C7 – A Bodyguard
Zhao Su felt a wave of elation and readily agreed to the request. Xiao Wenmiao knelt on the ground, her hands respectfully presenting the docunts to Zhao Su. From his elevated position, he had a clear view of her—this was the level of service expected by the elite Golden Dragon Card mbers, and he thoroughly enjoyed it.
His distant cousin’s aunt was pale with regret. If she had only introduced her daughter to Zhao Su, she could have been rolling in money! She attempted to smile and said, “Su, I’ve actually always been quite fond of you.”
After Zhao Su finished signing the docunts, he helped his mother, Mrs. Zhao, to her feet. He turned to his cousin’s aunt and said, “I’ve wanted to tell you from the beginning that I’m quite wealthy, but you never gave the chance. From now on, let’s not cross paths again.” He then left the private room, just as a group approached.
At the forefront was a delightful young girl who, upon seeing Zhao Su exit, joyfully called out, “Brother, I have sothing to tell you.”
Xiao Wenmiao interjected, “Mr. Zhao, if you’re preoccupied, I’ll excuse myself. If you need any help, please don’t hesitate to call .” She smiled politely at the young girl and then turned to leave.
It was then that Zhao Su recognized the girl as Luo Yuyan, the one he had saved earlier. Surprised, he asked, “Do you need sothing from ?”
Luo Yuyan’s cheeks tinged with pink as she softly said, “Actually, I ca here today to see if you’d be interested in being my personal bodyguard.”
Zhao Su paused, considering the offer. With a recent windfall of two billion in his account, he wasn’t eager to work for soone else. However, Mrs. Zhao, looking at Luo Yuyan, encouraged him, “She’s so sweet. Su, just agree!”
Zhao Su knew his mother’s intentions; she likely wanted him to get closer to Luo Yuyan, perhaps even considering her as a potential wife. He remained undecided.
Luo Yuyan’s expression turned to one of disappointnt, and she seed on the verge of tears. anwhile, the live stream’s chat room was buzzing with viewers urging him on.
”Host, the girl is about to cry. You’ve got to agree!”
“She’s so pretty. If it were , I would have agreed instantly.”
Seeing the comnts, Zhao Su was caught between laughter and tears as everyone seed to bla him.
As the viewers’ indignation intensified, his live stream’s Popularity Value skyrocketed. Having previously spent 100,000 Popularity Value, he was now down to 50,000.
However, these viewers were all there to scold him. Zhao Su couldn’t decide whether to be thrilled or saddened.
At that mont, Mrs. Zhao nudged him with her foot.
Glancing at the tearful Luo Yuyan and then at his mother, Zhao Su promptly responded, “I agree.”
“That’s fantastic!” Luo Yuyan bead with joy.
Seeing her endearing expression, Zhao Su smiled and said, “Though I’ve accepted, you’ll have to grant a couple of days off. I need to take my mom back ho first.”
“Absolutely, that’s totally fine. Do you have a car? I’ll have my butler lend you mine,” Luo Yuyan said graciously.
