But quickly, she reacted, imdiately standing upright from his embrace, grabbing his shirt front, and said excitedly: "Do you not know what’s been happening during this period?"

Saying that, Ava Sterling’s hand fell on Poe Vaughn’s chest, soothing as if she was appeasing him.

After hanging up, Poe Vaughn gazed at the kitchen counter, the seasonings beside, various and plentiful.
