In any case, after moving for two more days, Rain was finally able to see the mountains that in the past were the borders between the magic people and the dragons. The snowstorm only got more troubleso as Rain approached it… they were definitely there and if tried to cross it by air, he would be found.
"I can’t kill them here without alerting all of them as well," Rain thought. "I need a distraction or just dig a tunnel and pass below their barricade."
Without wasting ti, Rain began to dig using his magic.. even though it could be quite fast, it was still very slow without relics and even more so if compared to the speed of Impulse.
Rain considered making a relic to help with that, one that could help with his earth magic, but he decided not to make anything that would make him stand out. He was already waking a fine line while carrying the shield.
"You don’t have to worry about , as long as you don’t use water magic, my Power won’t affect yours and thus, my presence won’t leave any traces behind."

Rain didn’t want to admit that, but it truly made sense… in any case, Rain focused on digging without using anything. If what the shield said was true, relics could leave traces behind, dragons weren’t exactly known for their tracking skills, but Rain decided to be cautious.
At so point, the digging process slowed down a fair bit… even though Rain wasn’t digging the snow, the ground under the mountains was quite hard and Rain assud that it was all thanks to the mana those fuckers had been using over the last one hundred years. "This should be a decent escape route as well," Rain thought and then began to dig upward.
Rain’s anticipation grew as he approached into the uncharted territory, brimming with the excitent of discovery despite the obvious risks of crossing the enemy grounds. However, upon breaching the surface, his exhilaration faded into a perplexed frown as his surroundings failed to align with his expectations.

As Rain erged from the tunnel he dug, he found himself in an unexpected landscape. Instead of the anticipated snow covered terrain of the dragon’s realm, he discovered a lush, vibrant forest sprawling before him. The air was pleasantly warm, the sun casting its golden rays through the canopy of verdant foliage that stretched as far as the eye could see.
"This doesn’t make sense," Rain thought while looking around in confusion.
Rain cautiously stepped out from the tunnel, scanning his surroundings for any signs of danger. The peaceful ambiance of the forest contradicted the image he held of the dragons’ territory—barren, icy, and treacherous.
As he ventured further into the forest, he felt a sense of awe at the natural beauty surrounding him. The serene environnt seed untouched by the chaos and conflict that characterized the lands he had traversed earlier. The absence of any visible presence of the dragons or their influence puzzled Rain even more.
The absence of the expected harsh conditions and the lack of any imdiate threat made Rain’s mind race with questions. Had he miscalculated his location? Or stumbled upon an overlooked, hidden part of the dragon’s domain? From what he recalled, the dragons were born and would spend two decades living by themselves in a rought environnt to make them grow stronger.
The trees were pretty tall, but Rain could fly, so that it wasn’t really an issue… after going up and crossing the trees, Rain turned around and then saw the mountains and the dense snowstorm covering them… so he truly was beyond it.
"Exploring this place like this will be hard," Rain thought. "This is also the territory of the dragon god, so he will probably find if I go to space and use a telescope."
In the midst of this unforeseen and seemingly tranquil environnt within the dragons’ territory, Rain was dealing with the realization that he had limited options. Retreating seed like an act of waste, giving up on the opportunity to gather crucial intelligence or uncover potential secrets hidden within this uncharted territory.
Considering the possible age and wisdom of the dragons, it made sense for them to exercise extre caution, leaving nothing to chance within their domain, but not against the current other species in the world. The nature of these ancient beings likely led them to fortify their borders against so other potential intrusion.
Rain speculated that the dragons’ inherent wariness might have stemd from their long existence and experience in safeguarding their territories against threats, real threats aside from those they picked a fight with.
It was astonishing that the dragons foresaw the possibility of soone daring to invade their lands, only soone insane and yet skilled like Rain would try that. This spoke volus about their strategic thinking and ticulous planning, or perhaps the dragon god’s only.
Moreover, Rain recognized that the absence of visible defenses or overt security asures in this particular area was itself a potential trap. The dragons’ ticulousness might extend to creating deceptive environnts, lulling intruders into a false sense of security before springing unforeseen dangers upon them.
"Let’s se…" Rain said and then turned around. "The other areas seem fine, but there aren’t many places that I can use to hide… even if my domain hides my presence, I can still be seeing. I guess I will use the Water Mirror technique of the water snipers. That should do the trick."
