William's body slowly reford from the puddle of blood, and the, hopefully permanently, docile Elents returned to their previous state. The only problem was William still felt that he couldn't use his Magic for at least a few hours.

That aside, the Chaos Elent had successfully upgraded to S-Rank, and William chose not to bla it for how it acted during the upgrade. Even if he was angry, there was nothing William could do to an Elent within his own body.

Elents had their own nature, after all. William couldn't change that, no matter how hard he tried. He would just have to be more careful in the future.

Next ti, the Chaos Elent goes first.

William's sight returned, allowing him to peer at the destruction caused by his consecutive upgrades. The Barrier Array had been destroyed by the Heavenly Tribulation near the very end, so most of the damage was concentrated in a large radius, turning the area into a deep pit with William at the center.

Just outside the pit, William could see burnt grass and cracked earth, semi-lted ice amid thick tree roots, and lots of blood.

"It's a good thing I did this away from the City." William muttered to himself. He probably would have destroyed an entire City block if he had remained in the Hotel. Carl probably wouldn't have escaped either.

"William, right? Congratulations on reaching the Core Formation Realm." soone said from a few ters behind.

William turned to see a blonde youth wielding a staff covered in white gemstones in his right hand. It was Supre Left, though his body looked illusory, as if William could walk right through the man.

Supre Left smiled, "Surprised to see ? The one that died was only a clone."

When Tenebris tried to assassinate Supre Left, he had only killed the man's clone. Since then, Supre Left had carefully Cultivated a second clone, but its strength was currently less than ten percent that of the other clone.

If he wanted to recreate his old clone, he would need more than just a few weeks.

William nodded, though he already knew Supre Left was still alive since the ti he was spotted in the Hillvire Empire. "Don't you have better things to do than chase after soone hundreds of tis younger than you? I thought you were the most important person on the Continent."

"I can do many things at the sa ti, that doesn't concern you." Supre Left replied. He raised his hand to lightly tap his face in thought, then beckoned William forward with his finger.

"Co with to your execution, you have no choice." he said with a smirk, waiting for William to kneel and beg for forgiveness like anyone else that opposed him.

William tried to ask the System about Supre Left's intentions, but its functions were still disabled for an unknown length of ti. It seed that he was on his own for this one.

"I have no intentions of coming with you. You can take your ego sowhere else." William turned around and was about to leave. He wasn't afraid of Supre Left, who didn't even have the Space Elent.

But when William turned around, Supre Left was already there, grinning viciously, like a cat that enjoyed playing with its food. His expression read that he had no intention of letting William leave.

William stepped to the side calmly, bypassing Supre Left with re inches of space between them. With his current strength, William could sense that the Supre Left in front of him wasn't capable of taking his life. It was probably another clone.

Seeing William's unperturbed attitude, Supre Left beca slightly annoyed. Who had ever dared to ignore him like this? No one!

I'm over a thousand years old, and my grandchildren have fought with him on the sa level. This child needs to be taught the aning of respect!

Supre Left raised the illusory staff and an Array on its surface glowed with power. William took a peek at the Array, surprised to see it was an incredibly intricate Complete Confinent Array. If a Golden Core Cultivator were trapped by this, they wouldn't be able to take another step for three weeks.

Even other Tribulation Transcendence Cultivators feared this item. It was a powerful Artifact created only about four hundred years ago, by the second-best Array Master in all of Efretta. Supre Left's Father, Yu Gonyon.

The Array was cast, and William's body was restricted greatly. He looked left and right with difficulty to test the effects, but even his powerful physical strength could only fight a little bit. Supre Left smirked at his struggle, then added another Array to completely seal off William's movent.

There was suddenly the sound of breaking glass as William burst free from the original Array, then quickly dismantled the second as well. Under Supre Left's shocked gaze, William continued walking away at the sa pace he did before.

It was as if he didn't even care about being restricted!

"Y-You. Just what are you?" Supre Left asked slowly. This was the first ti anyone had ever resisted such a level of Arrays, which were supposed to be at the peak of the World. How could anyone shatter it like a Basic Array?

Capturing William suddenly moved from the middle to the top of Supre Left's list. If the boy could already handle the efforts of his clone using the Dao Staff, there was no telling how much trouble William would cause when he grew up.

Supre Left's expression turned serious, and he waved the Staff, calling forth a Fire Domain that spread for multiple kiloters. William was engulfed in fire instantly, his figure only a blue amidst the thick flas.

The Yu Family Leader wanted to smile and laugh at his apparent victory, but sothing felt wrong. Instead of attacking their target, Supre Left could feel his Mana wrapping around William as if they were best friends.

His eyes widened as he took a step back in shock. Supre Left had a terrifying guess at what was happening, and it made him want to give up on capturing William imdiately.

When soone raised the Affinity of an Elent, the environntal Mana would show more favor to them, giving them much greater control over that Elent. It was even more obvious when one was in the S-Rank, since it would allow one to open their Domain or even steal the Mana from their opponents' Spells.

The latter was happening now, but there was only one problem. Supre Left was an S-Rank Fire Mage as well, which ant that William's Fire Affinity had either just broken through to the Mythical SS-Rank, or he had been there for a while!

He had heard about the disappearance of another World Core in the Southern Plains, but Supre Left thought it was Retribution again. If he knew that William had upgraded his Fire Affinity to be above his own, he probably wouldn't have picked a fight with the boy.

After all, Supre Left only had one Elent, Fire. There was no point using Fire Magic against soone immune to it.

With this in mind, Supre Left chose to stop fighting and retreat for now. William was immune to both his Arrays and his Fire Magic, capturing him wasn't possible in a short amount of ti. He waved the staff again, creating a small portal that would take the clone back to his residence.

From within the flas, William wished he could use Magic. He could have easily turned the Domain around and targeted Supre Left, but the Chaos upgrade had blocked his use of the Elents temporarily.

The only thing he could do was wait for Supre Left's next move from within the flas. When he saw the blonde youth create a portal, however, William beca angry. He had expected more of a fight from the seemingly most powerful man on the Continent, even if it was a clone.

With his ti-slowing bonus effect, William's thoughts moved at high speed, allowing him to easily react to Supre Left's move. He stepped forward and flashed to Supre Left's position in between him and the portal, simultaneously slicing forward with the Sword of Shifting Sands.

"Where do you think you're going?" William called out as the sword created a long cut on Supre Left's body, fresh blood dripping to the ground as the man touched his chest in surprise. He hadn't expected the sword to cut right through the protections on his clothing.

The Protective Amulets on his body hadn't even triggered, but he quickly realized why. At the sa ti that William launched the sword strike, the boy had completely disabled the Arrays on all of his equipnt at the sa ti!

This... is well past the strength of a young man! The clone beca fearful of William, who seemingly had the ability to end his pitiful life that had been born a few days ago.

The clone tried to rush past William into the portal, but for so reason his body wouldn't move. It was only when Supre Left tried to look down that he noticed he was falling. Or rather, his head was falling to the ground, while the rest of his body remained perfectly still.

"Looks like I had a choice." William said simply as he cleaned the fresh blood off the Sword of Shifting Sands.
