Ava’s anger was sizzling, showing no sign of subsiding, but when Lauren’s words reached her ears, Ava’s anger was imdiately halted.

Cooking?

Yeah!

We agreed yesterday with Jace, but we haven’t set a ti yet.

Ava’s anger was instantly extinguished. She quickly took out her phone to check the ti; it was already past noon, just like that.

However, because of today’s class, she doesn’t have to attend in the afternoon, nor tomorrow.

She has ti both today and tomorrow.

Ava imdiately called Jace.

"Ava."

After three rings, the call connected, and Jace’s gentle voice ca through. Hearing his voice, a smile naturally appeared on Ava’s face.

"Jace, are you done with your work?"

"Haha, not yet."

Ava blinked: "Then you haven’t had lunch yet?"

"Nope, but Ava, I’m afraid I can’t cook at ho this noon. I have a eting to attend, and it might run late."

"Oh, I see, no worries, you go ahead."

"Let know when you’re free, either tonight or tomorrow."

"I’m free this afternoon, evening, and tomorrow."

Jace paused slightly and said, "Free this afternoon and tomorrow? Aren’t you supposed to have classes?"

Ava had told Jace her class schedule yesterday, so he was very clear about her ti.

"Don’t ntion it. Talking about it just makes angry."

Lauren, hearing Ava’s words, saw her about to get angry again and hurriedly squeezed in front of Ava and said into the phone, "Young Master Kingsley, don’t ntion the class again, Ava’s hard-won peace because of you is about to burst again."

Lauren’s voice ca through, and Jace understood.

Today’s class didn’t go smoothly.

He smiled and said, "Ava, I’ll treat you to dinner tonight."

Ava was glaring at Lauren for her sudden interjection, the sound of laughter from the phone like a spring breeze extinguishing her temper. Ava sighed, "I’m fine."

"Actually, we agreed on today, but due to my problem, it might have to be tomorrow, so I must apologize, so I need to treat you to dinner."

This reason left Ava helpless and unable to refuse.

"If anyone should be treating soone to dinner, it’s treating you!"

"You even gave a little turtle."

She straightforwardly said, and Jace chuckled softly, "Okay."

Whether he treated her or she treated him, the outco was the sa, and he was pleased with it.

The two chatted for a while longer, set a ti, and hung up the phone.

Ava felt much better, put away her phone, and asked Lauren, "Where’s my little turtle?"

Lauren was right beside her and saw Ava’s deanor while talking to Jace. It could be said that Ava was quite different toward Jace.

Young Master Kingsley was worth it.

"I’ll get it for you now!"

Seeing Ava’s anger dissipate with just one call from Jace, Lauren was particularly satisfied and hurried to fetch the aquarium.

Ava took the aquarium, looked at the little turtle stretching its neck and staring at her, and her lips instantly curled up.

"This little guy, so silly, I like it, but I need to give you a na, what should it be?"

Ava gazed at the tiny eyes, the four little paws extended, feeling increasingly chard.

Lauren suggested, "How about calling it Little Dot?"

Ava paused, Little Dot?

Indeed, this na suits this silly little turtle perfectly.

So, Ava solemnly nodded, lifted the aquarium, and said to the turtle at eye level: "From today on, you have a na, you shall be called Little Dot, Little Dot, understand?"

Whether the little turtle understood or not was unknown, but seeing Ava’s face getting closer, it retreated and retracted its neck into its shell, making Ava like it even more.

"Alright, if anything cos up, call directly."

And with that, Ava left with her little turtle.

Lauren stood there, watching her leisurely exit, a smile filling her face.

A perfect match: one indulging unconditionally, the other being unrestrained unconditionally!

It was still early, so naturally, Ava went back to Green Hill Villa.

She and Jace had arranged the ti for five in the afternoon.

And she’d be back by six.

In the evening, she still had to water the plants, so she couldn’t be late.

She had calculated the timing well; there would be no problem.

The car started, heading straight for Green Hill Villa, and before it left the underground parking lot, Ava glanced at the spot where the director’s car was previously parked.

It was empty.

No one was there anymore.

Good, no more clinging.

Ava felt delightful as she pressed the gas pedal, the car roaring away.

Mrs. Wei didn’t expect Ava would return at noon, and without a call in advance from Ava, she hadn’t prepared lunch.

Hearing the car screech to a halt outside, Mrs. Wei paused, then hurriedly went downstairs.

"Ma’am?"

Ava turned off the engine, placed her car keys in her bag, and then ca out with it, cradling her aquarium.

"Little Dot, we’re ho~!"

Ava cheerfully spoke to the little turtle in the aquarium, and hearing Mrs. Wei, she said without lifting her head: "Is there any food at ho, Mrs. Wei?"

Mrs. Wei was about to ask Ava if she had eaten, as she would prepare it, but hearing Ava she quickly said, "I didn’t know you were coming back, I haven’t prepared lunch yet, but I’ll do it right away."

Ava simply said, "No worries, just cook a bowl of noodles."

Saying that, Ava ca over cradling her aquarium.

And Mrs. Wei noticed what she was holding, curious: "What do you have there, ma’am?"

Ava imdiately smiled: "A little turtle!"

She raised the aquarium to show her the small creature poking its head out to look around.

Mrs. Wei leaned in for a closer look, surprised: "Didn’t know ma’am likes turtles?"

Ava’s eyes smiled with arches: "I didn’t know I liked little turtles either, but once I saw this fellow, I instantly liked it, how about it, is it cute?"

Seeing her child-like expression, Mrs. Wei laughed: "Cute."

Tiny and looks well-behaved.

"Haha, I think it’s cute too. The more I look, the more I like it; I even want to pet it, but it’s too small to handle."

Hearing her lant, Mrs. Wei said, "You could keep a cat or dog, to play with as much as you like, ma’am."

Ava imdiately shook her head: "No, they have too short lifespans, they can’t accompany for life, but this turtle can!"

Ava said with her lips curling up, cheerfully, "I’m heading in first, Mrs. Wei, just call when you’re done."

"Alright, ma’am."

Watching her enter with her aquarium happily, Mrs. Wei smiled too.

Knowing Ava’s palate, it wasn’t long before Mrs. Wei prepared the noodles, and Ava praised Mrs. Wei’s cooking skill as exquisite, truly worthy of being the descendant of a royal chef, even a bowl of noodles was extraordinary.

And while eating, she rembered sothing, turtles must eat too, right?
