"Divine Envoy, how did your discussion with the Queen go?"
"We had a great talk! The Queen was so delighted to see , she even said she wanted to treat well. But I told her, we’re all family here, there’s no need for such elaborate ceremonies, we should just treat each other like family."
"Of course, Divine Envoy, you are a distinguished guest after all."
"Don’t be so formal, we’re family now."
"You are right..."
Seeing Le Cheng’s sincere expression, the Catastrophe ssenger was quite moved. According to Anna, the god that this Divine Envoy worships is one of the Supre Gods, comparable to Khorne, and he is the only Divine Envoy, which makes him extrely distinguished. If this world could gain the protection of that god, then the status of the Divine Envoy would be no less than that of the Empire’s Emperor.
She had been sowhat worried that such a prominent figure might be arrogant and difficult to get along with, but now she realized she was overly concerned. Although the Divine Envoy did have so peculiarities, he was approachable from all aspects... Indeed, a gentle god, and His chosen Divine Envoy is also warm and kind.
"By the way, do you know what the Queen likes? After all, it’s our first eting, and I ca in a hurry, without preparing any gifts."
"Likes... I’m not very clear about that as I don’t serve the Queen specifically, but you could ask Anna. She is a child adopted by the Queen, almost like a half-disciple to her. They are quite close, so she might have so insights."
"I see, then let’s head back to where Caster is staying first."
"Alright, I’ll lead the way."
Eventually, Le Cheng was still chased out by Morgan, as for Morgan, the scene in the Crystal Ball was simply too much to bear. Not just for Morgan, a lofty Queen, but probably for any ordinary girl, it would have been unacceptable.
However, Le Cheng felt quite innocent; after all, prophecies are just prophecies, and how could he be blad for things he had never done.
Perhaps... it was Morgan who seduced him?
Of course, smart people wouldn’t choose to reason with an angry woman, especially since Morgan also had considerable combat capabilities, so Le Cheng obediently scrambled away.
Monts later, the Catastrophe ssenger led Le Cheng to Caster’s residence – the Abyss Moon Court.
This place was originally a temporary residence for the Catastrophe ssengers, but it had been cleared out for the princes arriving from around the world to participate in the King Selection Ceremony. The entire Abyss Moon Court was divided into two sections, with the princes residing in the upper section and the guards accompanying the princes staying in the lower section.
Veterans like Edward were currently staying in the lower section of the Abyss Moon Court.
After bringing Le Cheng there, the Catastrophe ssenger left directly.
Caster and Guinevere were staying in a courtyard house—it was modest but still looked spacious and comfortable. As soon as they heard Le Cheng’s voice, they both rushed out.
"Mr. Le Cheng, thank goodness you’re alright."
Le Cheng looked at Caster’s overly worried face and curiously asked, "What could have happened to ?"
Guinevere ca over and said, "You just went to see Queen Morgan."
"Oh, what about it?"
Guinevere glanced around sneakily, making sure no one was around, then mysteriously said, "We just heard soone say that Queen Morgan is a very serious person, and she has a bad temper, especially these past few days. She’s been inexplicably losing her temper a lot, and many have suffered. Caster was really worried that you might have carelessly angered Queen Morgan with your nonsense."
Le Cheng: "..."
Now that she ntioned it, Caster’s concern was not unreasonable; Morgan had been in a bad mood recently, and he indeed had to shoulder so of the bla.
Of course, in such matters, Le Cheng would certainly not admit it, "Where did you hear such rumors? It’s nonsense. From my point of view, Morgan is a very nice woman. She’s not only beautiful and generous but also incredibly pure and shy. As a Queen, she truly is comndable."
Guinevere gasped, her mouth agape, "You even call the Queen by her na directly?"
"What’s the big deal? You also call by my na directly," Le Cheng retorted with a glance.
Guinevere, realizing this, thought it made so sense, but replied, "But she is the Queen after all, a person of high status."
"Morgan is noble, does that make vulgar? As a Divine Envoy, even if I’m not above her, at least I’m of equal status... but, I don’t mind being beneath her if she has good skills."
Caster sighed internally at Le Cheng’s comnt about ’being above or below’, not understanding what he ant.
Guinevere, however, understood and, blushing, glared at Le Cheng and scolded, "Pervert! Indecent!"
Caster was even more puzzled; huh? Weren’t they discussing status? How did it beco indecent and perverted?
Please, talk about sothing I can understand.
Le Cheng just smiled, gladly accepting Guinevere’s ’complints’, and said, "Let’s get back to what we were discussing; where did you hear about this matter regarding Morgan?"
Finally, it was sothing Caster could understand; he eagerly answered, "It was those princes in the Abyss Moon Court who told us. Before, Uncle Gawain had brought us here, and also chatted with those princes for a while."
"They even talk to you about such things, huh? It seems you have a good relationship with them."
