William launched a high-speed bolt of Lightning at Perion, hoping to catch the group off guard, but one of the Soul Formation Cultivators launched a Lightning Bolt of their own to deflect it in midair.
The one responsible for defending William's attack moved in front of Perion and crossed his arms, seemingly saying, "If you want him, you'll have to go through ."
Gu Dianlong also moved, teleporting next to William with the Space Elent and slashing out with a sword just like his younger version had done in the Gravitas Ruins. His sword was covered in Arrays that amplified his strength tenfold, while also decreasing the weight of the weapon itself so that it was incredibly fast.
William struggled to dodge even with his Reflexes Talent, the blade missing his left shoulder by a re centiter. It was the closest anyone had co to actually injuring him, when the other tis had been because William was trying to conceal his strength.
Now, his speed wasn't restricted in the slightest, yet he couldn't keep up with just that.
William shifted the hamr into a sword of his own, using his Weapons Master Talent to compete with Gu Dianlong's thousand years of experience. He boosted his speed further with the Light and Wind Elents, matching Gu Dianlong's with his own as they clashed over a hundred tis in midair.
He pushed his strength to the maximum, the intensity of his attacks pushing Gu Dianlong backwards by dozens of ters. William raised his altitude to be slightly above Gu Dianlong, maintaining the pressure to force the Sect Master to the ground.
His plan worked, as Gu Dianlong didn't have ti to pay attention to his surroundings. He backed up further and further until his back suddenly hit the walls of Blue Moon City, William taking advantage of it to pierce through his right shoulder while channeling Lightning Mana through it.
Gu Dianlong's body convulsed as he struggled to keep the Lightning at bay. It wriggled and writhed through his internal organs, causing a small amount of damage despite the massive Cultivation difference between the two.
Before William could press further, one of the Soul Formation Cultivators rushed behind William and tried to stab him in the back. William dodged to the side, but he was forced to pull back the Abyssal Weapon Shifter from Gu Dianlong's body, giving the man an opening to cast a Spell.
The Sect Master raised his wrinkled hand and called the surrounding Ti Mana to rewind the events of the past few minutes. Other than William's Mana that was still coursing through his body, everything turned back to the way it was before, even repairing so of the damage to the City Walls.
The Soul Formation Cultivator that had been approaching William was returned to his previous position, but he didn't seem aware of what had happened. Perion and the one protecting him hadn't move either, still recovering from their injuries.
Other than William and Gu Dianlong, who both had the Ti Elent, it seed that no one had suspected a thing. Gu Dianlong flashed a slight smile, but he didn't reveal his thoughts.
William looked at Gu Dianlong from afar with narrowed eyes. He knew the Ti Elent couldn't affect one's mories, so the man must have so interesting Innate Ability or treasure. Either way, it seed to be a good thing for him.
Rather than attacking Gu Dianlong in a different way, William repeated the sa events as before, leading to the exact sa result. Gu Dianlong's shoulder was pierced, Mana coursed through his body, and ti was rewound when the Soul Formation Cultivator attacked William.
The process was repeated dozens, then hundreds, and eventually over a thousand tis. Before the hundredth ti, William started committing the Mana of all of his Elents to target Gu Dianlong's shoulder, slowly weakening the strength of the Enslavent Array.
System, I'm running out of Mana. Can the Mana Regeneration Talent be upgraded right now? William asked with a sense of urgency. Even with his insane Mana Regeneration, he had spent about ten percent of it on Perion and the Magical Beasts.
Now that he was trapped in an infinite loop with Gu Dianlong, William had to pray that the Sect Master ran out of Mana before he did. He didn't care that much about helping the man, but he didn't like the idea of having yet another Tribulation Transcendence enemy.
He'd rather at least make one ally while he had the chance. Gu Dianlong would be a very useful asset later if William could turn the man to his side. Just like others wanted to use William when he was weak, William wanted to do the sa with Gu Dianlong.
It was hilarious to think about, a Core Formation Cultivator using a Tribulation Transcender, but with William anything was possible.
-Yes, it will cost you 15000 Potential Points.
Perfect, upgrade it, quick! The cost wasn't even that high compared to the Vision Talent he upgraded not long ago.

The singular Mana Regeneration upgrade increased his recovery rate by four tis, stacking with William's various other buffs for a massive boost that quickly halted the Mana loss.
Since it was still sealed, the Mana Gathering Staff only provided a 40% increase to William's Mana Regeneration rate, while the various Mana Dragon's Blood Essences gave another 350 Mana Regeneration.
Stacked with his base Mana Regeneration rate and the bonuses he gained from Cultivating to greater Realms, William would now recover 12257 Mana per hour as long as he was holding the Mana Gathering Staff! Or in simpler terms, just over three Mana per second!
If he was out of combat, that number would spike to almost fifty thousand per hour!
Since his Titles gave William tons of Mana Efficiency, he could continuously siphon Mana into Gu Dianlong without rest, and he'd still be regaining Mana!
William's Mana Mode was still active, so he was able to see where the Mana ca from this ti. It turned out that the System was actually pulling the Mana from the fourth layer of space, which was insane!
Perhaps if he upgraded it again, the Mana would co from the fifth or even sixth layer of space, if those even existed...
Regardless, it wasn't long before Gu Dianlong's expression turned from calm to a hint of worry. He had intended to use William to weaken his Enslavent Array even if just a little bit, but he never expected that the boy would have even more Mana than he did!
If Gu Dianlong didn't end the Ti Loop Spell in the next hundred loops, he wouldn't even have enough Mana to escape! Find your next read at m_v l|e-
But I'm so close. Just a little more and I can be freed from this damned Array. I have to hold on, even if the kid dies!
Gu Dianlong had never been a good person, so he didn't feel bad about using William. He had been enslaved much longer than William had, so it was only natural for him to want to use any ans possible to break free.
It wasn't that he hated William. In fact, he liked the kid for having so much natural talent and even for coming this far. It made Gu Dianlong proud that one of his Disciples had already caught up with him and wasn't far from reaching the peak combat strength of the World.
William's achievents were comparable to the stories of the Ancient figure this World was nad after, Efretta. Or... Goddess Efretta as so scriptures referenced.
Gu Dianlong was much too young to have known Efretta, but he had heard many interesting tales about her from his Master, who had learned it from his Grandmaster. So of the stories were so outlandish that it often made Gu Dianlong laugh, but his Grandmaster was always very serious when he spoke about her.
The woman was described as one of the most beautiful beings this World had ever produced. Graced with a perfect body, dozens of Innate Talents, loads of Elental Affinities, and learning comprehension that rivaled the Heavens, Efretta was known in this World as the most powerful Cultivator of all ti.
Gu Dianlong didn't know if there were others like her out there, but he could be sure of one thing. William was the closest person he had ever seen to matching the unbelievable stories of Goddess Efretta.
It made him guilty to think that he valued his life over William's when the boy clearly had remarkable talent, but that was the Cultivation World. It was cruel, but if Gu Dianlong didn't do it, soone else would.
He shook his head. He wouldn't be the one to continue the cruel Cultivation cycle. He had already done enough by enslaving William, even if that wasn't his own choice. If he wanted to die without regrets, Gu Dianlong needed to change his old ways.
If there's another way, I will gladly take that step.
