Li Ling glanced over towards the entrance of the cave and knew that Majin Three was still there with the items of the Fire Heart Sect, including the precious one said to be worth even risking annihilation from the Six Paths Demon Sect.
However, he did not call the fellow out, but rather checked his remaining Slaughter Points, seeing that he had 3590 left. Glancing through his list, he felt he could afford one more upgrade for the Yin-Yang Reversal Art, and so paid 1000 Slaughter Points to increase it to the Expert level.
Li Ling smiled and was put under a day-long reclusive state that saw him shift forms back and forth, but far less frequently than before and far more stably. This ti, not only did his physicality shift, but his aura as well, spreading around him to show either fiery heat or icy coolness that affected a small area around him.
Post completion, he sighed deeply and opened his eyes, feeling as if he was reborn once more. This Yin-Yang Reversal Art was less like a daoist art and more like an immortal art, because the abilities and theories it contained were simply in contravention to the common sense of Firmant Heaven.
To cut straight to the chase, the four main abilities of the Yin-Yang Reversal Art had seen another leap in effectiveness, gaining whole new sub-abilities.
For the internal gender switch, he could now separate his two genders in terms of cultivation progress. So his normal male state could reach Nascent Soul with his qi cultivation practice while his female self could still be at Core Formation or lower. On top of that, each gender could practice their own unique technique rather than have to switch one technique from yin to yang all the ti.
For the external gender switch, he could now switch the gender of non-humans, so demon beasts or spirit beasts and animals were no longer safe from his clutches. If he wanted to breed a special strain of a beast that was endangered or had only one left, he could now switch it, if it was male, to female, allowing for propagation to continue.
In regard to the pheromones, there was now a rather insidious ability to cast it on two people, making both of them who may not even like each other beco like mad rabbits that mated crazily. If Li Ling was willing to set up a stall, he could beco a love doctor.
And finally, with regard to the sensation enhancer, there was now a sensation canceler. In other words, whether Li Ling himself wanted to feel nothing but for his partner to feel everything, he could now do this, though Li Ling was not sure why he would ever want to do that.
The current cost to increase the Yin-Yang Reversal Art had beco a little too steep at 1500 Slaughter Points, so he held back from rushing to Perfection.
Looking at the rest of his skills, there were a few more that still needed investnt, so with a mild look of interest, he continued on, passing over the perfected teor Spell to the Soul Piercing Seal. This one went without saying, its utility was extrely valuable to him, as he wouldn’t have been able to easily control Luo Roui and the three Majin brothers.
Against Cai Dong back then, he could only use the Qi Sealing Technique, which was why he had to keep her in close proximity all the ti and eventually had to let her go because she was a burden. With the Soul Piercing Seal, this no longer beca a problem, so Li Ling had even increased it to the Expert grade previously to enhance its effectiveness.
Now what would perfecting it bring?
Li Ling paid 30 Slaughter Points to send it to the Master level, then 35 to finally perfect it. As it was a normal upgrade, it only took him re seconds to go through it and he found that the Perfection stage actually yielded so good changes, like the strength of the seal and the ability to subjugate more people at once.
Li Ling’s previous limit had been five people, which was why he chose to number them and did not wantonly enslave everyone. Now, he could subjugate ten people, which was enough to form a small elite unit of enforcers for himself, which could accomplish many things.
Seeing that it could also be limit broken, Li Ling smiled and initiated the upgrade, feeling his mind beco overwheld with a flood of information that lasted a whole day and a half like the Heavenly Network.
When he ca out of it, there was an M symbol on Li Ling’s own forehead, but unlike the others who could be controlled by it, this M was the Dao Manifestation of his new technique. It could be changed at will, but Li Ling decided to hold off for now until he found a proper na for his prospective force.
But this new technique...
This was definitely another Immortal Art, Li Ling thought grimly, because what it could do completely defied common sense. Anyone enslaved by Li Ling would perfectly retain their consciousness, mories, goals, and wishes, just that everything would align with what Li Ling wanted.
It was deeper than just brainwashing, because brainwashing could be broken. This technique affected both the soul and spirit, not just the body, so even if you ford your Nascent Soul or entered the higher levels, it would still be effective. It also could not be removed by spiritual thods that cleansed curses or negative states, because it was not actually a negative state.
In other words, unless you had a special top-level thod or treasure to block this from latching on, then once trapped, the enslavent was basically permanent. Even if the person died and beca a ghost cultivator in the underworld, they would still be loyal to Li Ling.

