She watched as the scenery continuously retreated, and those gossipy onlookers stared at them in shock. She had a feeling that Poe Vaughn was going to make her disappear.
The feeling was terrifying.
The arms that held onto Poe Vaughn subconsciously let go, her lips no longer biting him. She instinctively wanted to distance herself, to run away.
However, he seed to know her intention. Just as her hand loosened and her body was no longer pressed against him, his arm imdiately tightened. Then, Ava Sterling was forced to lean against him again, once more pressed against his body.
Ava Sterling: "..."
Ava Sterling stiffened, not moving, like a piece of wood in Poe Vaughn’s arms.
What’s going on?
Wasn’t he supposed to shake her off? Wasn’t he supposed to get rid of her for snooping about his mother? How could he be holding her? And even walking with her in his arms?
What does he want to do? Where is he taking her? Could it be because there are so many people here, he wants to take her to a secluded place to deal with her?
Yes, that must be it.
This is the airport, with all sorts of surveillance and people. If he really did sothing to her in public view, it would easily be reported, and that would be troubleso.
Of course, he has the ability to handle it, but it would be a lot of trouble, unnecessarily so.
