The powerful punch on Rain's temple left him montarily disoriented, seeing stars as the world spun around him. The dizziness threatened to engulf his senses, but Rain eventually gritted his teeth and endured the discomfort. The pain was fleeting, and he knew he needed to recover quickly to counter Sealyn's relentless assault.
In that brief mont of vulnerability, Rain instinctively raised his guard and focused on steadying himself. He felt a sense of frustration within, realizing that he had fallen for a rather obvious trick. The temptation to sigh at his oversight lingered, but Rain suppressed it. There was no room for self-pity in the midst of a fierce battle.
Instead, he acknowledged the need to learn from his mistakes, vowing to be more vigilant in the face of Sealyn's unpredictable tactics.
Rain readied himself for what ca next as the world around him gradually stabilized. Despite the montary surprise, he remained resolute and determined. Sealyn, undeterred by Rain's recovery, continued her sequence of attacks…
In the next mont, Sealyn hit Rain with a double palm strike. Even though he blocked this ti, Rain was still pushed in the opposite direction… when he turned his head, he saw Sealyn there, and she delivered another double kick with her legs that raised him upward. As if she had watched too much DBZ, soon she was above as well and hit Rain with her two harms, swinging them down like a hamr.
"I am not a tennis ball," Rain said as he blocked the attack with his arms.
Despite his defense, Rain was sent spiraling downward. Sohow, he landed on his feet, but his legs cried a bit thanks to the pain of the impact… he tried to bend them to absorb the impact, but that could only do so much.
Sealyn fell a bit far away with her guard up and proceeded to study Rain a bit more… he certainly suffered damage… his mouth was bleeding a bit, and his arms had blue marks on them… unlike Kei, she wasn't going to let his poker face fool her. He was in pain and suffered damage, whether he liked it or not.
"I have to keep attacking, can't let him keep surprising with his unorthodox and nurous fighting styles," Selayn thought.
Sealyn charged again, and she was surprised to see Rain jumping backward… the image that she had from his father was of soone who never retreated, even if just staying behind seed like the most retarded answer. Still, she was surprised again when Rain suddenly stopped in midair with his arms up.
As if he were touching sothing, he hit the air with a double palm strike that propelled him downward and toward Sealyn.
The diagonal kick landed on the ground and made fissures appear on the ring… Sealyn dodged it by moving to the side since she couldn't tell what would happens when her father uses those weird moves.
At that point in ti, it was fair to assu that Rain didn't truly need things like footing when he was fighting. That was a bit hard to deal with since, even without magic, he could fight on the ground and in the air.
Sealyn couldn't hide a groan of annoyance as she witnessed Rain's unorthodox and seemingly gravity-defying moves. Despite being physically stronger than Rain, she found herself frustrated by his ability to execute such maneuvers with sheer brute strength, using his larger body to his advantage.
It annoyed her that, even though she possessed greater strength, Rain's unique fighting style and tactical brilliance allowed him to turn the tables in such ways.
The annoyance ca not just from the fact that Rain was her father but also because it seed like he wasn't deploying his best arsenal of abilities. Sealyn pondered the possibility of achieving similar feats with enough training, but doubts lingered. Her hands were thin and small compared to Rain's, raising uncertainties about her capacity to replicate these powerful moves.
While Sealyn remained stronger overall, the feeling of being overpowered by soone seemingly weaker, yet more skilled, got her competitive spirit. It was an irritating realization that Rain, despite not relying on what could be considered his "best weapons," could still pose a formidable challenge.
"She is still such a child…" Seara said while seeing Sealyn's eyebrows twitching.
"Well, since it is like that, I won't let you use your weapons," Sealyn thought.
Even if she couldn't do so things in the air, there were things that she could do on land. Being smaller was also an advantage was. Her higher strength would be more effective since her body had fewer restrictions.
Sealyn showed that by suddenly kicking the ground with all her might. Rain raised her guard, but soon Sealyn's body turned, and then it beca an afterimage that passed through him. When Rain looked in the other direction, he saw Sealyn charging once more…
Rain raised his guard, but the sa thing happened again… At that point in ti, Rain realized that he was in trouble. Sealyn was finally going to use her full power, and Rain couldn't do a single thing if he couldn't even see her.
Rain's eyes widened as he found himself surrounded by countless afterimages, each mirroring Sealyn's ready-to-charge stance. The border of the ring seed to blur with the sheer speed of her movents, creating an overwhelming illusion of countless Sealyns ready to charge at him.
His training and experience had given him the ability to create afterimages. Still, it was limited to a specific technique and a short range. Now, facing Sealyn's full power, Rain struggled to distinguish between the real Sealyn and her afterimages. The arena beca a chaotic dance of blurred movents, leaving Rain unable to pinpoint the real threat.
Caught off guard, Rain raised his guard instinctively, his senses on high alert. However, the unpredictability of Sealyn's movents made it nearly impossible for him to anticipate her attacks. At that mont, Rain realized the gravity of the situation… he was in real trouble.
