Upon seeing the dense joint forces from the sea, land, and air, both the enemy and our sides were stunned, even Le Cheng, when he saw an airplane the size of a palm fly over his head, a brief look of astonishnt appeared on his face.

Yes, although it’s unclear why, Yaya*Joan*Iskander*Yaya summoned through the Innate Barrier this most terrifying steel torrent in human history, causing a fundantal reverse in numbers between the two sides, but this torrent of steel was quite miniaturized. Whether the airplanes in the sky or the tanks on the ground, they were all only toy-sized, only the battleships of the oceans on either side were a bit larger, about the size of a washbasin.

But this was what Le Cheng was most dissatisfied with.

Why aren’t they ship girls? Why are they not ship girls? Aren’t the buttocks and breasts of ship girls fragrant? Too disappointing!

However, though small, it was fully equipped.

This steel torrent, though miniaturized, had a combat power that could not be ignored. As the dense armies sward, the converts and Bloodletting Demons’ charges were imdiately contained, followed by ordered adjustnts and containnt by the fighter jets and tanks, swiftly slicing through the enemy forces.

Anyone slightly familiar with military affairs could tell, this was a concept of modern warfare.

First, through the aerial power of the fighter jets, the movent of the enemy was guided and restrained. Then, the tanks, which had already gathered, ford fire points one after another, rcilessly covering with firepower those enemies who had been separated. As for the navy on both sides, their attacks provided tactical cover, with the real killers being the ground troops.

This modern warfare thinking, even if placed in front of the Imperial Army, would still be a kind of dinsionality reduction strike, not to ntion these converts who don’t even know what military tradition is. They hadn’t even realized what was happening, and after a bout of panicked screaming, they found themselves without a companion left, with only dense warplanes and tanks around them.

Then, the bombardnt lasted until death.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Even though the airplanes and tanks reduced in size by a hundred tis, their power significantly weakened, it didn’t an they couldn’t kill. After all, even firecrackers can kill, let alone real bullets and shells.

The Bloodletting Demons were sowhat better off, relying on their tough bodies to withstand it for a while, but the converts, even if their strength had increased, their bodies were still made of flesh and blood. Almost in the blink of an eye, nearly a hundred converts lay in pools of blood.

This was the efficiency of modern warfare; after the war began, the death count wasn’t one by one but in groups.

The Bloodletting Demons generally have low intelligence, or rather, any life form that believes in Khorne, as their consciousness gradually gets filled with slaughter and blood, it becos challenging for them to consider anything else, thus the saying that the higher the purity, the lower the intelligence.

On the contrary, the converts, since they had taken vows halfway, their belief in Khorne wasn’t so pure, it was more of a frenzied fanaticism, so they tended to expand their battle results through strategizing, which is a point distinctly different from the Catastrophe Legion.

Of course, the Bloodletting Demons, as cornerstone-like existences within Khorne’s Legion, even with their low intelligence, couldn’t cover up that excellent fighting instinct. They quickly realized that the fighter jets in the sky were the priorities that needed to be destroyed first. Thus, the Bloodletting Demons imdiately leaped up, swinging the Hell Demon Blade, and nurous fighter jets were cleaved in half, exploding mid-air.

Although the losses of the fighter jets were severe, the shock from the explosions also caused the Bloodletting Demons to beco unable to maintain their positions in the air, falling downwards through thick smoke. Seizing this opportunity, the tanks on the ground quickly crawled forward, positioning themselves right where the Bloodletting Demons were about to fall, and activated their explosive armor.

At the sa ti, the fighter jets that had survived by chance turned into kamikazes, diving towards the Bloodletting Demons, launching suicide bombing raids.

If in reality, such a tactic of killing eight hundred enemies at the cost of a thousand of one’s own would clearly be unacceptable, but at that mont, it achieved trendous combat results.

The tough and flesh-heavy Bloodletting Demons could largely withstand the machine gun strafing and the tank bombardnts, but they could not stand up to the blasts. When their bodies were entirely swallowed by the explosive flas, even if they survived by chance, their bodies had already beco ragged, and they were then easily reaped by the following troops.

After so ti, the numbers on both sides had significantly diminished.

