Rain and Seara exchanged greetings with Seadrei, who was seated upon his throne, and it was evident that he had regained a sense of composure quite a bit. The incident that had transpired earlier seed to have been set aside, and there was an air of calm about him.

With these initial pleasantries exchanged, Rain and Seara made their way to the library, leaving Seadrei behind. Their destination was the repository of knowledge and secrets of the sea folk, a place that held answers and information that would be invaluable in their ongoing quest to understand the whole situation. Before long, Seadir joined them.

"I guess this is a simple way to help you, but it isn't very efficient," Seadir said.

The library within the underwater castle was a place like no other. Its shelves were lined with countless tos, scrolls, and tablets, all ticulously preserved and categorized. The wealth of information contained within these ancient docunts spanned a wide range of topics, from history and magic to culture and sciences of the sea folk.

The room was a veritable treasure trove of accumulated wisdom, and the shelves seed to stretch on endlessly. The tos held the records of generations, the scrolls contained intricate spells and incantations, and the tablets bore inscriptions from long-forgotten eras.

In this sanctuary of knowledge, the sea folk had preserved their history and heritage, making it a repository of both their past and their potential future.

Fortunately, they were divided by topics, so Rain was able to find things quite easily. He started with history and with the oldest books that had been written by the sea folk.

The sea folk's recorded history begins with the founding of their capital and underwater castle by the first Sea Emperor. These monuntal achievents marked the establishnt of their civilization beneath the waves, a place where they could thrive and prosper. At first, they only had a few thousands of them, but they quickly began to multiply.

After the last devastating war that had claid many lives, the sea folk entered into an era of relative peace. The scars of the conflict still lingered, and the sea folk chose to focus on rebuilding and growing a sense of unity among their people. At that ti, the sea emperor made coral spears of imnse power and gave them to their most trusty generals.

One distinguishing feature of the sea folk's history is their use of a different calendar system. Unlike the human records, their years were counted differently, resulting in a shorter tiline. Their written history spans around thirty thousand years, marking significant events, achievents, and challenges. Unlike human history, which has fifty thousand years of history.

During this period of peace, the sea folk's culture flourished. They delved into the arts, magic, and the sciences, resulting in an impressive body of knowledge and creativity. Politics began to expand as well since they had to make things work more efficiently… it helped at first, but now was more of a nuisance.

"Is it.weird that I think that we are quite self centered as species?" Seara asked when she finally learned of those events.

"This doesn't surprise , you guys lived in isolation for far too long," Rain said. "Still, for you to not know that until now…"

"It can't be helped, history is boring," Seara said.

"You think so?" Rain frowned. "I think that it is quite interesting to see how things were before you were born and how it changed over ti."

Photographs weren't a thing in that world, but Rain couldn't help but think that he could make so money by making so caras in that world. The most simpler ones can be made with so magic tricks… maybe it was just him, but he felt quite curious when he was on Earth and he had the chance to see old photos of his neighborhood.

Seeing the old ones that showed when the areas had few houses was particularly interesting.

In any case, while Rain didn't read all the books about history there, he spent one day reading the titles to have an idea what happened in their history… unfortunately, the sea folk was truly self centered and they only had things about themselves and they didn't write a single thing about the world before the war thirty thousand years ago…

"They didn't ntion that, but around that ti, the giant beasts were terrorizing the world… I guess they decided to start their history from that point since they didn't like what ca before," Rain thought.

On the second day, Rain did so research about magic, but he only learned a few tricks about water magic. Most things they taught, he knew how to do it…

Rain's exploration of the sea folk's magic tos and books revealed to him a fascinating aspect of their unique magic system. While the sea folk did enjoy eating and had a rich culinary tradition, it wasn't a revelation that their magic could actually serve as a source of essential nutrients, but the trick was interesting.

Through his studies, Rain learned how to harness the power of water magic to absorb vital nutrients directly into his body. This not only offered him a deeper understanding of the sea folk's abilities but also provided him with a practical advantage… what if he could do the inverse on the enemies?

For the sea folk, living off water magic was a natural part of their existence. It ant that they could sustain themselves even in the absence of conventional food sources.

Aside from that, Rain learned how to save mana using the mana on the ocean. It was a simple trick, he just had to use his mana to control the water in a large area, but not the water inside the area. Once he obtains control over that, the mana on the environnt would follow his will… it was similar to what he used to control weather ten years ago in order to save mana and get more experiece.
