The group split up after telling to each other that they should return in one hour to the nearest tower if they didn't find anything. While it wasn't enough ti to investigate that humongous construction, it would be enough to give them a good feel of the area.

In any case, Rain began to fly around while keeping his eyes on the nests of the ice dragons… he couldn't think that there was oxygen in there, but there was still a small chance that they laid their eggs there, and considering their cold-blooded nature, it wouldn't be weird if they also left them there.

"I wonder if those twenty ice dragons ca from here… Maybe not, since they arrived only after a few days after that battle on the demi-human territory," Rain thought.

In any case, Rain found only empty nesks, no signs of feathers or scales as well… not like the ice dragons were like birds who would leave feathers behind like nothing else. That being said, the concentration of mana on the nests was high.

"How their magic and nature can affect the nature so much… is it because they lived in those places for hundreds of years?" Rain asked.

Sakaki explained that dragons, especially those like the ice dragons, had a natural inclination to use their magical abilities, such as Dragon Rage, to mold their surroundings according to their preferences. It wasn't rely a response to ergencies; instead, it was an inherent part of their behavior and survival strategy.

"It's not just about adapting to imdiate threats. Dragons, being magical creatures with a powerful connection to the elents, tend to shape their habitats over extended periods. It's a way for them to create environnts that align with their elental nature and facilitate their needs," Sakaki explained.

Rain contemplated this information as he continued to scan the vast icy landscape below. He could tell that they liked to change things at insane scales, but it was hard to believe that just using Dragon Rage would be enough to create such a place… most likely, they either used their ice blasts to freeze everything over, or they carved out the surroundings for many years.

"Still… sohow, this place gives the feeling that it was created by a single entity," Rain said while looking around.

"... You might be right. Maybe it was a dragon god that had nine heads, and all of them were heads of ice dragons," Larisa said.

"Putting that aside, why is it called Dragon Rage when the dragons have different sins?" Nigel asked. "In their case, it wouldn't be Dragon's Pride."

"... He has a point," Rain furrowed his eyebrows. "As much as it hurts , do admit it."

"It is just nad like that because they roar. It isn't related to Wrath," Sakaki said.

Dragon's Rage was actually pretty similar to the power of the domains, but the domain didn't have elental affinities… at least Rain didn't make him with that purpose. His purpose was to change the system as he saw fit, he still had a long way ahead before that happened, though.

Before long, Rain reached the next tower, thirty kiloters away from the other and stopped at the top of it and took a good look around. It was two kiloters tall, but Rain still couldn't see anything in the distance.

"I reached the next tower, Liss," Rain said via the communication relic. "What about the others?"

"... They didn't find anything either so far," Liss replied after ten seconds. "It seems that the tower is slowing down our communications. Your voice is coming a bit slowly."

Rain nodded while looking at the tower… it seed like sothing made of ice like everything else around, but it looked like those places had more secrets that he had expected. While Rain agreed of not to lt the whole structure soon, he decided to lt the tower and see what happens.

"Nigel would benefit a lot from this mana, given his elental abilities," Sakaki said. "If you all agree, we should let him have this mana to end his purification process."

"I don't feel like it," Vanessa said.

"Why do I have to help this moron?" Elisabetha asked.

"I am fine either way," Larisa shrugged.

"It is up to you, Rain," Nigel said. "Show the power of our brotherhood when they showed the power of the sisterhood."

"Brotherhood, my ass," Rain said and then sighed.

While Rain didn't have to do anything to gain by making Nigel recover all his mories and purify him completely, he was soone who wanted efficiency in everything, so if that was the best option, he had to send the mana to him. Once he was done with that, he wouldn't have to do it anymore, so that would be one less hassle for him.

Rain used the dark scepter and initiated the absorption of mana from the ice structure. As he tapped into the energy, the surrounding environnt started to lt and transform. However, to Rain's surprise, the influx of mana was much greater than anticipated. It wasn't just the tower's energy; it seed to draw from the entire vicinity.

Realizing the potential danger of absorbing too much mana and unintentionally altering the landscape beyond control, Rain decided to halt the process before any irreversible consequences occurred. He quickly ceased the absorption, allowing the ice to stabilize. The sudden surge of power had brought a glimpse of the vast magical potential residing within the frozen continent.

Still, he could tell that so parts of it began to crack…

"Uh-oh, how am I going to explain this to the others?" Rain asked.

"You should continue… there is sothing in the tower that is a part of the area, that is like a core of it," Sakaki said. "The surroundings might end up being destroyed, but it won't affect the areas connected to the other towers."

Sakaki had a point, but that mission wasn't only sothing that Rain was doing alone… if the situation escalates, then he might cause so trouble to the others…
