The rain in the Royal Capital still hasn’t fallen.

Two more days passed just like that.

That night.

The weather remained hot, and even a slight breeze from the sea showed no sign of providing any relief.

In this kind of heat, the Mafia distillery in the South District finally produced its first batch of bootleg liquor.

Under Crenzo’s command, the entire batch was swiftly packed up.

Although there were still many novices at the distillery, fortunately, Palon had brought in quite a few experienced hands, and with Crenzo’s coordination, things proceeded smoothly.

Once the goods were packed, they began transportation imdiately, without any delay; the items had to be sent out from the Royal Capital tonight.

The cover of night was the best protection.

Even if the nights in the Royal Capital were never completely dark.

Although the scene was grand, Crenzo couldn’t help but feel a lack of enthusiasm.

Aaron, who had been silently watching on the side, handed him a cigarette and then lit one for himself, "Cheer up, this is a big deal, if done well, the higher-ups are sure to reward you."

"Not interested."

Crenzo snatched Aaron’s matches to light his own while shaking his head as he puffed.

"This was all planned by the higher-ups, it’s not my show, just following orders, it’s boring, unlike last ti which was fun."

The previous assassination event was almost solely handled by Crenzo himself, that was thrilling and fulfilling.

Aaron just shook his head at this, young people are just young, not understanding anything and needing to suffer so setbacks to appreciate that not everything in the world is so easy or can be done however one pleases.

But he didn’t say much more about it, realizing that so things one must experience for oneself to truly understand.

Though Crenzo said it wasn’t interesting, he still got down to work diligently when it ca to actually doing it.

At least, within the allotted ti, everything was already completed.

At ten o’clock at night, everything was ready.

After having a late-night al, Crenzo and Aaron were prepared to set off.

anwhile.

In the Port District.

At the Golden Coast Tavern.

Shark Jensen was drinking with his n, enjoying the air conditioning.

As one of Sea King Lockeby’s most capable aides, Shark Jensen naturally had sufficient wealth that buying a batch of the newest cooling units was no problem at all.

Even while drinking, he maintained absolute clarity.

Although tonight should theoretically not require his personal involvent; as long as he kept an eye on the crucial roads, the port should be fine, yet he wouldn’t relax.

Even though he had beco more arrogant over the years with his rise in status, he never forgot how he started out.

That was by being careful enough, and serious enough.

He understood how crucial this task was; it was not just about cutting off the opponent’s business interests, there were other motives as well.

Several big shots were watching closely.

If anything went wrong on his end, his good days would be over.

"Drink less, there’s still work later, don’t delay."

"Yes, boss, rest assured, we absolutely won’t ss it up."

His n were sharp, after all, they were nurtured by him personally.

After a satisfied glance around, he poured himself another drink.

Just then, one of his subordinates ca in from outside, walked up to him, and whispered a report.

The opposition was on the move, heading west.

That’s right.

They could only go west, coming to the East District would be suicide.

Not only was his side tightly guarded, but others were also lying in wait.

If the opposition did dare to take the risk of moving east before striking west, they would just be delivering liquor.

Though, at the risk of the liquor being snatched up by soone else first, he’d suffer a slight loss.

But the opposition likely wouldn’t be so foolish; they would only think of heading west to see if they could break through.

"Final drink, and then no more."

He raised his glass.

Compared to his leisure, two others were having a much tougher ti.

Hard-headed Mo Lun and Travis.

Both received the news.

They didn’t dare drink tonight, remaining alert, staying inside a hot and stuffy shed by the roadside.

This was the area next to the West District highway.

And the West District highway was the route the Southern District Mafia had to take tonight.

This was certain.

Because to cross the West District and reach the Bis Mountain Range, they could only go this way, other roads were blocked.

With the East District completely sealed off, they were almost being driven here.

"They should be arriving soon, have a drink."

With the ssage delivered, Travis pulled out a bottle of wheat beer from sowhere and said.

"Alright."

Mo Lun hesitated for a mont but nodded.

This might be a tough fight.

The opposition wasn’t foolish either.

In fact, this night ambush had almost beco an open battle.

They knew the goods had to pass through here.

And the other side, likewise, knew that taking the West District was a gamble.

Initially, Mo Lun didn’t think much of the Southern District Mafia at all.

He used to think that if it hadn’t been for Old Xi Wen holding them back, and not letting them out, the enigmatic crew led by Uttahan wouldn’t have gained their reputation.

If it were him, he definitely wouldn’t have done worse than them.

But after that typhoon night, he thought differently.

The entire Kingdom Defense Bureau squad disappeared, others were killed or maid.

The ally they sent was one of his rivals, also an adoptive son of Old Xi Wen, Daley.

This guy usually acted arrogantly and had fought with him endlessly to snatch this lucrative position, but that night he was the one who fled back hastily.

Returning with his mind unclear, it took him two days to recover.

This indicated the significant impact of that night on him.

According to Daley, on the surface, the Martinos Clan had only so many people; in reality, they secretly harbored many skilled individuals—clean, efficient, and imnsely powerful. Even Kingdom Defense Bureau personnel couldn’t stand up to them.

Well, tonight it was ti for those people to appear again.

Mo Lun brought all his elite troops this ti; he didn’t want to spare any strength because if he ssed up this mission again, it wasn’t as trivial as losing an ear.

He had to fight with everything he got.

The two downed their wheat beer.

Travis seed relatively relaxed, but it made sense; he wasn’t on the ropes yet and ca mainly to assist by utilizing his familiarity with the West District.

"Take it easy, buddy; honestly, it’s nothing. The other side may not even deploy all their troops, and rember, we’re not alone."

Travis joked, in reality trying to advise him not to push himself too hard.

True, Mo Lun vaguely knew others were participating tonight, so official elent, though he wasn’t sure which.

Could they be trusted?

While thinking about it, a gentle breeze blew in, still hot yet carrying a slight hint of moisture.
