William looked at the new abilities of his Elental Territories one by one. Each had their own benefits to use in battle, but he noticed a few things related to the Elents that weren't particularly used when fighting.
Create a molten lake with Fire? A frozen lake with Ice? An Ocean with Water? Create landmasses with the Earth Elent?
Can I create my own World at this point? William wondered to himself.
His Seal and Poison Territories didn't have as obvious effects as the Common Elents, but weren't they just establishing the rules of the environnt? The Poison Territory would create miasma as forbidden zones for others, while the Sealing Territory would restrict those that entered.
If William could handle the imnse Mana Cost when using his Territories, he could control all of Efretta by himself!
My Mana Regeneration is already insane, so I can handle most of this already, but the amount of ti would already be insane. I could probably build that City I talked about with my friends before, though.
William realized he was getting off track and returned his attention to the System Panel. While he would love to create his own City or Continents, he had System Quests to complete, a Master to help Ascend, and Points to spend. The rest could wait until later.
Onto the Rare Elents! System, upgrade my Light, Darkness, Curse, Blessing, and Death Elents to X-Rank!
-487500 PP
In a flash, another half a million Potential Points were gone while the System upgraded his next batch of Elents. The Light Elent was surprisingly calm, while the Darkness Elent was only able to corrode his skin a small amount before receding. Neither were able to force out William's Recovery Talent.
The Curse Elent ssed with William's flow of Mana and made it more difficult to move around, but the effects were so minimal it could hardly be compared to the Seal or Chaos Elents. Other than being immune to William's Mana Lord effect, the Curse Elent wasn't anything special.
The Blessing Elent was one of the few like the Life Elent that didn't inherently attack William, while Death was the complete opposite. Absorbing his lifeforce directly, the Death Elent eventually aged William to 386 years old, twenty years more than before.
Compared to William's 3600-year lifespan, though, it wasn't worriso. Unless the Death Elent stole two hundred years, he didn't mind too much.
How can I be upset with an Elent for its natural functions? That would be like telling a bird not to hunt for food in the morning!
Without my Recovery Talent, I might have lost thousands of years of lifespan. If it takes away twenty years of my lifespan, it must be able to steal even more from my enemies! William thought in excitent.
He looked at the effects of his new Territories. The Light Territory had a wide-range blinding effect, while also greatly enhancing the speed of him and his allies inside. The Darkness Territory could also blind others, but with the absence of light instead. Additionally, Darkness would slow anyone designated as an enemy.
Together, the Light and Darkness Territories were perfectly suitable for each other, while clashing at the sa ti. If he cast them separately, they could each blind, but when cast together there would be no blinding effect, though the gap between his and his enemy's speed would be imnse.
The Blessing and Curse Territories had the sa effect as their Domains, but on a whole other level compared to before. Not only did the radius of each Territory increase, but their effects were greatly enhanced, more than double what the normal Domain had.
--Upgraded Title: 5000 PP
-Seven Colored Mage (Mythic --> Celestial): You've acquired seven Common Elents and Seven Rare Elents, raising them all to X-Rank. Spells are 100% more Mana Efficient.
POTENTIAL POINTS: 2,399,105
I still have plenty of Points left, let's use them all! William thought to himself as he moved on to the Epic Elents.
System, raise my Necromancy, Blood, Sound, Summoning, and Dream Elents to X-Rank!
-675000 PP
The Necromancy Elent started first, filling William with negative emotions that targeted his deepest desires and worst fears. The effects were supposed to be intense, but William was surprised to find that the upgrade to SS-Rank was even weaker than he rembered the B-Rank upgrade being. In fact, he hardly felt a thing!
-The Necromancy Elent targets the soul. Your Soul Strength is much higher than it was before, so it can't breach your defenses at its current Rank.
William nodded in understanding, watching silently as visions appeared in front of him. Friends and family mbers would appear and say an things or die repeatedly, but William wasn't flustered. The Necromancy Elent was like a poor actor, and the visions were more like cardboard, they hardly looked real at all, and the lines were scripted.
Even the emotions that were supposed to fill William with rage were suppressed in an instant. It was hardly comparable to what he had to frequently deal with when suppressing the Humanity statistic.
The Blood Elent was next, but it was almost just as useless as the Necromancy Elent. It tried to drain the blood in William's body through his pores, but his Hard Body Talent had tightened up many aspects of him, not even a drop of blood could leak out.
Other than a weak nosebleed, William had little trouble dealing with the Blood Elent. The Sound Elent sealed his sense of hearing and jarred him from the inside with soundwaves, but he only lost a year of lifespan, nothing much. The Summoning Elent had no effect whatsoever, and the Dream Elent wasn't able to pull him into the Dream World because his Soul was too powerful.
With the Hard Body Talent to deal with the physical Elents and the Soul Strength to handle the non-physical, William had beco mostly immune to the effects of such unorthodox Elents.
The Epic Elents were turning out to be easier to handle than the Rare ones!
William stole a glance at the effects of his new Elents.
-Territory of Necromancy: An improved Domain, designed to automatically bring to life all beings killed within its area. While the Territory is active, any creature or human corpse up to one Realm above you will be completely under your control. The longer the Territory is channeled, the more range it covers. Does not affect other beings with the Necromancy Affinity at or above the Domain level.
-Territory of Blood: An improved Domain, designed to control the blood of any being within its area. The longer the Territory is channeled, the greater control you gain.
-Territory of Summoning: An improved Domain, designed to create a summoning zone for your Companion Beasts. Regardless of distance or number, the Host may summon all creatures under their control. Creatures are sent back to their previous location when the Territory is closed.
-Territory of Dreams: An improved Domain, designed to manifest the Dream Elent in the real world. Physical abilities beco useless, and power is determined by Soul Strength.
As William scrolled through the list of Talent upgrades, he found each new Territory to be more interesting than the last. The Summoning Elent alone would have amazing potential as he increased the number of Magical Beasts under his control.
These are true Epic Elents! I can only imagine how terrified soone would be if I summoned all of my Companion Beasts to a battle...
William didn't regret upgrading his Elents one bit. Even if he ran out of Potential Points, he decided to upgrade as many as he could today!
Before William could continue, however, he was interrupted by a System notification.

-Host can now absorb Superior Veins.
-Two Additional Farm Slots.
-Upgrading Farms will now count towards System Rank up.
...
...
-Certain trigger words will no longer result in a mory wipe.
———
William scrolled quickly through the System upgrade and nodded in satisfaction when he saw the two additional farm slots. He needed as many as possible to raise his Comprehension and was sowhat worried that he would forever be limited to just the few Elents.
Just as he was about to close the System panel, William noticed the last ssage. What do you an, mory wipe? System?
-Exactly that.
Have you been wiping my mory? How did I not notice?
-It's hard to rember sothing you've forgotten, isn't it?
...Why would you wipe my mory?
-No reason. You'll find out when the ti cos.
William shook his head and opted to not argue with the System further. Just the fact that it ntioned the mory wipe was enough sincerity. If the System wanted, it could avoid ntioning it the entire ti and he would be none the wiser.
Which led William to his next question: Why would the System choose now to say sothing?
