Chapter 84: Kill, Harvest, Night

The black-robed young man looked a little surprised by Zhou Chen’s sudden appearance, but the pale middle-aged man in front of him and the two ard skeletons did not show any hesitation and directly attacked.
The two ard skeletons charged to the front and attacked Zhou Chen with a sword and hamr. The pale middle-aged man took two steps back and began to chant softly.

Zhou Chen imdiately used all his strength and stabbed the bone wall repeatedly with his spear, quickly cracking it. Then, he kicked it hard, shattering it like a tile.
After dismantling the bone wall, he sensed the two headless skeletons stand up again.
However, Zhou Chen ignored them and stabbed the spear at the pale middle-aged man who was still chanting.
This ti, the pale middle-aged man had to stop chanting. He raised his hands and blocked the spear.
Zhou Chen felt a huge resistance from the spear shaft. He realized that this seemingly sickly person was quite strong. He imdiately increased his strength, making the spear quickly slide past the man’s palm and stab into his neck.

The black-robed young man finished chanting a spell. A few bone spears appeared out of thin air and shot at Zhou Chen. Zhou Chen used the middle-aged man on the spear as a shield to block these bone spears. Then, he threw the middle-aged man behind him toward the two headless skeletons.
There were no longer any obstacles between Zhou Chen and the black-robed young man. He charged over like lightning and pierced through the black-robed young man’s neck.
After the black-robed youth died, Zhou Chen imdiately turned around to finish the remaining few. However, he realized that the two skeletons and the middle-aged man were motionless, as if they had dropped dead.
“Are these three the summoned creatures of this guy?”
Zhou Chen guessed.
Zhou Chen poked with the spear and confird that the few enemies in the grave had no breath left. Then, he began to check the things here, hoping to gain sothing.
He first checked the black-robed youth’s body and found a short bone staff in his hand. Beside his feet was a torn scroll and a potion bottle in his pocket.
The bone staff, scroll, and potion bottle were marked. One was an Unholy Staff that could increase the effect of necromancy spells, the other was a curse scroll that was now damaged, and the last was a mana potion that could replenish magic power.
After throwing the bone staff and potion into his inventory, Zhou Chen checked the pale middle-aged man’s body. After finding nothing, he cast his gaze to the other places in the grave.
The space in the grave was not small. Apart from a few empty stone coffins, there was a bed, a desk, and a cabinet.
After searching the innermost cabinet, Zhou Chen found dry bread, potatoes, unknown materials, clothes, and a book in several drawers.
This book was also marked by the system as ‘Necromancer’s Notes’.

“One of us will sleep till midnight while the other keeps watch, and we will rotate at midnight.”

The tall girl agreed to Zhou Chen’s arrangents and suggested that she sleep during the first half of the night and keep watch during the latter half.
“Sure.”
Zhou Chen imdiately agreed. He was in a good state now, so it was not a problem for him to continue staying up through the night. However, in order to recover to his peak condition, he planned to rest for the night..
