Sparks flew as the tal of William's Abyssal Weapon Shifter dug into the equally dense tallic surface of the Treasure Mimic. A one-centiter groove ford in the Treasure Mimic's casing where the greatsword struck, but the weapon was moving much slower than William anticipated.

He shifted his weight, leaning over and placing his left arm over the dull end of the greatsword. The additional force was enough to cut another two centiters, but the Abyssal Weapon Shifter bent slightly, as if it was a tal spoon scooping ice cream.

The Treasure Mimic tried to pull away from the greatsword, but William's pressure was locking it in place. Treasure Mimics didn't have much movent ability, this one barely reaching the Ascension Realm.

Its strength wasn't much different, other than its bite force. Even if it entered the Deity Realm, the Treasure Mimic likely still wouldn't be able to pull away.

It struggled in place for almost a minute before it eventually spewed a spray of Seal Mana. William was unaffected, but the Abyssal Weapon Shifter beca softer than normal, bending in an awkward direction that prevented William from using it anymore.

Experience tales with empire

He pulled the greatsword back from the Treasure Mimic and stored the damaged Abyssal Weapon Shifter in his Space Ring. It would take a few hours to recover, even with so Arrays that William added to it in the past.

This one's tough! William couldn't help but exclaim in awe when he looked at the Treasure Mimic. His full-force attack had only created a three-centiter-deep cut on its body. If he wanted to destroy the Treasure Mimic, he was going to need to use a lot more strength than he had revealed.

There's no one here right now, and the way in here is blocked. I doubt anyone else has the ability to reach this area of the Dungeon, so I should be safe. William thought to himself.

He opened the Domain of Fire while simultaneously retrieving a Startal Longsword that he had forged well before he Ascended. Its surface was sleek and sharp, having been well-maintained inside of William's Space Ring.

The Abyssal Weapon Shifter was William's weapon of choice because it could transform into any weapon he wanted it to, but that did not an it was his strongest. In fact, the Startal weapons were made of a much rarer material than the Abyssal Stone used in forging the Abyssal Weapon Shifter.

The only reason William hadn't made a new Weapon Shifter is because he had grown attached to his current one, but it seed that he'd need to look for so new materials at this point. It wouldn't be long before William was facing enemies that exceeded the level of the Abyssal Weapon Shifter.

The Treasure Mimic was proof of that, and he was only on the 14th floor. What would he find on the 30th, or the final 40th floor?

William used the effects of the Domain of Fire to enhance his Startal Longsword, turning its surface red-hot while simultaneously softening the armor of the Treasure Mimic.

He stepped to the side to dodge a bite from the Treasure Mimic, then used Spatial Steps to close the distance once more, this ti from behind. The Treasure Mimic sensed sothing was wrong and tried to dodge, but William's speed and reaction ti were levels above that of a re chest.

The enhanced Startal Longsword slashed down in the sa spot that he struck with the greatsword, perfectly guiding itself into the cut and continuing forward like a knife through butter.

-Critical Chance has triggered.

The Treasure Mimic was sliced in half diagonally while the System notified William of his successful critical strike. With Critical Chance being X-Rank now, the chances of the critical hit had beco forty percent, which was absurdly high considering how many tis a high-level Cultivator can attack in a short period of ti.

The Treasure Mimic lost control of its motor skills and fell to the floor in two halves. In between the two parts, a shower of items sprayed into the air and spread around the room. As William scanned the area, his eyes reflected the unique shine of loot, and he mostly forgot about the Treasure Mimic's cris.

Mostly.

In William's view were thousands of Quake Dungeon Gems, Earth-type defensive amulets, and even a dual Earth/Seal Orb that was almost eighty-percent full. Contained within the Orb was pure and concentrated Mana. One half was filled with Earth Mana, and the other contained Seal Mana.

With a cursory inspection and the help of the System, William found that there was almost four million Mana stored within the Orb, out of a maximum of five million. It was no small amount.

None of the Earth Mana had been exhausted, but almost forty percent of the Seal Mana had been used. Even so, William could either use the Orb to assist his Cultivation slightly or store it within his Space Ring as an extra supply of Mana for later.

He could even empty the Orb and choose to fill it with sothing else later on, if he so chose to.

William collected all of the items and stored them within his Space Rings, then counted out his current number of Quake Dungeon Gems. He combined what he had collected on the first 13 floors and added it to what he had found recently, reaching a total of 4,362 Quake Dungeon Gems.

If his number was correct, that ant the Treasure Mimic had dropped over three thousand Gems by itself. Also, the conversion rate for Quake Dungeon Gems to Spirit Jade was 100 to 1, aning he essentially had 43 Spirit Jades!

Quicksilver Ore sold for a single Spirit Jade, and Antitoxin Stones were worth 9, which ant William could buy both of these items right now. Not only that, but he'd have 33 Spirit Jades left over that could be used in the Auction House.

That said, William rembered that the Advanced Electro Core was worth 80 Spirit Jades. If that item wasn't sothing sold in the Auction House, he wondered if he was still very poor. After all, two entire days of farming in the Dungeon only ca out to half the cost of the Advanced Electro Core.

I still need more Gems! I wish these students weren't part of my Academy, otherwise I might make a habit of robbing them.

-You would bully children for their money? How low can you go?

Most of them are the sa age as ! So of them are even older! You can't say that.

-You're hiding your strength and even the third years barely compare to you. They might as well be children.

It's a Cultivation World. Survival of the fittest! William wasn't going to take the System's abuse when he had bigger things to worry about than a bunch of students' feelings. Besides, I told you I wouldn't steal from students of the sa Academy, so I won't.

-But you would if they weren't from Filem?

Absolutely!

The System didn't respond further, but William sensed a ntal sigh. His lips curled up as he stored the two halves of the Treasure Mimic in an empty Space Ring. After a short break, William moved onward to the fifteenth floor.
