"I knew it was going to take you forever to call , so I decided to call," Paula said, her tone holding a slight sense of disappointnt.
Jayden only shrugged. "The last ti I checked, I was the one who gave you my number. You should have been the one calling," he replied, still polite and calm.
"All right, then. That’s aside. Are you going to be alone today? How about we et?" she said in a vitally demanding tone, making Jayden’s eyes light up.
With a quick thought, he knew this was a great chance.
"Uh... Actually, I’m quite busy today. How about so other ti? I an four or five days from now?" Jayden asked.
"Not bad. Just wanted to et up with you. Since you’ve now decided to always sit sowhere far from in class and leave without saying hi," Paula said, though with a tone that held no resentnt.
Jayden also understood her... All this while, he had always attended lectures with only one aim in mind:

His mind had definitely gone far from Paula, and he clearly hadn’t gotten much greenlight from her.
However, now, he guessed that was changing.
