Ava Sterling returned to the hotel first, changed her dress, removed her makeup, and walked out feeling refreshed.
Nothing was left undone.
Everything was just like usual, doing what needed to be done.
It was just a passing thought; once it’s over, it’s over. She wasn’t going to let herself be caught up in it forever.
That wasn’t her, Ava Sterling!
Jace Kingsley parked his car across the street and stood outside the car door with his phone to his ear.
He saw soone co out from the hotel across the street, wearing long sleeves and pants, a simple and casual shirt and jeans. Even her ink-black hair was casually tied up in a bun, looking ordinary and extrely carefree.
Jace Kingsley’s lips curved slightly: "Let’s end it here for now."
He hung up the phone and watched her look left and right for traffic as she jogged towards him.
"Have you been waiting long? Sorry, I don’t like going out with makeup, so it took a bit of ti."
Ava Sterling is the most practical worker; once off work, she restores herself to the most comfortable state.
No makeup, no accessories, as simple as can be.
You could say that except for work, she doesn’t care about her image at all in her usual ti.

Jace Kingsley shook his head with a smile: "No, you look great just like this."
Ava Sterling raised an eyebrow, looking at the person in front of her whose eyes were full of laughter.
She realized a problem, many n complint her on her looks, and she would snort in disdain.
Yet when Jace Kingsley complints her on her looks, she found it very pleasing.
Could it be, she was what they call, a true mber of the Appearance Association?
"I think I look good too."
"Hehe, get in the car."
Both got in the car, Ava had been to Delphos City before. Usually, she has no hobbies other than binge-watching shows, traveling, and sleeping.
Whenever she has free ti or feels down, she would go out traveling.
Over the past ten years, she’s visited many places across the country.
She had been to a tourist city like Delphos City before.
So, she’s very aware of where to find good food.
Originally, she thought of taking Jace to eat at a food stand—after all, the truly delicious stuff is found at soulful street food spots.
But considering Jace had treated her to a big al, taking him to a street stall seed inappropriate, so she took him to a Chinese restaurant with local features.
This restaurant served local dishes, and the owner was a native of Delphos City, and a minority ethnic group mber too.
So the taste was quite unique.
Of course, primarily the restaurant’s decoration, service, and clientele were upper-class.
Bringing Jace here seed very fitting.
To avoid Jace paying, Ava directly paid for the al after placing the order at the front desk.
Jace didn’t argue with her, just smiled as he watched her skillfully talk with the owner.
"Just your ho-brewed liquor, one bottle, a little sip."
"Hehe, sure, wait a mont, we’ll bring it as soon as it’s ready."
"Alright!"
Ava Sterling found a random spot and sat down with Jace, saying as she sat, "Their homade wine here is incredible, I’ve tried it, and it tastes really good."
Then, rembering sothing, she imdiately asked: "Can you drink?"
Her eyes were bright and clear, looking at him as if they were mountain streams, extrely pure.
Jace Kingsley picked up a teapot on the table and poured so tea: "I can, but my tolerance isn’t great."
"Then you should drink less."
"Their wine here is quite strong, however, pairing it with their snacks is incredible."
"You’ll know once you try it later."
"Okay."
As she spoke, the tea was poured and placed in front of her.
Ava Sterling clicked her tongue appreciatively, picked up the teacup, took a sip, and didn’t hesitate to praise: "You’re really a nice person."
When she feels sothing is good, she says it outright, without holding back.
If she feels sothing bad, she’ll also say it, never wronging herself.
Jace Kingsley smiled: "If you say it’s good, then I’m relieved."
As they chatted, snacks were brought one after another.
Even though they were just snacks, they were presented on intricate tableware, very exquisite, beautiful, and upscale.
Ava Sterling told Jace how to eat them, and Jace followed her guidance.
However, he couldn’t really handle spicy food.
Coincidentally, Delphos City is famous for its spicy food, and seeing him getting hot-faced quickly, like he was drunk, made Ava laugh.
Nonetheless, she quickly asked the staff to bring so warm freshly-pressed juice.
Warm consumption doesn’t hurt the stomach, and pure natural juice can alleviate the heat.
Jace drank more than half a glass of juice, feeling slightly better.
Seeing his reddened eyes, Ava Sterling apologized: "Sorry, I wasn’t considerate. I assud you could eat spicy food and brought you here without asking."
She felt genuinely sorry, not expecting to spice out Jace like this.
Jace shook his head: "It’s fine, although it’s spicy, I think it tastes very good."
"I just can’t handle so much at once, but that doesn’t an I can’t eat it at all."
His face maintained a gentle smile, making Ava feel even guiltier.
"Let see if there’s anything else you can eat."
"Stay for a while."
Without waiting for a response, she got up and headed to the front desk.
Just at this ti, a group of people ca down from upstairs.
