"That thing is coming toward us!" Juok Pokpung, a player from the NUK region, said in a low voice.
Her class was quite unique; although she was a warrior, she wielded a pair of golden gauntlets with the S-rank hidden class, Imperial Iron Fist, giving her an impressive combat strength.
Even though Yamata no Orochi's size was already quite extraordinary, compared to this creature, it looked like a small snake with eight heads!
The twelve players' stone slabs were being pulled by an unknown force. Earthquake—massive boulders flew in all directions, crashing toward the gaping mouth of the sky-eating beast.
"A god-tier creature far exceeds the usual monsters. Is Infinite Dinsions intentionally setting us up to fail?" Usher pondered, trying to activate the Demon Shrine's ergency exit, but to no avail.
No matter how strong the players were in their respective regions, against such a monstrous being, they were essentially powerless.
Naoko, who was closest to Ancestor Vilitian, turned pale. Reflexively, she summoned her Black Soul Familiar to try and flee.
Orson suddenly spoke up to stop her: "What are you panicking for? Didn't you see that huge CG prompt in the top-left corner?"
"CG animation?"
Naoko froze, then blinked, confirming that indeed, this was a cinematic sequence for the dungeon.
The others realized it too, and slightly relaxed.
Orson wasn't too harsh on them—many of them were carrying the hopes of their guilds and even entire regions here. Under such imnse pressure, it was inevitable that so details would slip by.
Infinite Dinsions didn't have dungeons where there was no hope of survival. If the beast truly wanted to kill them, it could do so in an instant, without the need to bother dragging the islands around.
But even though everyone had realized it was just a cinematic, the world's lifelike design still made them shiver. Every player looked uneasy.
The Ancestor Vilitian swallowed the stone slab whole, and everyone's vision went black. The scene transitioned.
When they regained their senses, they found themselves inside the Vilitian's body.
"You have discovered the Titan God's Council Chamber!"
The subtitle slowly revealed, and they found themselves on a bronze chessboard in a gray, misty space.
Orson frowned slightly and looked up to see a pair of enormous eyes staring down at the players from above.
"The statues behind us... Is this the Titan God race?" Naoko exclaid.
Behind them stood bronze chairs, each a thousand ters tall, with twelve giant statues sitting on them.
These statues were so lifelike, with three enormous eyes, and a mystical third eye on their foreheads glimred with a soft, divine light.
Orson's heart stirred. Could this be the Titan's Magical Vertical Eye he had been looking for?
"Unable to view attributes."
Orson sighed in frustration. If not for so rule restricting his movent, he would have flown over on his Crimson Lizard King to pluck the statues' eyes out.
"Adventurers, make a wish, and the gods will grant it!"
A distant voice echoed, shaking everyone's heart.
In the center of the bronze chessboard appeared a pool of water, radiating strange light.
Through the mist, nurous rare items began floating out rapidly.
Quest List Updated!
"Available personal items: Common, Rare, Uncommon, Relics, Divine Items."
"Rule 1: Each person has three chances to make a wish for an item."
Orson's eyes lit up. This was an unexpected turn of events.
According to the quest details, not only could they choose Relics and Divine Items, but they could also select high-quality special items like Forbidden Magic Equipnt Blueprints or clues to Secondary Class Awakening.
However, these were all "personal items," which ant large weapons like Celestial Fortress or Demon Shrine were excluded.
"But your comrades may oppose your choices. Envy will cause your comrades to curse you."
Orson furrowed his brow, sensing a trap.
"Rule 2: The higher the tier of the item you choose, the more likely your greed will anger the gods."
"Should the gods turn their favor away, you will die instantly, lose 20 levels, and cannot be revived by a priest."
"Rule 3: Each player has one chance to place a Titan's Curse on another."
"Titan's Curse effect: Increases the target's chance of instant death. If the target dies, the item they desired will be granted to the one who cursed them."
"Rule 4: Each player has one chance to place Titan's Blessing on another."
"Titan's Blessing effect: Decreases the target's chance of instant death. The one who blesses them will receive attribute points, talent points, and a reward of coins."
The prompt continued, and the atmosphere grew heavy as everyone realized the stakes involved.
Clearly, this was not just a simple "lucky spin." There was considerable risk involved.
Most of the players present were level 40 and above, nearing the threshold for their second class awakening.
Should they die and lose 20 levels, they would be left far behind by the world's top players.
"What kind of ga rule is this? It sounds like a ss," Naoko said with a wry smile.
Orson thought for a mont and answered calmly, "It's Russian Roulette, basically a life-or-death gamble."
The higher the quality of the item they chose, the more likely they were to die instantly.
"An SSS-tier Chaos Overlord, requiring Dragon King's Horn and the Titan Vertical Eye, both divine items..."
Orson's mind raced as he quickly calculated the odds of obtaining these items.
Of course, the most likely scenario was that he would be targeted by the majority.
"State what item you desire most, adventurer, Orgod," the voice rang out.
The spotlight-like light shone directly on Orson, drawing the attention of everyone in the room.
"Those with fear in their hearts, now is your chance to leave. You will face no punishnt for quitting."
The ethereal voice spoke again.
At that mont, a "quit dungeon" option appeared on Orson's interface.
Orson glanced around at the players. No one chose to leave. Anyone brave enough to reach this point was far beyond ordinary players.
Kalrien (NR): "A ga for the brave. I like it."
Juok Pokpung (NUK): "If he doesn't have Growth Forbidden Magic weapons, I don't think he's stronger than . But the player over there seems way stronger than all of us."
Jungle Maniac (SA): "The US has claid three spots? Interesting. I'm sure you all know what I suggest—no more letting these disgusting players continue to run rampant."
Juok Pokpung (NUK): "I agree. NUK is the birthplace of East Asia. These shaless US players have stolen from us for too long. They'll get their due retribution."
Usher and Snow Dream's faces turned ashen. Everyone knew how thick-skinned the NUK players were, and this woman was clearly stoking the flas, inciting others.
Since the opening of Infinite Dinsions, the US region had been all over the forums.
Due to their long-standing global dominance, many countries were becoming increasingly hostile toward them. This animosity was being voiced loudly on social dia.
At this point, with the US occupying a quarter of the spots, players from other regions were growing envious.
"NUK... A server with barely over ten million players. How shaless to talk so big," Snow Dream scoffed with disdain.
Juok Pokpung: "What can those trash players do? This is the graveyard for US players."
Usher shot her a cold glance and responded indifferently, "No need for more words. I'll stick with this to the end."
"Everyone, please quiet down. My suggestion is simple—since everyone has three chances to make a wish, why don't we all vote in favor? Everyone wins that way."
Orson smiled lightly, looking at the others. "From what I can tell, the rules are trying to force us to fight each other. Why not consider a mutually beneficial approach?"
His proposal caused a shift in the others' expressions. Everyone paused for a mont, caught in hesitation. Read latest stories on My Virtual Library Empire
His suggestion was quite tempting. If everyone agreed to forgo the Titan's Curse, it would be fair for all.
Even if soone got unlucky and was killed by the ga rules, they could only bla their own bad luck.
"I oppose."
"I disagree. Why give up the chance to weaken our opponents?"
The mont Juok Pokpung and Naoko spoke, Orson looked at Naoko, puzzled. What was this crazy woman up to?
