Elisabetha was with Jori, and Larissa was with Terra, so they would warn them to be careful… Rain didn't have to approach them and warn them about the danger. He didn't have the ti to do so anyways because soon the giant robots began their attack.

A new volley of bullets was fired and Rain dodged them with Impulse, but soon they exploded when they hit the ground and began to emit a green cloud… it was only obvious to be poison, but Rain didn't expect to see such a color, it was weird if anything.

The volley of attacks soon began to spread across the area and decrease the visibility. The enemies were attacking with that in mind, but there was sothing off… soon Rain learned what was off when he tried to use wind magic and nothing happened. The wind dispersed as soon as it reached the poison.

"Well, aren't they prepared?" Nigel asked. "By the way, aren't you worried that the others might brainwash your friends or sothing? You think I can do that, and my magic is just to make others get wet."

"Yeah, I am sure you can," Rain said. "Now shut up."

Rain charged in toward the nearest giant robot, and the creature began to fire even more bullets. Punching those would be easy, but Rain didn't want to take any chances. Rain easily sidestepped those, and the giant robot took flight and began to move backward… when Rain looked to the side, he saw others moving to where Terra and the others were.

"Annoying assholes…" Rain said and then slowed down.

The enemies turned to face Rain and bombarded him with more bullets of poison gas, but their barrage missed. Still, it didn't take long until all of the area was covered in a thick layer of green mist. Rain couldn't see the enemies anymore. He could only hear the sound of them taking flight.

"Rain, you have two options," Maxi said. "You either make use of the poison to disappear and surprise the enemies and burn it all. In the case of combustible gases, controlled burning may be used to safely eliminate the gas. This process is known as flaring. This is commonly done in the oil and gas industry to burn off excess or unwanted gases in a controlled manner."

"You suddenly are talking like Sakaki… trying to show off the knowledge that others don't have," Rain furrowed his eyebrows.

"Whatever, anyway," Maxi added. "Fire can be used to decontaminate certain surfaces and materials that have been exposed to toxic substances. High temperatures can help break down or neutralize so hazardous chemicals. I would bet that this mist has that."

As Rain navigated the toxic haze, he couldn't help but find it odd that Maxi, typically a man of few words, was offering such detailed insights. It was unusual to hear him speak so much, but Rain acknowledged that the circumstances forced it. The enemies were adapting and revealing the extent of their technological prowess.

The thought crossed Rain's mind that surprising the enemies might be feasible, but the real challenge lay in eliminating them swiftly before reinforcents arrived. The base was undoubtedly equipped to respond quickly to any threats, and Rain couldn't afford to underestimate their capabilities.

In the midst of the poison mist, Rain pondered his next move. Using the poison to his advantage for a surprise attack or attempting to neutralize it through controlled burning. Either way, he needed to act quickly and decisively to maintain the upper hand in this high-stakes battle.

Rain grabbed the hamr and then used fire magic to burn everything around. He summoned three fire tornadoes that began to spin around and consu the mist around him. Quite fast, the flas began to move away from Rain, and he didn't even have ti to feel the heat.

"As expected, the gas was only strong against wind magic," Maxi said. "It would have been a hassle if they had made it resistant to more than one elent."

"Well, aren't you happy?" Nigel asked.

The mist began to dissipate enough for Rain to see the giant robots stop moving and look at him again. Before long, they hit the bases of the fire tornadoes with their bullets, and that made them lose power… it was only a matter of ti before all of them would disappear.

"Well, do you want to play?" Rain asked.

Rain infused the tornadoes with more mana, and then their sizes began to increase exponentially. To the point that even the tal on the ground began to lt… When Rain saw that, he made the tornadoes chase the giant robots in order to lt them, but the enemies moved away. He was fine with that as well, they needed more ti than anything, after all.

"Aren't we supposed to attack them?" Terra asked when he returned, and soon Jori joined them as well.

"It is a bit unexpected, but it seems that we can use fire against them," Rain said.

"We can't create fire at that level if that is what you want," Jori said. "I am still terrible at magic."

"It is cool, just give so ti," Rain said. "Give so of your potions."

Rain had brought so potions as well, so they wondered why he wasn't using his… Still, they decided not to question him for now and see what happens. In the end, Rain just used that mana to create red gems, the sa that the Gemini tribe could use and then broke them when he touched the sword and the gloves.

In the next mont, flas erupted on those weapons, and although the flas turned from red to orange and then blue… Terra and Jori didn't feel any heat coming from them…
