Ava stopped talking and quickly said, "Grandma, I need to take a call."

Saying this, Ava went outside with her phone, worried that Sharon and the maids might talk and be overheard by the person on the line, so Ava sat directly in the car before answering the call.

"Eric."

That’s right, the call was from Eric.

Lauren had already phoned Eric, informing him that Ava had been found and that everything was okay, so there was no need to worry.

Eric asked Lauren what had happened to Ava and why she suddenly couldn’t be contacted. Lauren said she didn’t know, and before she could finish speaking, Ava had hung up the phone.

So, Eric decided to call Ava, but Ava’s line was busy for a long ti, so Eric waited patiently.

Finally, after waiting awhile, Eric called Ava again, and Ava finally picked up.

Ava’s voice ca through the phone, and Eric sighed in relief, saying, "What happened? Do you know how long we’ve been looking for you?"

"We all thought sothing happened to you and you disappeared. I even reported it to the police."

Eric’s serious voice ca through, and Ava could hear the concern within it.

To her, Eric was both ntor and friend; she knew he cared about her.

"I was in a bad mood last night, drank a lot, got a fever, and left my phone in the car, so I didn’t know you guys were calling."

Eric was not Lauren, who would ask many questions, so she just briefly explained the situation to reassure Eric.

Listening to the voice on the phone, Eric frowned; so this was the situation.

"How are you now? Do you still have a fever?"

"A slight fever, but it’s not serious. I’m about to head to the company now."

Ava said, starting the car.

Eric frowned, "Are you really okay? If you can’t hold up, just rest first. I’ll have soone train them."

Ava smirked, "What’s a slight fever? Am I that fragile?"

"I know you’re not that fragile, but you’ve already got a minor injury, and now you have a fever, so your resistance must be down. Taking a break won’t affect anything, you can co tomorrow."

"It’s fine. My schedule isn’t tight, I can finish classes in the afternoon and rest at night, no problem."

Hearing her words and tone reassured Eric. "Okay, but if you can’t hold up, tell directly."

"Okay."

Hanging up the phone, Ava relaxed.

Everything had cald down, but she needed to avoid drinking like that again.

Too many things, it’s not good.

Ava put the phone aside and was about to leave when she suddenly thought of sothing and looked towards the door.

Her grandmother was still in the house; she couldn’t just leave like this.

Thinking this, Ava opened the car door, got out, and walked quickly into the villa.

Sharon was sitting on the couch reading, waiting for Ava.

Sharon waited, and naturally, so did the maids.

Both were a bit worried and nervous because they heard the car engine start, fearing Ava might be heading to work despite feeling unwell.

Yet, Sharon said nothing, just sat on the couch reading.

Not worried or in a hurry at all.

The maid gazed outside, and upon seeing the car door open and Ava getting out and coming in quickly, she happily announced, "The lady’s back!"

At this mont, the other maid couldn’t quite read Sharon’s thoughts. Typically, Sharon would be worried, even forbidding Ava to go out, but now, Sharon seed very calm, as if not worried at all.

Now, hearing the maid’s voice, the other maid saw Ava coming in quickly.

Ava hurried to Sharon, "Grandma, I..."

"Finished your call?"

Sharon closed her book, looked at Ava, and interrupted her with a loving smile.

Before Ava could answer, Sharon said, "Let’s go have lunch, Grandma is hungry."

With that, Sharon stood up and took Ava’s hand to the dining table.

The words Ava had been ready to say instantly disappeared.

Seeing the food laid out on the table, untouched, the elderly had been waiting for her, waiting to eat together.

Ava’s heart softened as she held Sharon’s hand, "Okay, Grandma."

She had to stay for this al with her grandmother, and only after eating would she head to the company.

Sharon smiled.

The two sat down, and Sharon invited the doctor to dine with them.

Soon everyone was at the table, and the maid served Sharon and Ava food. Sharon said, "Ava, eat up. You’re weak now; you need to replenish yourself."

"Okay."

Ava was indeed hungry, her stomach empty. Once the food was on her plate, she started eating.

She was like this, with an appetite even when sick, completely unaffected.

Seeing Ava’s consistent good appetite, Sharon’s smile deepened.

Being able to eat and sleep well is a good sign.

After lunch, Ava told Sharon, "Grandma, I have work in the afternoon. I’ll head to the company first. You don’t have to worry about my health, I’m fine."

Sharon nodded, gently patting her hand, "Then go, and co ho after you’re done. Grandma will be waiting for you at ho."

Ava had been prepared with many words, fearing her grandmother wouldn’t let her out, but surprisingly, she agreed so readily.

But...

"You’ll be waiting for at ho?"

"Yes, you’re sick; how can Grandma be at ease? I’ll only feel relieved when you’re well."

This ans... if she’s not well, Grandma won’t leave?

Ava was taken aback.

And after speaking, Sharon told the maid, "Have the driver take Ava to the company."

The maid nodded, "Yes."

She went to instruct the driver, and Ava stood there, opening her mouth and giving a dry laugh, "Grandma, I can drive myself."

Sharon frowned, disagreeing, "How can that be?"

"Driving when sick is dangerous. Just let the driver take you."

"Alright, no more discussing. Go and co back soon, have dinner at ho tonight."

Finishing her words, Sharon suddenly rembered to ask, "Are you coming ho tonight?"

Of course, she needed to co ho, but with Grandma here, she inexplicably didn’t really want to co back.

"Yes."

"Ha ha, then Grandma can be at ease. Go on."

This ti, Ava didn’t have to leave on her own. Sharon pushed her out, watching her get into the car.

Ava sat in the car, looking at the person waving her off on the steps, her heart was warm. She rolled down the window, waved to Sharon with a smile, "Goodbye, Grandma~"

Sharon waved at her, looking particularly kind and friendly, "Take care of yourself."

"I will."

The car started and slowly drove out of the villa. Sharon stood there watching until the car disappeared from sight, then she turned around and went back inside.

The maid looked at Sharon. The elderly lady no longer had a smile on her face, pondering sothing.

At this mont, the maid couldn’t figure out the elderly lady’s thoughts and said, "Ma’am, you’ll be staying here these next few days?"
