"Kekekeke. The great one...spe...speaks. Do you...hear him? Can you...hea..hear it?"
The weird voice sounded again. What was weird about the voice was that just like the Emissary, it spoke in a language that the players didn't understand but they could interpret the aning behind the words. It was a language that spoke directly towards the mind but unlike that of the Emissary, the speaker didn't sound so used to the language as he had to take interdiate pauses between his speech.
"A pyscho or what?" Swift Blade said lackadaisically though in reality, he was on full alert against any ambush.
"It speaks like the other one." Dream Tiger said. By the other one, he referred the the main boss above, who was being dealt with by the trio of Arman, Bishop Enzo and Deval.
As there was a video recording of the first contact of players and the Emissary, most of them who watched it had realised that the Emissary didn't actually speak in the language they understood, be it Chinese or English, but rather used a different one. While most of them ignored this as they felt it didn't matter so much, since there was an inbuilt translator in the ga, there were so who thought differently.
Those who were well aware of the different intonations and syllables of various languages, discovered that the language the Emissary spoke wasn't a real language on Earth neither was it any of the popular ones spoken by NPC characters in the ga. This lead to the conclusion that it was either a rune type language or a forgotten language.
Dream Tiger was actually implying that since this current boss spoke like the Emissary, they might be from the sa heritage. Even Sato frowned at the thought of that as he had previously encountered another of the sa heritage as the Emissary.
"I don't think so. Even though there was quite so distance between us both, his aura felt different than the other." Griffin objected.
"He could have been hiding it." Swift sword dissented.
"Focus. We just need to find him first." Chesces sternly warned.
"He's right." Drunken Hog supported as everyone once again kept their guards up.(AN: Old Juro's IGN)
Though it looked like they were cooperating, it was anything but that. Old Juro had already planned on getting the kill for the boss while Chesces planned the sa. They both acted friendly and supportive of the other because first if all, their strength was equal and also, they didn't know the true strength of the boss as such, they both needed soone who would take a beating for the team so as to enable them to find out the boss' stats and location.
A few seconds later, the voice sounded again.
"Death to th...th...those...who fail, to bow." The voice sounded from the end of the hallway as a figure walked from the darkness.
Unlike the previous 3 feet tall creatures, this one was 1.5 tres tall or rather 5 foot tall. With a dark green skin and black patterns painted on it, the creature looked more like a belligerent tribesman than an intelligent being who could communicate.
It wasn't burly like the trolls neither was it skinny like the regular goblins. It looked more like a normal human being but with a different skin color.
It had green eyes, a small pointed nose and thin lips. The aura it leaked was just like before, perfectly blending with the environnt, but this ti, it had a little sothing different. There was a bit of madness in his presence, one that made the players feel as if they want to lose control to their carnal thoughts and desires. But such effect wasn't so serious on the players as they could easily resist it by concentrating a bit more on control or chanting a catchy mantra or phrase. Even still, they all reached the conclusion that this might be so due to the distance between them and the boss. They believed that if they were anymore closer, things wouldn't be so easy as internally chanting 'Om Mani Pad Hum' or 'twinkle, twinkle little star'.
"Since you have co he..here. Plea...please stay." The boss lifted his right hand at them as a jade-green brilliance shimred through the hall.
. . . . .
In a specific location underneath the ground, two different groups of players had encountered each other with one of them launching a surprise attack at the other. The battle didn't last long as not only did the first group make good use of their advantage of a surprise attack but they were also stronger than the other group.
"Arghh"
*Schwang* [1]
"That's the last one right?" As the man spoke, he swung his sword, spilling the blood of his opponent allover the place. Beneath him were a few bodies that had yet to disintegrate, probably due to the owners not turning the quick disintegration feature on.[2]
"Yeah. All that remains now is the gate." Another player spoke while staring at the gate a couple of tres in front of them.
"Good. Recently, all this righteous and 'do good' idiots think that everything is ant for them. They believe that they will win and triumph over the dark side. But we, Sinland, are here to show them a different view. After we are done with the boss, East Crow guild is next."
After Faded wings and rock unexpected encounter with the boss and the goblin army, the other mbers had actually reacted quickly, escaping the site. Devis was left behind to monitor the place but he ended up being captured by the 'righteous' players.
During his ti in captivity, he claid that the other upper echelons of Sinland had died and that he was the only one left. This was to make the 'righteous' players unconsciously ignore Sinland's activities as they believed that with their levels reduced thanks to their deaths, the Sinland mbers would be forced to focus on levelling up and ignore the mission. But this was nothing more than a step forward in their plan.
When the wide scale mission was announced, they bid their ti and waited till most of the players were occupied in their battles before stepping in and eliminating the goblins after all, no one can give up such a good grinding opportunity.
After that, with the announcent of the ergency mission, they had easily reached the conclusion that the boss would be hiding underneath the ground and imdiately headed for the closest tunnel. During their journey underground, they encountered other players and killed them while pillaging their corpses for loots, bringing not sha but honour and glory to their titles as dark players. Every other player, be they guild or solo players, fell at their hands. In this regard, Fudo and Sato's journey could be said to be extrely smooth since all they t were a few goblin scouts.
"Captain, our n who were after East Crow reported seeing them enter a different room. According to them, it might be the boss' chambers." Manny looked at the middle aged man that lead the team.
"Riddled, have you found the room's location?" The man looked at another player, the druid, Riddled Tree.
"There's a lot of interference and since I don't know the nature of this boss, it becos even harder to track him." Seeing his captain frown, Riddled Tree continued "However, there's a different signature I'm picking up. It feels similar to that of the other goblins but its far stronger. If there were a boss, I can vouch that this guy is either it or a bodyguard at the very least. It is exactly this signature that I'm sensing from over there."
"Alright then.. Let's move."
