"Holy sh*t! Are you a god or sothing? Over 8000 of the quest materials?"
"That's the power of the Lord of Forever City, surpassing even Orgod!"
The players around were in an uproar, marveling at the number of monsters in the US region. There were legendary figures like Usher, Orgod, and Demon Emperor, who made their nas in the stronghold wars, conquering territories with their overwhelming power.
anwhile, the Swordsmanship Master Alexander had honed his skills and set up an indiscriminate arena in Golden City. Defeat him, and you'd win 10,000 gold. He had been undefeated, slaying 130 top players from various classes, making him the pinnacle of lee combat!
At the sa ti, several mysterious new guilds had risen, investing massive amounts to acquire countless stronghold resources. Their terrifying financial and human resources had made even so of the guilds with publicly listed company backgrounds look pale in comparison.
And now, there was this person in front of them.
The Golden Masked Warrior, rumored to have defeated the undefeated Orgod, proudly stood as the ruler of Forever City in the Infinite Dinsions world. His strength, as deep and unfathomable as an abyss, left everyone in awe!
Inside the mansion, the quest collection task ca to an end.
Snow Dream's expression, previously filled with anger and panic, quickly faded. She turned around and stared at Orson's back, softly murmuring, "I will rember your words. Thank you for the lesson."
"Thanking won't help." Orson said without turning back, following Nessov toward the second floor of the mansion.
"Soone once told that no matter how powerful the opponent is, as long as they still need to breathe, they can lose." Snow Dream responded calmly.
"Did I say sothing that stupid?" Orson paused his steps, pondering briefly. He awkwardly scratched his chin... he completely forgot.
It seed that so of the exaggerated boasts he'd made had now turned into words of wisdom in soone else's ears.
Snow Dream's rapid growth speed was undeniable, and that could beco a future threat. Unfortunately, they were still in a safe zone, otherwise, he would have directly taken action to weaken her strength and spirit.
"Please wait a mont, adventurer."
Nessov made a gesture for them to stop, and Orson nodded slightly.
In front of them stood a lavish screen. Behind it, the space was clearly large, with six crystal-clear pillars supporting the upper floors of the mansion, creating an impressive sight.
The screen began to open, and in the dim light, a graceful figure erged.
"Please."
Nessov nodded toward him as the screen gradually parted.
Standing in the higher part of the hall was a woman with stunning purple hair and a beautiful face, wearing a faint smile as she gazed at them.
Additionally, four incredibly powerful warriors stood beside her, clad in heavy armor studded with purple crystals. Their physiques were much larger than the average NPC, and they even had grotesque dragon horns on their foreheads.
Nessov: "Bow to Princess Cassandra of the Purple-Gold Family, and offer your loyalty, adventurer."
[Purple-Gold Dragon Guard: Level 70]
[Domain Lord Class Creature]
[HP: 30 million]
[Attack: 8000~12000]
[Skills: Dragon's Fury Slash, Frenzied Blood Burn, Dragon Rebirth]
Orson's eyes narrowed. These four Dragon Guards were hybrids of humans and dragons, but their bloodline was purer than the usual dragon kin warriors. They could almost be considered immobile dragons rather than NPCs.
Their attributes were significantly stronger than regular dragon bosses.
In the Light Dragon Empire, royalty was not of royal blood but rather an honorary title. Only families favored by the upper-tier dragons were entitled to be called royalty.
The purple-haired woman, who claid to be a princess, must have been the eldest daughter of the Purple-Gold Family.
"Bow? I think I'll pass." Orson smiled faintly. He had no habit of bowing to NPCs.
[Purple-Gold Dragon Guard]: "Impudent human, kneel!"
The roar that followed carried a hint of dragon's might. Any ordinary player would likely lower their heads in submission, but for Orson, these Domain Lord Dragon Guards were hardly a threat—just a difference between one hit and ten.
Thud thud thud...
A Dragon Guard, its face covered in dragon scales, marched toward him, its every step shaking the ground like a mountain.
"Let's get to the point. I've submitted my items, and I haven't received my reward yet. And there's no hint about the hidden quest line either. How about an explanation?" Orson said with a smile.
"Adventurer, I advise you to follow the ancient rules of the Holy Light Empire!" Nessov warned.
The Purple-Gold Dragon Guard angrily shouted, "Kneel! Beg for Princess's forgiveness, or you will die!"
