"Of course, please." Gawain smiled and nodded, and said to the knight beside him to take the players aboard the Flying Airship.

Before that, the players had officially accepted Caster’s commission. For Gawain, they were Caster’s original crew, and with Le Cheng, the Divine Envoy, such a small request was naturally not refused.

Among the seven players, only Le Cheng did not head towards the Flying Airship. His gaze was drawn to the sky not far away, where a Catastrophe ssenger was rapidly flying towards them. She wore a high hat and a black robe, her attire filled with Witch style, a wild wind howling around her as she flew.

Gawain whispered to him, "That is Haima. Her ability is Wind Control. Unlike Anna, a newly-erged witch, her power ranks in the top ten even among the Catastrophe ssengers."

"How does she compare to you?"

"...Not inferior to ."

Earning such an evaluation from Gawain, this Haima’s strength must indeed be strong.

"Miss Haima, long ti no see."

Soon, as the witch approached, Gawain smiled at her.

"Captain Gawain, I knew with your skills, you wouldn’t perish in such a place." Haima lifted her hat’s brim, chuckling. She had attractive features, but there were already a few wrinkles around her cheeks, clearly of considerable age.

"Haha, thanks to your good words, I nearly did die."

Le Cheng always felt these two were bantering with so underlying tension.

"I heard you encountered a large number of converts here, so I put down my work and hurried over, hoping to bail you out. After all, if you had carelessly died here, my poor apprentice would be widowed, what a pity..." Haima laughed, shaking her head. It was unclear whether she pitied that Gawain hadn’t died or what.

However, Le Cheng roughly understood the conflict between the two.

Witches in this world do not live long, but still survive longer than ordinary people, generally living past a hundred years, provided witches maintain their purity - that is, remaining unmarried, chaste, and childless.

Once a witch marries and has children, it becos difficult to enhance their power further and their lifespan will be relatively reduced.

Helena from two hundred years ago was the most powerful witch back then. When she married Sigma at age forty-odd, she still looked like a seventeen or eighteen-year-old girl. Had she remained single, perhaps she could have lived another hundred years, but as it turned out, she only lived for forty more years.

In other words, Helena sacrificed her lifespan to seek a better path for other witches.

Clearly, Haima’s apprentice must also be a witch, which is the cause of Haima’s dissatisfaction as she had married Gawain.

Initially also bantering, Gawain, upon hearing about his wife, couldn’t help but show a hint of guilt on his face.

Seeing this, Haima shook her head, dropped the fake smile, and said seriously, "Captain Gawain, I am the leader of this rescue mission, please explain the situation."

"Yes." Gawain also quickly straightened up, and elaborated on the events that had unfolded in Hinamizawa village, not concealing anything about Le Cheng, the Divine Envoy, instead subtly exaggerating his contributions.

"A Divine Envoy?"

Haima glanced at Le Cheng in surprise, then continued, "How is the investigation in the village progressing?"

Gawain responded, "I have led the accompanying knights in a detailed investigation. We can basically conclude that this village is one of the converts’ strongholds, but no other clues or external communication thods were found."

"I see. Then there’s no need to waste more manpower. Let this land of sin disappear completely."

Saying so, Haima faced Hinamizawa village and began to levitate.

"Wild winds, submit to !"

In an instant, several tornadoes ford in front of her, sweeping towards the village, grinding countless houses and buildings into dust. Soon, the village was reduced to ruins.

Seeing this scene, Le Cheng looked at Gawain in surprise, "Not inferior to you?"

Gawain blushed slightly, explaining, "Witches always have high offense but low defense. As long as I can withstand her first wave of attacks and get close to her, she is definitely no match for ."

"Can you handle it?"

"...Triple the strength and I can handle it."

"Keep bragging then!"

Le Cheng understood that the so-called Witches were essentially super soldiers. Their only flaw was their scarcity; they couldn’t form an army of significant size. Gawain’s claim of "no worse than " was rely to boost his own ego. Even if Gawain could truly outperform Haima at triple his strength, he couldn’t maintain that state at all tis, while Haima’s destructive power was simply overwhelming compared to him.

That said, if an ordinary Witch was already so powerful, then how strong would Morgan, the leader of the Witches, be?

Suddenly, Le Cheng developed a keen interest in Morgan, the Queen.

After the incident in Hinamizawa Village concluded, everyone boarded the Flying Airships and officially headed towards the Imperial Capital.

These two Flying Airships could accommodate four to five hundred people. Besides the individuals from Hinamizawa Village, there were also so rescue team knights and two Catastrophe ssengers leaving with them.

These knights weren’t actually part of the rescue team; they were insurance against the converts. They arrived with the rescue team, but since the converts and Catastrophe Legion had been annihilated, there was no need for them to stay. Though it was a trip in vain, the knights harbored no complaints.

After all, if there had been a battle against the converts, casualties were inevitable. If every mission could end with "no achievents but no losses," then it was a blessing in disguise.

However, Haima remained in the snowy area. She would wait until the repair team fixed the Magic Energy Train before returning to the Imperial Capital with the rescue team.

Although the Flying Airships had the advantage of air travel, they were relatively slower compared to the Magic Energy Train. It wasn’t until two days later at noon that a majestic city ca into view — the Imperial Capital Sigma!

This world had a very straightforward naming style. An "Empire" was simply called the Empire, without any prefix, while the Imperial Capital was directly nad after the founding Emperor, Sigma.

The Capital Sigma was located on a vast highland plain. The entire city-state was huge and magnificent, protected by city walls over a dozen ters high, even equipped with nurous cannons. Every five ters a cannon was installed, capable both of anti-air and ground attacks.

Also, surrounding the capital were scattered buildings linked by four Magic Energy Tracks.

Now, in winter, the climate was cold and snowflakes danced. Under the vast white snow, the entire capital was dyed a vast white color. From a distance, it looked like a land of ice and snow, a unique and fascinating sight.

At this mont, it was also precisely the seventh day since the players had arrived in this world.

Having left the closed instance of Hinamizawa Village, they were about to enter the center of this world. The long-awaited information for the players arrived as scheduled.

"Crap, free attribute points!"

"Crap, a rare Magic Box!"

As they saw the rewards for the chain quest, the veteran players all gasped in astonishnt; it seed as though the whole world had ward a bit.

But Le Cheng was puzzled, "What’s a Magic Box?"

Yaya explained, "It’s a type of lottery item, and also a special kind of currency."
