The sky was still dark, with only hints of dawn peeking over the horizon. Seojun lay stretched out on the thick branch of a tree, one arm tucked behind his head and the other resting across his chest. His eyes were closed, and his breathing was steady, enjoying the peace of the early morning.
Suddenly, a heavy gust of wind swept through the area, followed by the sound of footsteps. A towering figure erged from the shadows—Kang Daewon, gripping his massive double-headed hamr. His eyes locked onto Seojun's resting form.
A grin spread across Daewon's face. "Found you,"
Without hesitation, he swung the massive hamr with brutal force. The air crackled from the sheer power, and the hamr crashed into the tree with a thunderous roar.
BOOM!
The entire tree exploded into splinters, wood shards flying in every direction. Leaves scattered, and dust filled the air, creating a thick cloud around the area. Daewon landed smoothly on the ground, standing tall amidst the chaos, his hamr resting on his shoulder.
Through the swirling dust, a figure appeared—unhard and perfectly fine. Seojun stood a few feet away, stretching his arms and yawning, completely unbothered by the destruction. He glanced down at his wristwatch, blinking at the ti.
"Isn't it a bit too early for this?" Seojun mumbled, rubbing his eyes as if just waking up from a nap.
Daewon grinned wider, slamming the base of his hamr into the ground. "I thought an S-rank didn't need much sleep," he teased, eyes gleaming with excitent.
Seojun shrugged, cracking his neck lazily. "I still prefer my beauty sleep," he replied.
Daewon chuckled, tightening his grip on his weapon. "Good. Then I won't feel bad for waking you up," he said, lifting his hamr back into position.
Seojun sighed, brushing so dust off his shoulders. "Fine. If you want to play, let's get this over with. I need a morning exerise anyway"
Daewon's grin turned wild. "That's the spirit!"
Daewon spun his massive double-headed hamr with ease, the weight of it cracking the ground beneath his feet. He grinned widely, eyes locked onto Seojun, who casually pulled out a crimson dagger from his inventory.
Daewon raised an eyebrow, then let out a booming laugh. "A dagger? Aren't you underestimating a bit too much, Han Seojun?"
Seojun twirled the blade effortlessly, its edge gleaming under the early morning light. "Don't worry," he replied, a small grin tugging at his lips. "This dagger can match your massive hamr just fine."
Daewon scoffed, slamming his hamr into the ground, sending a ripple of cracks spiderwebbing outward. "Then, let push you to use your real weapon. Co on, Han Seojun! Bring it out!"
Seojun's grin only grew wider. He leaned back, adjusting his grip on the dagger. "Oh, I don't think you can handle it," he said calmly, spinning the dagger once more.
Daewon's eyes flared with excitent, his muscles tensing. "We'll never know unless you take it out!"
Without another word, Daewon launched forward, his feet slamming into the ground and cracking it further. Dust and debris flew up from the force as he closed the distance between them in a flash, his hamr raised high above his head.
Seojun watched him co, completely relaxed. Just before Daewon's hamr could co crashing down, Seojun muttered quietly, "Match to his level."
[Matching host to the target's level… Done! Good luck, Host!]
A surge of energy flowed through Seojun's veins, his body feeling lighter and sharper. He rolled his shoulders casually, eting Daewon's charging figure head-on.
BOOM!
Daewon's hamr ca crashing down, splitting the ground where Seojun had been standing. But Seojun had already moved, gliding to the side with smooth precision. His dagger flashed out, cutting cleanly through the air, aid straight for Daewon's exposed flank.
Daewon twisted his body just in ti, the blade grazing his armor with a tallic hiss. His eyes lit up with excitent. "Not bad!"
Seojun chuckled. "I was just testing the water."
Daewon grinned even wider, slamming his hamr into the earth again and sending chunks of rock flying. "Then test harder!"
Their weapons clashed, the massive hamr eting the small but deadly dagger. Sparks flew, and the ground trembled under the weight of their strikes. Seojun's movents were fluid and sharp, weaving in and out of Daewon's wild swings with precise cuts, while Daewon's raw strength shook the very ground they fought on.
Both exchanged blows, neither backing down, each testing the other's limits.
Daewon laughed through the chaos, his eyes wild. "This is more like it! Co on, Seojun! Show what you really got!"
Seojun smirked, twirling the dagger effortlessly. "I hope you don't regret it."
"You're fast!" Daewon shouted, spinning the hamr in his hands before slamming it down again. The ground cracked and exploded, rocks shooting into the air.
Seojun didn't respond. His body blurred, appearing on Daewon's left in a flash. His dagger sliced through the air with pinpoint accuracy, aiming for the gaps in Daewon's armor. Daewon reacted quickly, raising the handle of his hamr to block the strike with a loud clang.
Seojun didn't stop. He twisted his body mid-air, his feet barely touching the ground as he used the montum to spin around Daewon. His dagger flashed again, this ti cutting a thin line across Daewon's armored shoulder.
Daewon grinned, not even flinching. He planted his feet firmly, spinning his hamr above his head like a whirlwind. Dust and rocks kicked up around him, creating a small storm.
Seojun leaped back, landing softly on a tree branch. He watched Daewon's movents with a calm expression. "You know, for soone with a big weapon, you move pretty fast," he said casually.
Daewon laughed. "And for soone with a toothpick, you sure dance around a lot!"
Seojun grinned. "Toothpick? Let's see how you handle this."
He disappeared from the branch in a blur, reappearing right in front of Daewon. His dagger glead as he slashed down, the blade cutting through the air with a sharp hiss. Daewon reacted just in ti, raising his hamr to block, but the force of Seojun's strike pushed him back a few steps, the ground cracking beneath his feet.
Daewon's eyes lit up with excitent. He swung his hamr sideways, forcing Seojun to flip backward gracefully, landing softly with barely a sound. Without waiting, Seojun dashed forward again, his dagger cutting through the air in rapid strikes—left, right, upward, downward—each one aiming for weak spots in Daewon's armor.
Daewon blocked each attack with impressive skill, spinning his hamr with one hand and using the other to deflect hits. Their movents were like a dance—power eting precision, brute strength clashing against sharp skill.
Daewon then slamd his hamr into the ground, sending out a shockwave that cracked the earth beneath them. Seojun jumped, flipping gracefully over Daewon's head and landing behind him. He didn't hesitate—his dagger flashed out, slicing at Daewon's exposed back.
Daewon twisted just in ti, blocking with the handle of his hamr. "You're faster than I thought," he admitted with a grin. "But I'm not even ward up yet."
Seojun smirked, twirling his dagger. "Good. I'm just getting started."
The two stared at each other, the air crackling with energy.
