Chapter 94: The Book!

After discovering the existence of this mysterious book, Ken’s mind was full of thoughts about it.

It’s content that had possibly shaped the civilization of these lands if not the entire world he was in, the one who brought it into existence, how it was written, how many pages it has.

The more he thought about it just from what Elder Magga had been speaking the more things started making sense.

It contained the secrets of the world.

The Spirit Path itself was all revolving around it, and the thing about beocming one with nature or integrating with it was possibly talking about it.

Right and wrong, principles, beliefs, and morals. All of this needed to co from sowhere, if not from humanity’s innate instinct that they were born with which forbade them from killing people harming others and whatnot, it also needed to co from a bigger source.

This book was most definitely the bigger source.

If Ken was told to na one difference between this world’s residents and Earth’s, he would say the existential crisis.

Back then, he had a talk with all cultures, all people, and all ideologies, and he had co to understand two things: the difference between a purposeful and purposeless life and knowing what that purpose is, and the difference between having a set of rules in your life and instructions and not having them.

The purposeful lived their lives to the fullest without worries; whether poor or rich, the forr showed unparalleled patience, and the latter showed sympathy and no pride.

And those sa people who knew and had purpose in their lives mostly lived within a set of rules and had instructions on what to do in every situation?

The other half, however, wake up like strangers in that world, and in a few years they start asking questions they have no answers to, they start seeing things they don’t know the reason behind, and they bla it all on things they have no knowledge about. the total opposite of the forr.

No purpose would be an understatent; they don’t even know the reason for their existence... Ken could only sigh at what a sorry life it was he had lived for the first half of his journey on earth.

The answer was there; there were just a lot of internal and external obstacles on the way, so that had been there from birth and so that have been made intentionally by people who wanted nothing more than exploiting others for their benefits and didn’t want purposeful people within their rule.

But this world was different; in fact, the very rules were different, to the point he wondered if he was still in the sa world.

No one here thought about what was after death, or if there was anything above, as if they were made from this world, for this world.

But with the book, things were different, a holy scripture’s equivalent in this world, one that everybody followed with fervent hearts.

From humans to demons, each followed their own instructions, but enemies were enemies.

Humans could kill all and every demon and beastman, but they couldn’t touch cities nor destroy realms where the demon children resided.

But, at the sa ti, they couldn’t interfere with the lives of elves and dwarves on the other side who were neutral species, aside from going there for business or possibly marrying.

Sothing Magga had spoken about for so reason, but those who knew him knew he had an elven princess as a wife—very secret information.

Demons, on the other hand, could do the sa even for regular citizens like the village Ken had been to, but if they cared about what was more important, they wouldn’t cause mass killing in a single sitting and also wouldn’t touch children or the elderly.

This was an example of such rules, and of course... not everybody followed them.

There were those, even within the sect, who couldn’t care less or didn’t even have knowledge about its contents from the beginning.

But it had already done the job; people here had strong and solid morals that Ken couldn’t even find on earth, and that was it.

So other things he ca to know about this world... were that it was the only thing in this world... that held prophecies for the future.

Actual prophecies...

This wasn’t a joke; this was different. To actually hold prophecies makes it more important than it seed at first, so why is it that Elder Magga was speaking of such things and using this book without hiding anything?

If it was so important, then why wasn’t it hidden from the masses and used to exploit everything?

Ken could only co to two conclusions... they couldn’t... or shouldn’t.

"This is it from . I dare say that this is the most important information you should hold throughout your life. Not for riches or power, but because it promises you things you’d never dream of getting otherwise." He said.

"Karma is a great thing, and it builds up with action, and it can influence your life in ways you can’t imagine. So if you want control over it, mind every action; otherwise... the consequences are dire... very dire." Elder Magga’s words reverberated throughout the room, and Ken resurfaced from his thoughts.

Now his chest was burning for knowledge...

This book, whatever it was, he couldn’t go on without looking for it... he couldn’t go on without reaching it from start to finish, again and again and again, until he uncovered every single one of its secrets.

This was a must and a top priority on his list from his day on.

"Elder Magga, you have done a great job." On his side, the elder master smiled and said, catching Ken by surprise.

Hmm? A great job. His interest was piqued, and he focused on the conversation at hand.

"These young n would co to learn of it so ti soon, so I decided to do them a great favor and speed up their progress more than they would by themselves." Elder Magga smiled and spoke slowly; his eyes looked towards the feast in front of him after a long 12 hours of speaking.

"The Book... is our treasure, every being’s treasure."
