All of a sudden, the brightness of the room was replaced by a consuming darkness that seed to swallow all light, leaving Rain in an unsettling gloom. As the room dimd, a coldness perated the air, seeping through Rain's skin and evoking an uncomfortable sense of numbness that tingled through his body.
In a disconcerting instance, Rain experienced a flickering awareness—a subtle sensation of his eyelids fluttering, gradually bringing him back to consciousness. With a sudden realization, he beca fully alert and conscious, reorienting himself within the dim, mysterious environnt
"Finally, huh?" Rain thought while looking around and only seeing so shadows in the distance and a massive shadow in front of him. "This is that teor…"
Gradually, as Rain regained consciousness, a bunch of sensations washed over him—sensations that had been absent during his ti in that room. Hunger gnawed at his stomach, a parched sensation filled his throat, and a subtle undercurrent of anxiety rippled through his thoughts. As his awareness heightened, he realized his surroundings—surrounded by a vast expanse of grass around him.
Strangely, the presence of such dense vegetation confused him; considering the impact of the teor, all flora in the area should have been obliterated. Yet, the lush growth indicated that a considerable span of ti had likely passed—perhaps not just years, but even decades—since the cataclysmic event that initially scorched this landscape.
Rain looked above and soon realized that wind wasn't blowing and there weren't starts in the sky… there were no clouds either. When he used Magic Eyes, he soon confird that one hell of a barrier was above him and very little mana was around.
Before he could think of anything else, Rain realized that he was butt naked, at the sa ti, he couldn't find any signs of his remains before. After checking his body, he confird that he looked exactly as he was before… the process had been a success… perhaps too successful.
"If so of my body hadn't escaped being smashed, I wouldn't be here…" Rain thought and then he realized that the finger where his finger was was quite dirty unlike the rest of his body and his bail was insanely long. "... Only this finger escaped? But if I couldn't sense anything… then how?"
Rain barely woke up and he already had tons of questions. Rain made a ntal note to write down all the questions and then erase the questions once he finds an answer…
In any case, based on the mana density on the sky, the barrier was most likely physical and made of Earth magic… considering that, Rain couldn't help but assu that he could possibly on Earth and the Earth that he lived his second life was on a layer of Earth above the old one.
"I guess it is ti to learn what happened before the creation of that layer… I can understand now why I couldn't dig further beyond a certain point to seal the shield," Rain thought.
Just as Rain had expected, the system prevented him from reaching the first layer of the world… Hopefully, it was only the first layer. Rain didn't know if it truly was the only one considering how big the planet was from outer space…
In the end, Rain decided to use the Seals to make everyone understand that he was alive… it was hard to say when he was going to see them again, but that alert should make them feel relieved… or perhaps confusion since many decades passed after that battle.

"My senses here are a ss since I can't sense much mana," Rain thought and then he began to fly.
In the end, Rain to fly and cross five kiloters to reach the ceiling in the sky… it was truly made of Earth and when Rain tried to control it, he failed. He couldn't even scratch it…
Considering that the teor pierced that. It wasn't impossible to destroy it, but the barrier could repair itself, so it would be a hassle…
While looking around, Rain couldn't see anything but a few dark mountains in the distance… his sense of direction was a bit ssy as well, but he could tell that his friends and family were supposed to be south from the capital. Around three kiloters away from the coast… he had to find a way to return to the surface while heading in that direction.
"It would be aweso if I could contact Isa… she would be able to help ," Rain thought while he was trying to find which direction was south. "No, she sounded disappointed the last ti I talked with her and the magic radio was destroyed when I was attacked by the teor dragons."
While Rain was thinking about that… he recalled the shield… maybe that bastard could help him return to the surface. Rain tried to check his presence through the thick barrier, but Rain felt like trying to find water with his hands alone through a massive concrete wall.
"... I will have to choose a direction and follow it," Rain thought after sighing. "Maybe I will find so damaged part on the barrier and I can dig in that point upward."
Rain began to fly south or in the direction that he believed it was south. At so point, he grew tired of only seeing darkness and shadows with minimals amounts of mana, so he summoned a fireball to illuminate the surroundings and another to illuminate the path ahead.
Although Rain was able to see so massive tall grass that was almost ten ters high, he found so knocked down and dry trees in all directions… if grass could grow like that, the trees should be able to survive as well…
"Or maybe it couldn't since this kind of flora didn't adapt…" Rain thought and then touched the fallen trees and then they imdiately turned into dust. "A tree can't be more dead than this, I guess."
Rain didn't have the chance to recognize the tree, so he couldn't say it was from Earth or not, but it sure made it feel like it was since the area around was completely devoid of mana.
