"Wuuu—"
Being ridden by two human females was a great sha and humiliation for the Blood Grinding Beast, yet it dared not defy Le Cheng’s orders and could only whimper softly to express its discontent.
"Alright, let’s set off. Giddy up!"
Not until Le Cheng gave it a firm pat on its iron back did the Blood Grinding Beast start to sprint with its limbs.
"Howl!"
The Blood Grinding Beast let out a deep roar as it dashed swiftly. Had it been on muddy ground, the beast might not have stirred much attention, but the ground of the Royal Court was made of bluestone. The sound of its iron hooves upon the stone was exceptionally loud, and coupled with its intermittent roars, it quickly drew attention.
The first to notice were the guards from the lower side of the Abyss Moon Court.
"Holy shit, what’s that? It looks so imposing!"
"Is that a bull?"
"I thought riding was not allowed in the Royal Court, how does he dare?"
"Wait a minute, that looks like the Catastrophe Legion’s Blood Grinding Beast... My God, how did he manage that?!"
"No wonder Brother Gai, indeed, a badass man is cool no matter where he goes."
The onlookers were imdiately shocked, especially upon realizing that the queer mount was from the Catastrophe Legion, they were overwheld with amazent.
Yet Le Cheng felt sothing was missing until soone in the crowd exclaid, and then he realized... oh, it’s the BGM that’s missing.
So, he pressed a button on his belt right away.
"Let’s be comrades in the mortal world, live a dashing life"
"Gallop on the horses, share the splendor of the world"
"Singing along with drinks, expressing the joy in hearts"
"With vigor and passion, grasp the pri of youth"
"There’s even singing?"
By now, the Princes from the upper levels were also alerted; as they erged, they heard Le Cheng singing. Although they couldn’t understand the lyrics, the re lody filled them with an inexplicable surge of enthusiasm, wishing they too could mount a horse and take a lap around the Royal Court.
"Le Cheng, are you singing?"
Guinevere turned her head in surprise; she didn’t rember Caster being able to sing, so it had to be Le Cheng.
"I’m not singing; it’s my belt that’s singing."
"Your belt can sing... wow, soone’s coming!"
As the three of them were riding, suddenly, a squad of soldiers burst out from the front. They were Guards of the Royal Court, coming over to check imdiately, and their expressions changed instantly when they saw what was before them.
"Stop!" The leader shouted imdiately, "The laws of the Empire stipulate that riding is not allowed in the Royal Court, please dismount... a bull?"
The guards were bewildered, riding horses in the Royal Court was one thing, but soone riding a bull?
"Roar!"
While the guards were still stunned, the Blood Grinding Beast had already rushed forward. It was holding a bellyful of rage, and now that soone dared block its path, it wouldn’t stand for it. It charged even faster, attempting to trample these humans into mush.
Fortunately, Le Cheng only wanted to stir up trouble, not to hurt bystanders and pulled the reins just in ti, making the reluctant Blood Grinding Beast change direction, bypassing the guards and heading towards the Inner Court.
It was as if the guards had taken a trip back from the brink; they instinctively broke out in a cold sweat; only then did they finally see clearly.
"That’s not a bull, that’s a Blood Grinding Beast!"
"Why would a Blood Grinding Beast appear in the Royal Court?"
"And those riding on its back seem to be... people?"
"Quick, report to the Forbidden Army and the Catastrophe ssenger, there are three people riding a Blood Grinding Beast into the Inner Court!"
The Blood Grinding Beast, a creature with a fearso reputation within the Catastrophe Legion, was not sothing these ordinary guards could handle. The only ones who could confront it alone were the Forbidden Army and the Catastrophe ssenger.
Three people riding the Blood Grinding Beasts charged into the Inner Court... Why does that sentence sound so bizarre?
Monts later, the Forbidden Army who received the report was also full of question marks.
After all, humans and Blood Grinding Beasts simply couldn’t be effectively linked together; it would be more believable to say that the beasts charged into the Inner Court biting the three individuals.
Of course, even with the unknown circumstances, the discipline of the Forbidden Army prompted them to quickly mobilize.
