Sima You Yue was on Halcyon’s shoulder and looked on as the black fog ca closer. No matter how quickly they ran, that black fog was able to catch up.
“Crap.” Halcyon placed Sima You Yue and Sima You Lin down and the two of them were stunned for a mont. Why was there black fog in front of them as well?!
“This black fog has a dark aura, try using your fire arts!” Halcyon spoke as he turned around and attacked the black fog that had been chasing them with fire.

“But Halcyon’s rank is higher than ours. His flas will be stronger than ours. That’s why the result is this way.” Sima You Lin said.
“The fla temperatures are higher?” Sima You Yue thought for a mont. She pulled out her inner golden flas and threw it at the opposite side.
“Whoosh” Every single black fog was imdiately burnt to ashes. It scared both of them silly.
“That’s it?” Sima You Yue saw that the path in front of them was empty and was unable to react for a mont.
“Looks a bit out of place.” Sima You Lin turned to Sima You Yue in shock. What kind of fla did she toss out just now? He actually felt its terrifying temperature as well.
“Keep watch, I’m going to help Halcyon.” Sima You Yue saw how useful Crimson Fla’s fire was, and turned around to run towards Halcyon. She called out a fireball and threw it at the black fog opposite him.
“Whoosh-”
The sa gush of air was heard, and every single black fog disappeared into nothing.
“Finally exterminated.” Sima You Yue let loose a long breath, then turned to Halcyon, asking, “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine.” Halcyon shook his head, then scanned the surroundings, saying, “We have to pick a direction.”
“Just choose any. See whether it leads us out.” Sima You Yue said.
The three of them started their journey again. This ti, the three of them walked side by side.
“You Yue, what kind of fla was that?” Sima You Lin asked.
“The life fla of my contracted beast.” Sima You Yue replied, “If I’d known earlier about its used, I’d have used it from the start. Halcyon, did you encounter this kind of black fog when you ca the last ti?”
Halcyon shook his head, saying, “The previous ti I ca, I encountered sothing else. They’re definitely not fixed chanisms. However, it was not any simpler than the one just now.”
“Those clumps of black fog carried with them a dark aura. I’m guessing that the creature that has been confined here is of the dark nature as well.” Sima You Lin said.
“No matter what, I hope we don’t bump into it.” Sima You Yue said.
“You have its fla, so if we encounter those kind of attacks, it shouldn’t be too big of an issue. I’m just afraid of encountering others.” Halcyon said.
They wandered around the passage for around half an hour before they found a few forked roads. They counted on their intuition to choose a direction every ti. They really did not where they had wandered to now.
“There’s the sound of water up ahead.” Halcyon said.
“Who knows, we may be able to get out!” Sima You Yue cried out happily.
They walked towards the sound of water, and quickly saw a dark stream of water.
“It’s a dark river. I wonder whether or not it’s linked to the outside.” Sima You Yue said.
“Look at the riverside.” Sima You Lin said while pointing to shore.
They did not rashly walk over because they saw the things on shore- a few skeletons.
“Who were these people?” Sima You Yue asked.
“Maybe it’s people like us who mistakenly ended up here.” Sima You Lin said.
“Their heads are faced in our direction. It ans that they were running away from the dark river. Looks like this river isn’t safe.” Sima You Yue said.
“Grunt, grunt…”
Bubbling sounds were suddenly heard, as if the water was starting to boil.
“Escape!” Halcyon was a sacred beast, so he was more sensitive to danger. When he heard the grunting sounds begin, he felt a dangerous aura.
Sima You Yue turned around to escape quickly. While she was running, she turned around to take a look and realised the dark river had begun to pour out little droplets of water, as if the river was gradually chasing after them.
“Damn it, is this really water?” She was stunned by what she just saw, and could not help but cuss.
“The river is black, so it’s definitely not river water at all!” Halcyon said, “It’s overflowing with dark aura.”
The three of them ran forward as quick as they could. They had a kind of feeling that, if the water was to catch up to them, they would be finished.
“Roar-”
A roar suddenly ca from the four directions, forcing the three of them to stop.
“What kind of creature is this? It feels like its roar is piercing into my soul!” Sima You Lin covered his ears while grimacing in pain.
“Escape quickly.” Halcyon was the first to recover, as he hugged Sima You Yue and Sima You Lin, who were still dazed, and continued to run.
They dodged left and right, wanting to rid themselves of that weird river water. However, that river water would not retreat when it encountered a wall. Instead, it was like it grew a pair of legs as it followed the wall and flipped over.
“Damn it, is it really water?” Sima You Lin could not help but cuss out this ti. He had never seen sothing so weird before!
It was as if Sima You Yue was paralysed ever since she heard that roar. She could feel that sothing in her body was beginning to grow restless, as if it wanted to burst out of her body.
“Why is it so familiar?”
“What is this? Why does it make so agitated?”
“No wonder Halcyon said that he could feel a similar type of aura.”
“What is it, why does it want to rush out?”
She felt a wave of discomfort as her spiritual power in her body slowly drew into her dantian. After that, a wave of dark aura flooded out of her body, pushing away Halcyon, who was holding on to her, and Sima You Lin.
“Ugh!” Sima You Yue clutched her chest and knelt on the ground. She looked extrely weak.
“You Yue?” Halcyon and Sima You Lin looked at her in shock. What was wrong with her?
“Gush, gush…” The dark river water was about to gain on them, and flew down from the wall.
“Get the hell back to where you ca from!” Sima You Yue suddenly ordered.
That river water slowed down, then actually turned back around and went back.
