Chapter 6: The Spirit Mountain Sect!

Getting back to his little house, Ken had once again stopped for a few minutes, getting his thoughts together.

Then he looked at the door.

At this point in ti, launched into an unknown world and blessed with providence, yet knowing so very little, Ken found himself stranded, stranded between familiarity and unfamiliarity, excitent and fear, caution and also a sense of being used.

He couldn’t explain this feeling, nor the reason that caused it; maybe it was because he had the mories of two bodies, or maybe it was the fact that he found himself in a very uncomfortable and strange situation, a transmigration so to say.

"Step by step." The solution to this enigma.

Step by step, he would learn; step by step, he would get used to it; step by step, he would get all the tools and exploit them for max efficiency to be in control again, in complete control over his life.

"But things are different now." Ken stood in place.

As much as he wanted to get out and explore, he needed to be careful.

Things were indeed different but in what way?

They were different because this was no longer Earth.

The spirit path, the elents, the secret realms, the other races, the abominations.

Many different and supernatural phenona surrounded him, making his goal of control harder than ever.

Thus, the only way for him to secure it was by getting stronger. This was the only truth.

And Ken believed that in any world, information was the primal form of strength.

As with knowledge, all the doors opened, even those of ascension.

But the dilemma he was currently facing was the persona he needed to show to this world.

He didn’t have to worry about people noticing anything about his transmigration, as, let alone the other outer sect disciples, even this body’s own parents would fail to see any difference due to the limited etings they had.

This world was harsh, giving mortals little to no rest, and for those of higher power, or the ones pursuing mystical powers, rest was a foregone reality, as each and every mont was spent trying to grasp more truths.

Yet, when the opportunity showed up, and they were sent on missions or t up for various reasons, their ego acted up, arrogance beyond words showed up, and a disregard for all life and a sense of being higher than all played out.

Even so, the level of intelligence Ken had perceived from the cultivators at the recruitnt process was completely different from the prideful and arrogant young masters who didn’t think of consequences.

Maybe, just maybe, this world didn’t allow for that.

Still, that didn’t stop them from feeling higher than mortals, as it was a truth, a fact no one could deny, as Ken himself, upon discovering that he had a 7th-grade root, had made a 180-degree ntal transformation.

Because from then on, he was on a completely different pedestal.

So what persona should he go with? Kind, arrogant, or calm? his own self, or one that would make use of the faceless skill? Mysterious, or showing much of his prowess.

Upon thinking about it and putting his priorities on top, balance was the answer.

Showing too many of his trump cards would cause problems, but not showing any wouldn’t do him any good.

Also, being too arrogant wasn’t to his liking, compared to keeping calm in all situations.

And since he wanted so peace, keeping mysterious would do wonders in that regard.

So from now on, he would observe calmly and slowly and only act accordingly, promising efficiency.
