Just as Ethan was pondering whether he should force his way out.

The door to the room was shaken by a loud knocking.

"Ain, are you in there?"

It was the voice of a mature woman.

The Princess, who had been in a daze, seed to wake up all at once, but her emotions remained steady, and she said to the outside, "I am, aunt, what’s the matter?"

"Is Ethan with you?"

The woman asked again.

Who could it be?

Ethan had no impression of this voice, but he realized that this person seed to be there to rescue him.

"He is, we’re discussing so matters related to art."

Ainebez got off the piano calmly and without the slightest trace of guilt, slowly putting her clothes back on, looked at Ethan, and mouthed silently to him.

Well, what do you say?

Ethan nodded.

"Open the door then."

Ainebez said this toward the outside.

Then, she quickly whispered a sorry to Ethan, her face even turned slightly red, as if she were embarrassed.

This left Ethan even more puzzled.

Embarrassed, what were you doing just now?

As the door opened, a noblewoman in a vintage dress strode in.

Though she was already middle-aged, the years hadn’t stripped away her beauty. She was very well-maintained, without a single wrinkle on her face, as if ti had given her nothing but mature charm, making it hard to tell her exact age.

She first scanned the room, then glanced at Ainebez, but finally fixed her gaze on Ethan.

Extrely aningful.

"Aunt, is there sothing you need?"

Ainebez asked.

"Not much, I just have so matters to discuss with Ethan about my daughter."

The noblewoman said indifferently, with a certain authority.

"Well, I won’t disturb you then, Ethan, you should go with aunt. We’ll chat next ti."

Ainebez made no effort to persuade him to stay.

Ethan, however, had this inexplicable feeling of stepping out of a tiger’s den only to enter a wolf’s lair.

Because he had no idea who this elegantly dressed noblewoman was, let alone her daughter.

Still, being able to leave here was a good thing.

So he gave a slight bow to Ainebez and followed the noblewoman out.

And it wasn’t until Ethan and the noblewoman were far away that Ainebez’s face turned completely red, burning hot, with even her neck flushed.

She couldn’t help but hold her face in her hands, murmuring to herself, "So strange, so strange, why couldn’t I resist this ti, he... he slls so nice."

As they walked on the path out of the palace, Ethan tried several tis to strike up a conversation, but the noblewoman had an air of aloofness that pushed people away.

It wasn’t until they had completely exited that she finally said, "Have your driver follow along, get in my car, I have sothing to say to you."

"But..." Ethan had to interrupt.

"My daughter is Sofia."

Upon hearing this, Ethan dared not speak further.

He never would have guessed that this noblewoman was Sofia’s extrely enigmatic mother.

No wonder, it all made sense.

No wonder she could gift Sofia such a lavish manor at the heart.

And why Ned would turn gloomy the mont Sofia ntioned her.

What did Ainebez just call her?

Aunt?

So she’s the current King’s sister?

It seed that Ned was quite the character in his youth as well.

Ethan had no choice but to inform Anya about following in the car and then got into the noblewoman’s car.

"You can call Lady Sosde."

After getting in the car, the noblewoman said her first sentence.

"Yes, madam."

Even though Ethan hadn’t actually done anything to Sofia, he sohow felt a bit guilty, without knowing why.

"Did I ruin your fun?"

She then added another comnt.

If Ethan had been drinking sothing, he surely would have spit it out.

"No, absolutely not, you ca just in ti, saving , I have to thank you."

Ethan quickly shook his head.

"No one shall speak of tonight’s events to anyone."

Lady Sosde stated solemnly.

"Understood."

Ethan also knew such things couldn’t casually be spoken of; there weren’t any rumors about the Princess regarding this, indicating their confidentiality was strong.

It was just hard to imagine...

"She’s not the kind of person you think she is, but the reasons involved, you don’t need to know, just keep quiet."

Lady Sosde emphasized once again.

Ethan could only nod.

"Now, let’s talk about Sofia, what exactly are your intentions?"

Lady Sosde was very direct.

"Intentions?"

"If you don’t plan to marry her, stay away from her."

"We’re just friends..." Ethan really felt his statent was too...

"Ha." Lady Sosde chuckled coldly, looking out the window.

"I’m giving you two choices right now: One, kill that little girl following you, and be with my daughter properly; two, leave my daughter."

Ethan was feeling a bit awkward and ashad, but upon hearing this, his expression imdiately turned serious.

"No, don’t harbor any ideas about Anya, as for Sofia, I’ll handle that."

"Young man, I know what you’re thinking. I’m a mother, I love my daughter, so I can do a lot of things. Before things get worse, I’m giving you a choice. You’re a smart person, don’t do anything foolish. Get out."

When the word "get out" was uttered, the car imdiately ca to a halt.

Ethan was left on the road, watching that luxurious Klaus vintage Knight disappear into the night.

Ethan suddenly felt a strong desire to smoke.

"Young master, what’s wrong?"

Anya stopped the car, looking at Ethan’s face, sensing his fatigue.

"Nothing, just a bit tired, want to take a shower, craving seafood back in Wenster."

"Then we’ll go back."

Anya agreed without hesitation.

"Yeah, we’ll go back in a while."

That night, so slept peacefully, while others were sleepless.

The sleepless one, naturally, was Tefula.

After all, it’s not easy to find enough blood sacrifices to nourish that fearso mummy.

Fortunately, in this ghostly South District, what’s most abundant are those penniless, illicit immigrants.

Even if these people died in great numbers, no one would care; the Royal City Hall would even be pleased for them to die in large numbers, as it would prevent the Royal Capital from becoming more crowded and chaotic.

At least, that’s how Tefula saw it.

At this mont, Kaster had already fed enough on blood sacrifices; its shriveled, decayed body had regained its complete form, its skin had turned alabaster, and its muscles had beco elastic and vibrant.

Most importantly, its facial features were handso, beautiful, unlike any normal human, exceedingly otherworldly.

It was touching its face, as if admiring its own appearance.

"What, are you afraid of ?"

It looked at Tefula beside it.

Tefula rely showed a pale smile and shook his head.

"Ignorant mortals, how could they possibly understand the marvel and grandeur of immortality!"