With that, the Dragon Guard raised a heavy war spear and locked onto Orson.
Cassandra remained still, showing no sign of panic, and instead, a look of amusent appeared on her face as she gazed at him, seemingly waiting to see how he'd react to the Dragon Guard's threat.
"Another boring task."
Orson shrugged helplessly, drawing his Supre Arcane Blade. Upon seeing this, the Dragon Guard roared and swung the spear down.
Clang!
The entire room shook as sparks flew. The floor cracked under the Dragon Guard's weight, and Nessov was nearly blown away by the collision's shockwave.
The Dragon Guard's eyes widened in shock as he gritted his teeth and swung his spear again. "Die!"
Orson's face remained expressionless, raising his arm. He didn't use any special skills, just a regular attack.
Clang!
Clang!
Orson blocked the strikes effortlessly.
Dragon Rebirth!
The Dragon Guard's forehead bulged with veins as his large form expanded. Dark brown claws erged from his boots, boosting his attack power and HP.
However, even with over 10,000 attack power, compared to Orson's 30,000 in close combat, it was still weak.
"Nice attributes, but too slow."
Orson easily predicted the Dragon Guard's attack trajectory.
He stepped on the Dragon Guard's thick arm, leaping high to avoid the strike. Mid-air, he swung his Supre Arcane Blade, delivering seven lightning-fast strikes in one second.
The Dragon Guard's eyes widened in fear as he quickly raised his war spear to block, but the swords and spears collided violently.
Rune Sigil Stonell: [Unbreakable] triggered!
A crisp sound echoed, and cracks appeared on the legendary weapon the Dragon Guard was holding.
Critical Hit - 1.1 million!
Critical Hit - 1.1 million!
Disable Hit - 3.5 million!
With a crash, the Dragon Guard scread, and both his war spear and arm were violently torn off by Orson!
"Still not kneeling in front of the adventurer?" Orson coldly laughed.
He grabbed the Dragon Guard's horn and with a flash of dark red energy from his Supre Arcane Blade, he exerted an overwhelming force that made the once arrogant Dragon Guard lower his head.
"How dare you hurt a descendant of the Purple-Gold Dragons, pay with your life!"
The other three Dragon Guards roared in unison and rushed to Orson's aid.
But Cassandra suddenly waved her hand to stop them, showing no fear, only a look of excitent as she gazed at Orson.
"Adventurer, please forgive the incompetence of my guards."
"You have earned Cassandra's recognition!"
A prompt sounded.
Orson furrowed his brow. This place was once again a no-fighting zone, and his plans for making so extra profit imdiately fell through.
"Everyone, step back!"
Cassandra coldly snorted, and the Dragon Guards quickly retreated.
Cassandra's eyes lit up as she gazed intensely at Orson, her expression almost raw with intent.
"Great adventurer, I believe with your help, I will definitely beco the empress... no! I should beco the empress of the empire!"
"You have submitted the item [Fragnt of the Blood Demon Essence]."
"You will receive 4000 Free Attribute Points, 5000 Skill Points, 10 Talent Points, and 200,000 Gold."
Orson was montarily stunned. The reward was incredibly generous, but strangely, it didn't arrive imdiately.
"You have received a hidden quest clue."
"Due to your outstanding performance, the hidden quest difficulty has been upgraded from Abyss-Tier to Hell-Tier."
"If you complete this quest, you will receive double the reward for the Fragnt of the Blood Demon Essence collection task!"
"Double reward... Now that's enticing!"
Orson couldn't help but smile. Since most players would share their rewards in team quests, completing this alone ant he'd get all the spoils.
This reward was nearly equivalent to what he got from killing the Golden Dragon King!
If he doubled it... this would be an absolute win!
Orson smiled, realizing Cassandra was smart enough to change her tactics. He muttered to himself, "View."
"Hidden Quest: [The Crown of Sin]"
"Difficulty: Hell-Tier"
"Quest Details: Go to the Holy Light Church and take the divine item [Crown of Sin] from a woman nad [Ursula]."
"Background: The Crown of Sin was once held by the Blood Demon Ancestor. Once the [Fragnt of the Blood Demon Essence] is infused into it, the wearer will gain unparalleled charm abilities, but they will also be assimilated by the evil Blood Demon Ancestor."
"Unless you receive help from the Purple-Gold Dragon King, there will be unavoidable strange changes to the wearer."
