"The overseer?" Rain furrowed his eyebrows. "The teleport guy?"

"Since you have found , you probably have t him, even I cannot interact with him that much and the last ti happened when he ca to for the knowledge of the system we created," Zeus said. "It was around the ti our ti was finally running out. Even before we realized our defeat, he had realized it and decided to make sure that our loss wouldn't be useless."

"Who the hell is he?" Rain asked.

"I don't know, that is why I call him the overseer," Zeus said. "He is soone that can't act directly, but he is on our side… in theory. To so extent. Anyway, I don't have all that much information about him either, since I am also suffering from the magic decay."

"A lot of weird things are being thrown around when you open your mouth," Nigel said.

"You should have realized by now, a spirit can't live without a proper body without becoming a true spirit," Zeus said. "As such, you keep losing your essence. The spell to transfer spirit into tools was almost perfect, and it could make us exist for as long as it existed mana in our planet, but I stayed behind while everyone else went to fight.

As such, you ended up locked and sealed, and that speed up your magic decay. You lost your mories and got closer to reaching your true death and becoming almost like dragons. That was possible since you all had obtained power through the blood of the dragons, after all."

The gravity of Zeus's words weighed heavily on everyone present. The revelation that their continued use of the dark tal, while granting them incredible power, was also the source of their deteriorating condition left them all in a state of confusion.

The dark tal was infused with the magic of the sins, and its constant exposure was taking a toll on their spirits, causing a gradual decay of both power and mories.

It beca clear that the very source of their strength was a double-edged sword, corrupting their beings from within. Elisabetha's ominous appearance, with her body overtaken by the corrupt power of the dragons despite retaining so of her human form, now made sense. The deep blue eyes that seed to pierce through the darkness were the only remnants of her forr self.

The weight of the revelation hung in the air, and the group began to grasp the severity of the situation. The dark tal, ant to empower them, was simultaneously eroding their essence, bringing them closer to a fate similar to the dragons they had once sought to defeat.

The irony was stark — the very power they had gained to fight against the dragons was now turning them into sothing akin to the very creatures they had sought to vanquish.

"Talk about becoming monsters to kill monsters…" Vanessa said.

"My situation is different, even though I wasn't sealed, I had to maintain this place while also being made of the dark tal," Zeus said. "A mind and spirit needs to rest as well, and I didn't have ti for that."

"So, you have been online all this ti without being able to do anything?" Rain asked. "Overworking without getting any results, that is basically the synonyms of insanity."

"Well, while I didn't get many results, I had almost unlimited amount of ti to improve my domain, and you can see the result by yourself," Zeus said.

"Congrats, now shut up," Rain said. "Talking with you guys is so exhausting… it also makes feel like I am the person I was before."

"That isn' because of us, it is because of your own situation," Zeus said while showing a serious expression. "Even I can't explain how co a soul from the past ca to the future without knowing that sothing would happen that would cause the end of the human species.

Nevertheless, I can tell that you act like that because you have a connection to the past and the you from this ti was supposed to be another person. Maybe the original spirit on your body left for so unknown reasons, but it left so residuous that changed you over ti."

As Rain began his instrospection, he reflected on the profound changes in his character throughout his ti in that world. Initially a quiet and focused individual, he attributed much of his disciplined nature to the formative years spent as a child. The challenges and experiences he encountered shaped him into a person singularly devoted to personal strength and growth.

However, as Zeus attempted to explain Rain's reincarnation, it beca clear that the factors influencing his existence were more intricate than a re result of growing up.

The uncertainty surrounding his sudden appearance in the future and the subtle shifts in his personality left Rain with a realization that perhaps only the overseer held the key to understanding the complexities of his own existence.

The enigmatic overseer, a figure shrouded in mystery, seed to be the missing link, holding the answers to the questions that escaped even Zeus… Still, if that guy would be as much of a pain as all the other relics, perhaps it wouldn't be worth the hassle solving that mystery.

"How much of the past you still rember?" Rain asked.

"I registered everything once I confird the existence of the phenona as magical decay," Zeus said and then made several selves appear around the area. "If you prove worthy to have , you can obtain all this knowledge. Unfortunately, I have to warn you that I don't have all the answers and you will need to be tested as well."

"I wasn't expecting a lot from you, anyway," Rain shrugged.

"All right, we can start," Zeus said and then summoned a bunch of books. "Your first test is to read all the volus of one piece and tell the best monts of the entire series. If I approve of it, you can take the second test."
