Ava Sterling was left dumbfounded by what Poe Vaughn said, standing there blankly with her mind in a haze.
It’s as if you think the sky is about to collapse, an imminent catastrophe, only to find that at the very mont of disaster, the sky clears up and it’s perfectly sunny.

Indeed, it felt like her very soul almost vanished...
Truly, this sound was way too damn loud!
Loud enough to terrify anyone!
Sister Wei was in the kitchen, Ava’s earlier words left her stunned and speechless.
Why doesn’t the lady believe what she says? Everything she says is true, how can the lady possibly trust that her husband cares for her?
Sister Wei was very anxious, yet so anxious that she didn’t know what to do.
Watching Ava head out, unable to utter a word to stop her.
But just as Sister Wei was anxiously wondering what to do, a massive door-slamming sound ca from outside, as if soone had left.
Sister Wei’s heart tightened, her face changed, she couldn’t care about all that anymore, hurriedly rushing outside, to see Ava standing like a wooden statue outside, with no trace of Poe Vaughn in the living room.
Seeing this, Sister Wei was instantly heartbroken.
Mr. Vaughn left, certainly upset, unable to stay here any longer.
Mr. Vaughn’s heart is hurt.
At this mont, Sister Wei’s eyes turned red with sadness, she said, "Madam, Mr. Vaughn is hurt."
"Your words earlier hurt his heart deeply."
These words were filled with sorrow, imnse sorrow.
She could say she watched Mr. Vaughn grow up, and he’s truly a good person, from childhood till now, he’s always been a remarkably good man.
Though Mr. Vaughn doesn’t talk much, he’s always thoughtful.
He would give her red envelopes and gifts during holidays and New Year’s, prepare things for her children and family, and if she made a mistake, he wouldn’t bla her.
Especially, if Mr. Vaughn overheard her on the phone discussing family difficulties, he would take the initiative to help solve them, such a good man, why doesn’t the lady believe him?
Sister Wei truly couldn’t understand.
She hoped the lady treats Mr. Vaughn well, hoping she sincerely loves and protects him, instead of fearing him.

Instead of slamming the door and leaving.
