C32 – Revenge
Luo Yuyan and Zhao Su went their separate ways, while Huo Yingjiao and Zhao Yingying stayed behind, both won known for their vivacious personalities. They were in search of more entertainnt even after the music had stopped.
Sheng Geng excused himself to the restroom, where he covertly took out his phone and made a call: “Is Mr. Rong available? I could use your help.” If he couldn’t act openly, he would do so in secret!
Sheng Geng was a man of deep sches. After hanging up, he smirked to himself, “Zhao Su, I’m curious to see how you’ll handle this.” Mr. Rong was a powerhouse locally, with over a hundred subordinates at his command. Sheng Geng had made this connection through a friend. With Mr. Rong stepping in, Zhao Su, an insignificant employee with no connections, was sure to be taken down.
Would Luo Yuyan still be attracted to Zhao Su after he was dealt with? Sheng Geng also wanted to give Zhao Su a taste of his own clout. The more he thought about it, the more he reveled in the thought.
After returning to the private room, he quickly told Zhao Yingying that sothing had co up and left the KTV lounge.
In the parking lot, Zhao Su and Luo Yuyan said their goodbyes. Luo Yuyan had wanted Zhao Su to join her for the ride ho, but he declined, considering he had to pick up his parents the following day. Besides, he now had a house of his own where his family could stay.
Luo Yuyan felt a twinge of disappointnt; she had hoped for more ti to talk with Zhao Su. Their budding relationship was at a pivotal point for them to grow closer. Zhao Su occupied her thoughts, yet she was too shy to press the matter. With a wistful sigh, she instructed her driver to head ho.
“The host is so distant!” one viewer remarked.
“Is there sothing wrong with the host? How can he not be swayed by a beauty’s offer?” another inquired.
“Had it been , I would’ve definitely accepted her invitation,” a third viewer added.
Zhao Su’s live stream was slowly gaining traction.
The man of the hour saw his live stream’s popularity begin to rise. Just as Zhao Su had anticipated, while he was saying goodbye to Luo Yuyan, the number of viewers had soared to 500,000.
Luo Yuyan felt a tinge of regret; she had wanted to have a proper conversation with Zhao Su. Their relationship had just begun to progress, and it seed like the perfect ti for them to enjoy each other’s company. Luo Yuyan’s mind was filled with thoughts of Zhao Su, but being shy by nature, she didn’t protest when Zhao Su didn’t want to walk with her. With a pout, she asked the driver to take her ho.
“The Host is so aloof!” so viewers comnted online.
“Does the Host have so issues? Why is he so indifferent when a beautiful girl invites him?” another asked.
“If it were , I’d definitely walk with that young lady,” another chid in.
Zhao Su watched Luo Yuyan’s car drive away, then turned and headed towards the edge of the parking lot. He had stayed longer than intended, and now there wasn’t a taxi in sight. Pulling out his phone, he called Liang Yiyi to pick him up. He ntally noted the urgency of getting his driver’s license to avoid such inconveniences in the future.
After hanging up, Zhao Su sat on the curb to wait. Suddenly, a group of over ten people in eccentric attire dashed across the street, whistling. Zhao Su furrowed his brow as they quickly surrounded him.
”What do you want?” he asked, standing up and scanning his surroundings cautiously.
“We’re here to give you a proper welco!” a mocking voice replied.
Zhao Su turned to see Sheng Geng approaching with a sardonic grin, a yellow-haired thug at his side, and even Sheng Geng himself half a step behind. Zhao Su thought the thug looked vaguely familiar, but the dim lighting made it difficult to see clearly.