Li Ling decided to na this thod the Dao Soldier Technique, and its cost was as high as that of the Heavenly Network, requiring an investnt of 5000 Slaughter Points to go from Entry to Advanced.
Checking the ti, about a quarter over 5 days had passed, aning he had ti to limit break only one more technique before having to rush to the Fire Heart Sect location and flatten them to complete his dispatch.
Seeing as there were only two daoist arts left on the list, which were the mory Plunder thod, which had been untouched and unused since being acquired, and the Blessed Augury which was unable to be limit broken as it had reached Perfection, Li Ling naturally chose to invest in the mory Plunder thod.
He was curious, what new bizarre immortal art would this one beco?
The mory Plunder thod cost a total of 100 Slaughter Points to go from Entry to Perfection, and its upgrades were worthwhile. The quality of the mories was upgraded, the searchability and specific nature of mories needed were more precise, the damage to the target was greatly reduced and in so cases, they would only co off with a mild headache, and finally, the art’s penetrative effect was stronger.
Even as it was, it was entirely perfect and did not really need an upgrade. However, seeing the option to limit break it, who was Li Ling to turn down the offer of free empowernt?
Limit break!
Still seated on the Mountain Splitting Blade and protected by the dull Majin Two, Li Ling entered his final seclusion for a day, in which he finally upgraded his last daoist art to sothing unique. Upon opening his eyes, he first hid the M symbol on his forehead and called over Majin Two.
Majin Two ca over and felt Li Ling place a hand on his head. Before he could react, Li Ling used the new art to completely extract his mories and then crushed the head of Majin Two, finally ending the fellow’s misery after having slaughtered his own family and friends.

Li Ling took his hand away and released a little fla, burning the corpse into ash casually before grinning.
The new technique was sothing fierce, which no longer just browsed mories and took the ones he needed from a pile of chaff, but rather directly extracted everything and allowed the user to handle it as they pleased, with no backlash.
Like the Blessed Augury and the Heavenly Network, this technique required the presence of a Purple Mansion, and in one of the larger rooms of the Purple Mansion that had previously been empty, a huge library had ford with rows and rows of bookshelves.
Li Ling’s spiritual body walked into this room and went to the first bookshelf closest to the entrance. There, his spiritual body placed a rather thin book on the shelf, which constituted the entirety of Majin Two’s mories.
Looking at the vast chamber with space for thousands more of these kinds of books, Li Ling couldn’t help but laugh. Soon, his Purple Mansion would beco a library of the human way, containing the lives and mories of countless beings across the continent for him to peruse as he wished, without it ever affecting his own sense of self.
To that extent, Li Ling nad the new thod mory Archive Extraction.
Among all the upgraded arts, it had the second lowest initial cost at 250 Slaughter Points, but that was likely because upgrading it would only increase the space in this library for Li Ling to store more mories. As he had so much space already, he did not see the need to waste any more Slaughter Points, especially with his second realm Asura Blood Descent coming soon.

As for the non-daoist arts, Li Ling did not have the mind to upgrade them right now. Not only was his ti limited to less than a day, about 16 hours in total to finish his dispatch, but even if they were limit broken and yielded aweso new things, he already had a lot of aweso new things right now.
He needed ti to digest these new unique immortal arts and add them to his subconscious repertoire, utilizing them in the best situations effortlessly. Li Ling was determined not to fall into the trap of having multiple aweso abilities but forgetting about them on the daily.
Anyway, it was finally ti to deal with Majin Three and the so-called special treasure that he had hidden away. So Li Ling made a hand sign, which seed to be a feature of special arts, of the Big Dipper Seal, interlocking his fingers over the other and channeling his spiritual power.
Spiritual power was not the sa as Magic Power, or spiritual qi from qi cultivation, nor was it from body refinent. This was a separate and typically unseen, uncontrollable energy in one’s spiritual space that becos accessible after Nascent Soul, which was why Li Ling needed to use special hand signs to achieve this.
Sa with the Blessed Augury Technique which required the Heaven-Earth-Man hand seal to be activated, as it also used spiritual power and was even the factor in the creation of his Purple Mansion before reaching the proper realm.
The M symbol in Li Ling’s forehead reappeared, connecting with his weaker slave seals placed in the Sea of Consciousness of Majin One and Majin Two, even Luo Roui as well. Unfortunately, he could only interact with the slave seals within the range of his spirit sense, so he could only passively sense that Luo Roui was troubled and pensive, while Majin One was confused and restless, feeling the urge to resist.
When they felt Li Ling’s presence from afar, their minds shook with thunder, as if being a tiny ant witnessing a celestial deity hovering over them.