Soon, Le Cheng and his party were intercepted, and in addition to a fully-ard unit of the Forbidden Army, there were also two Catastrophe ssengers.
With such a lineup, annihilating a single Blood Grinding Beast would be a breeze.
And without the Khorne faith, the fierce nature of the Blood Grinding Beast was quickly suppressed by its survival instincts, growling lowly, not daring to move forward.
[Brave Bull, fear no hardship!]
[Courageous Bull, fear no hardship!]
The sudden voices made the Forbidden Army all change color, what the heck was that noise?
"Stop! This is the Royal Court’s Inner Court, you..."
"Stop, stop, don’t shoot, we’re friendly, don’t shoot!"
Several Forbidden Army soldiers looked ominously at Le Cheng and the Blood Grinding Beast under him, with the atmosphere seemingly tense to the extre. Just then, a figure swiftly dashed out.
The two Catastrophe ssengers quickly recognized the individual, "Anna?"
"Yes, it’s ." Anna perford a rapid stop on her staff in mid-air, then landed on the ground. She smiled and explained to the Forbidden Army soldiers, "It’s a misunderstanding, all a misunderstanding. These three are guests of the Queen and are not invaders. Their entry into the Inner Court was by the summoning of the Queen."
"Guests of the Queen?" Upon hearing this, the Forbidden Army’s attitude softened slightly, but they still sternly said, "Even if they have been invited by the Queen, galloping within the Royal Court still violates the Empire’s law. The law is rciless; they must be punished."
"This..." Anna was montarily at a loss for words.
Seeing Anna speechless, Le Cheng remained calm and smilingly asked, "Could you please tell which law of the Empire I’ve violated?"
The Forbidden Army replied, "Empire law, Chapter five, article twenty-nine: except during warti, no one is allowed to gallop within the Royal Court."
"So, does Empire law also state that one cannot ride a Blood Grinding Beast to gallop within the Royal Court?"
"Uh..."
Le Cheng spread his hands, "Clearly, I’m not riding a horse but a Blood Grinding Beast, so I haven’t violated any Empire laws."
"..."
The Forbidden Army soldiers looked at each other, speechless for a mont.
Indeed, how to judge soone riding a Blood Grinding Beast and galloping within the Royal Court?
They were the Emperor’s Forbidden Army and would strictly enforce the laws of the Empire, but this wasn’t written in the laws... No wait, who the hell rides a Blood Grinding Beast? Is there even a need to include such a thing in the laws?
Seeing their embarrassed faces, Anna could hardly keep from laughing, but she acted as the peacemaker on the surface, assuaging them, "Alright, since the Empire has no rule against riding a Blood Grinding Beast, it ans no law has been broken. Although his actions were sowhat inappropriate, it was in response to the Queen’s urgent summoning. Let’s all step back and consider this matter resolved."
Saying this, she quietly winked at Le Cheng.
Le Cheng got the hint. He wasn’t trying to cause trouble on purpose; he just knew that given Morgan’s temperant, she probably wouldn’t et with him again anyti soon, so he had to use so unconventional thods to force a summoning. Now that Anna had arrived, his goal was achieved and he was more than willing to step back.
"It’s all my fault for being hasty, after all, a summon from the Queen can’t be ignored. I apologize to everyone, let’s not take this to heart, brothers."
Watching Le Cheng dismount from the Bull and apologize, the Forbidden Army also recognized that this matter had co to an end. Although they were strict enforcers of the law, they weren’t completely inflexible and thus, they bowed slightly, voiced their apology for the offense, and then awkwardly left.
When they had gone far enough, a Forbidden Army soldier suddenly said.
"I think the Empire’s laws should add a clause in the future, prohibiting riding Blood Grinding Beasts to gallop within the Royal Court, to prevent others from exploiting loopholes."
"Shut up, who has the ability to ride a Blood Grinding Beast?"
"That guy just now did."
"I don’t know how he managed it, but I know if soone really adds that law, they’ll definitely be nailed to the pillar of sha of the Empire."
