It was much better to just create the tools that they needed and make them work that they were supposed to while the experints were ongoing...
"They all obtained that power at the sa ti..." Rain rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Is that a coincidence? Can’t be... coincidences don’t exist in situations like that. This needs further investigation, but I have the feeling that the answers won’t co to that easily. Even if I check all their knowledge as well..."
They didn’t find anything or anyone around them, they didn’t even try to check their surroundings... they only wanted to improve their abilities to do their experints, so soon they returned to their old forms and stayed like that for a few more thousand years.

Ateros researched over the tangible elents and substances that compose the universe. Its expertise lies in the manipulation and transformation of matter, facilitating experints related to particle physics, chemistry, and material sciences.

"Hmm, it seems that they are making progress at the sa pace... even though they were doing research on fields that were different from each other," Rain thought. "How is that possible? I guess by that ti, they didn’t try to outspeed each other and their personalities hadn’t developed that much either."
"There is sothing weird about this..." Elisabetha said. "Those crystals should have been their original bodies, so how co they had that much processing power."
"... No, I don’t think that their bodies were like that from the beginning," Rain said after he crossed his arms. "It didn’t show or told here yet, but their bodies were sothing else. It wasn’t supposed to be like a machine that we know of or can even begin to think about."
Considering what he knew, Rain imagined that the machine gods had the power to transfer their consciousness to everything that they themselves had created... However, the new bodies were worse than the old ones, so that hindered their work and made them return to their old bodies.
Eventually, Arel was able to use corrupt energy to create better bodies for them using those crystals... it was a weird choice, but since their goal was research, it made sense.
"It still doesn’t show their original bodies..." Rain thought. "I don’t think that Loks lost or deleted that kind of information out of his own mory... so..."
That was suspicious... but Rain already had too many things in his head to worry about, so he decided to forget about that ti for the ti being. Because the next part of the knowledge was quite interesting.

"Although they can affect each other negatively, I guess they can also help each other," Rain thought. "From this point onward, they began to do experints on a large scale, and soon they left their original location."
They needed more access to the aspects, so they expanded their territory. Thanks to that, Rain was able to learn that their initial location was... a stone temple in the middle of a planet devoid of anything. It was the epicenter of their territory... a single lonely planet who knows how many light years away from the others.

The nature of the machine gods was slowly being revealed... not like Rain was expecting anything else. They only wanted more knowledge to affect the reality around them and once they did that, they would expand more their territory to do more experints on a larger scale. Rinse and repeat.
"They don’t know anything about their creation... Maybe they are experinting with the aspects to learn that as well," Rain said.
"What if their creator is the sa being that gave you and the dragon god the chance to reincarnate in the future?" Elisabetha asked.
"... I guess we can’t rule that out," Rain said.
