The strange man smiled and walked over to the vase.

He carefully lifted it and handed it over to Ryuen.

Despite how small the vase was, it was much heavier than it appeared.

It felt like an anvil.

But he managed to lift it without too much trouble.

"Good luck, Ryuen," the man said with a knowing smile before leaving the sa way he ca.

Ryuen’s gaze moved to the jar in his hand. He watched it glow with a blue light before vanishing.

Then the screen popped up again:

[You have retrieved the Blue Coffee Beans Relic]

[You can alter any outcos, both past and present, as well as reverse them.]

The shop then beca quiet.

For a mont, Ryuen felt tempted to use the beans to change everything that had happened to him.

But he forced himself to stay in control. It might be the last jar, and he had to use it carefully.

He stood there for a while until the waiter arrived with his coffee and a small cup of milk.

Ryuen took the cup, mumbled a thank you, and downed its contents without hesitation.

"Can you make a huge delivery of this to my place?"

The waiter raised an eyebrow in confusion, trying to process Ryuen’s request.

No one stepped into the shop—not even for sightseeing—unless they were searching for a relic, specifically the blue beans.

Ryuen exhaled, dipping his hand into his pocket. "I want these beans delivered to my house, and crear if possible. Can that be done?"

The waiter gave a frantic nod, finally realizing Ryuen was serious.

Deep down, the waiter felt relieved—he had finally gotten a custor after months of running a nearly abandoned café.

He quietly picked up his notebook, waiting for Ryuen to provide an address.

Ryuen only wrote down Kaori’s na, her description, and where to find her.

Then he patted the waiter’s head and smiled. "You’ll get more custors, trust ."

It was his way of saying thank you because it had been months since he had enjoyed a decent cup of coffee.

Now, he had to hurry back to the hospital to take his dications.

With one last smile, he turned and left the shop, one thought on his mind.

Alter his age and start a workout routine.

He could feel his cheeks softening, and heavens knew what Kaori would do if she noticed.

Her fingers—poking, pinching.

The teasing sounds she’d make, treating him like a baby.

Just the thought of it made him feel worse than when she had casually shared what she liked about the masked crusader.

---

It was midnight—two hours past midnight, to be precise.

Five blocks from the hospital where Ryuen had unknowingly stayed for three days, he, Daiki, and Kaori stood in front of an apartnt fifty floors up.

They were surrounded by boxes of the coffee beans he had ordered.

He had ordered a lot and was quite proud of himself for it.

However, Kaori had paid for the order, which officially made him her debtor—and he hated that.

Still, they stood in front of Kaori’s apartnt, waiting for her roommate, who happened to be asleep inside.

"Did you tell her you were coming ho today?"

Daiki asked as he placed the boxes on the porch before sitting on the swing chair.

Kaori nodded, then turned to Ryuen. "How are you holding up?"

"I’d be fine if you didn’t give tablets that knock out in a few minutes," he replied casually, his tone soft.

"My whole body feels terrible."

"That’s just the side effects," Kaori said.

Ryuen scoffed.

"This is why I stay away from artificial dicine," he muttered, dropping his boxes as well.

"Why does a drug that’s supposed to help make feel worse?

"I’m having malaria, and you give a drug that gives fever, makes weak—or worse, nauseous.

"It’s supposed to heal , not make suffer more."

Daiki chuckled softly and leaned back in the chair, silently agreeing with Ryuen one hundred percent.

He wasn’t wrong, but Daiki didn’t dare say anything since he also worked at the hospital with Kaori.

Kaori shook her head, unable to stand Ryuen’s complaints any longer.

She dropped her gaze to her phone, which displayed her roommate’s contact.

The phone rang continuously.

"How deeply asleep must she be..."

She trailed off the second the sound of footsteps reached her ears. She bent low to lift Ryuen’s box, seeing as he wasn’t ready to do it.

Then the door to her apartnt clicked open.

A figure, covered in a hoodie with glasses on, mumbled.

"Good evening" before turning around, completely unaware of the other visitors.

Ryuen, on the other hand, couldn’t care less.

He strode into the apartnt with his hand in his pocket, heading straight for the kitchen.

Daiki helped Kaori with the boxes and carried them to the empty room in the house—Ryuen’s room.

Once everyone had settled, Ryuen sat alone in the kitchen, chopsticks in his hand, his gaze fixed on the stitches in his arm.

He was healing fast, all thanks to his Vital Restoration skill.

Which was still at an early level and slow with the healing.

He didn’t have the strength at the mont to upgrade.

He finished the last of his food, washed his hands, and the dishes before lying on the sofa, facing the ceiling.

Two of the system screens floated above him—one showing his stats, and the other showing his inventory.

It turned out he hadn’t gained any skills from the beasts he had killed in the dungeon, as they were skill-less.

The only thing he managed to obtain was five daggers, each with its own special features.

The damage each one caused, as stated, was quite decent.

He could also imbue magic energy into them, which was a bonus.

But then his gaze landed on the vase.

"Can I alter the age regression?" he asked himself, and another screen appeared with a reply.

[Affirmative]

He smiled faintly. "Any consequences?"

[Affirmative]

[Health points and mana pool will be reduced.]

"Doesn’t seem bad, anything else?"

[Negative]

"Hm?"

He humd and shifted his gaze to his stats.

His brows furrowed as he read the details.

He clenched his fists and exhaled. "My points are already low."

"Let’s see," he paused and closed his eyes. "What can I do to gain points?"

[Completing Daily Tasks]

Another screen popped up.

[Daily Tasks Available]
