth and tails.
Devoured whole.
Gone.
As if they had never been born.
The blue-lit land shuddered in reverence.
Serena gaped, her lips parted slightly. Her serpent hissed in shocked awe.
And...
’Kitsuuuul~’
Kitsuul released a cry of joy as if she had eaten so decent quality materials.
And Damian also stepped forward.
And each step cracked the ground.
A silver aura flared around him like a storm given form, blades of wind, whips of energy coiling around his fra.
His Trial Guardian suit shimred as his body moved like a blade being drawn.
His voice was low.
"Kitsuul."
Her massive head turned toward him, blood glistening silver on her fur.
"Draw in more. I want the Symbiotic Resonance ones."
A pulse of danger surged through the air at those words.
And Kitsuul smiled with mischief.
’As you command, Master.’
Her tails flared wider, nine crescent moons igniting in rhythm.
The air changed.
From charged to choking.
From lightning to silver.
The Unique Species Scent, no longer just a leak, now began to spiral. Thin threads of glimring silver vapor flowed from her tails, winding into the sky, weaving into the wind like a forbidden prayer sung to the apex predators of this Rift.
Every Entropic Beast within miles would feel it.
Would know it.
Would be compelled to chase it.
But even that wasn’t enough.
Damian exhaled once, then jumped.
He shot forward like a teor.
And he crashed into the next Initiate Entropic Beast, an armored, trunk-whipping titan that roared as it turned its head.
Damian’s hand shot forward like a spear, his fingers wrapped in light so dense they humd.
With a single slash...
BOOM!
The beast split down the middle gloriously.
Damian landed lightly, the two halves crashing to the ground behind him with wet finality.
He stood in the wake of destruction, eyes glowing with cold intensity.
"Serena."
He called out to the shocked Trial Guardian behind him.
"Devour the ones I kill and get stronger. Otherwise, it will be hard for you to stay alive soon."
...!
His Entropic Energy level and Kitsuul’s were much higher. Trendously so as they were in the tens of thousands, nearing 100,000 within the next few hours likely, while Serena had hers below 1,000.
It was far too weak.
So, she had to move up.
And in her shock, she seed to know this as she beca stern, commanding the Void Serpent to move with her as they both appeared beside the bisected Initiate Entropic Beast, their black flas latching onto it as they began to devour it and its Obsidian Crystal.
Damian watched this with a nod before he turned his head slightly, toward the deeper part of the forest.
Toward the unseen horrors that now stirred.
He smiled with anger.
"Let them co."
And they would.
Because Kitsuul’s scent had already reached them.
The ground rumbled again.
Distant cries echoed like thunder under water.
Far beyond the horizon, sothing massive shifted.
And the Hunt escalated as it was no longer just auras of Initiate Entropic Beast that flared.
Heavy, brilliant auras of Symbiotic Resonance Entropic Beasts also ca.
The shift in the air was imdiate.
The ground trembled beneath Damian’s boots, faint at first, but growing. The pulse of Entropy thickened, no longer a haze, but a crashing tide.
The air shimred.
And the distant, thunderous calls of sothing greater echoed.
Not the crackling cries of Initiate Entropic Beasts.
No.
These were deeper.
Heavier.
Predators that had earned the silence around their steps.
Kitsuul’s tails flared, spreading wide as she lowered her massive body, talons digging into the blue ground.
[Master,] she murmured in his mind, voice low, almost reverent. [They’re coming. Slightly strong ones.]
Damian only nodded, blood thrumming with a quiet, simring fury.
His fingers flexed once, silver radiance cracking the space around his hand like fracturing ice.
Ahead, the blue mist parted.
And from the electric haze erged...
Them.
Three towering beasts, each over 15 ters tall.
Larger than anything they had faced.
Larger than anything most would survive.
Their forms were a violent amalgamation of beast and storm, elephantine shapes plated in shifting crystal, tusks ford from pure obsidian energy. Their eyes, six on each face, glead with unnatural brightness, each socket pouring out lightning.
Their skin wasn’t just armored.
It was alive.
Motes of Entropic lightning energy bled from them, warping the ground as they stepped.
Symbiotic Resonance Entropic Beasts.
Their auras crashed across the cracked landscape, and even from a distance, Damian could gradually see their Entropic Energy Values through the visors provided by ZENTHRA.
Each one exceeded 50,000.
Brilliantly powerful. Perfect for them.
Kitsuul growled, low and rumbling, and silver vapor coiled from her jaws.
Behind him, Serena paused in her devouring, sweat forming at her brow as her Serpent hissed nervously. She gritted her teeth with a sense of apprehension.
But this was exactly what Damian wanted.
He clenched his fists as his body beca surrounded by waves of silver brilliance and he actually jumped up and proceeded to land on the back of Kitsuul.
Towering over ten ters tall, her body was now more than large enough to allow multiple of him to ride on top.
And as he did so, he felt as if their bond beca even deeper.
Kitsuul buzzed with a sense of excitent as her silver wings vibrated, a sense of happiness flowing within her amidst all of this danger.
She spoke out at such a ti just for him to hear.
’I can feel Master’s need to get stronger and stronger. I promise you that I will devour loads of Pure Entropic Energy and Beasts until I get you the power you need. Until I can make Master smile, truly smile and be carefree like Kitsuul!’