The singing of the Katjusha continued.

The surviving converts did not know when this bizarre battle would end. After exchanging looks, a frenzy appeared in their blood-red eyes, and then they plunged their weapons into their own chests.

"For the glory of the Blood God!"

"For the glory of the Blood God!"

Within those crazed shouts, the converts began to commit mass suicide, their fresh blood dyeing the dark earth beneath them red, while their falling bodies began to emit black smoke. As the black smoke billowed out, a fierce energy surged to break free.

Soon, one terrifying beast after another appeared.

"Cows...they are cows..." Nikun, holding a pair of binoculars, observed the battlefield afar, his voice trembling slightly.

"Cows? Where are the cows?"

As if a keyword had triggered sothing, Le Cheng’s eyes lit up, imdiately snatching Nikun’s binoculars.

Then he was disappointed to find that these weren’t the cows he had imagined.

They were a type of "creature" made of demons, steel, and muscles, outfitted with large chunks of armor. Their entire bodies made of brass and steel, giving them massive fras that exceeded two ters in height. Under that robust tal shell was continuously swirling flas. Every ti they ran forward, flas would splash out from under their iron hooves, and black hot air also surged with their breathing.

The re appearance alone was enough to evoke dread.

What was even more frightening was that there were precisely nine such beasts, and on the back of each beast stood a Bloodletting Demon. These had even stronger bodies, even bigger and darker horns, and even thicker and heavier Hell Demon Blades.

Veteran players looked at the nine-headed beast and couldn’t help but gasp in shock.

At the sa ti, Gawain effortlessly sliced through a Bloodletting Demon, shouting loudly: "Be careful, these are the Blood Grinding Cavalry! Each unit of Blood Grinding Cavalry consists of a ferocious Bloodletting Demon and a Blood Grinding Beast. When combined, their combat power exceeds that of a regular Bloodletting Demon by more than ten tis, and they are also one of the most feared cavalry units within the Catastrophe Legion. These nine units of Blood Grinding Cavalry are enough to instantly crush a hundred-man elite cavalry squad of the Empire."

Hearing this, veteran players felt even more chills crawling up their scalps.

After all, these words ca from Gawain; the significance of Blood Grinding Cavalry was unquestionable.

What happened next also proved everything Gawain said; in front of these nine Blood Grinding Beasts, Yaya’s miniature army could no longer function. No matter how many tanks there were, they would be kicked aside by the terrifying Blood Grinding Beasts, completely unable to stop them by the slightest. The circling bombers, facing the ferocious Bloodletting Demons, were likewise easily destroyed, and even the aftershocks from explosions could not shake them.

If previously the Bloodletting Demons were just miscellaneous soldiers, then these nine Blood Grinding Cavalry were truly elite!

"Don’t clash head-on with them, retreat, retreat!"

Gawain shouted this while charging forward.

During his run, he sneakily glanced back at Le Cheng’s position.

He did not know what Le Cheng had planned, as Le Cheng had just been watching until now, but as of now, it seed like a good thing since as long as Le Cheng was there providing support, he could afford to go all out.

And what he felt most fortunate about... was that there were only nine Blood Grinding Cavalry!

Generally, a unit like the Blood Grinding Cavalry wouldn’t appear alone; ten Blood Grinding Cavalry along with one Bloodletting Lord were their complete combat formation. Once such a formation appeared, even he would have to retreat three houses’ distance.

Was it because there weren’t enough sacrifices, that only nine cavalry were summoned?

Perhaps in Yaya’s view, she hadn’t provided enough combat power, but in Gawain’s eyes, Yaya’s mysterious legion had killed countless converts, which greatly assisted and prevented the enemy from summoning more Blood Grinding Cavalry.

Of course, even with only nine, the situation on the battlefield was still not optimistic because against such strong elite soldiers, only Gawain and Edward had the strength to fight.

"Retreat!"

Just as they were about to engage, Yaya decisively pulled back the flag.

After all, the enemy was real cavalry, more capable in an open field, but as the boundless black land turned back into snow-covered village, the charge of Blood Grinding Cavalry indeed halted montarily.

Taking this brief opportunity, Gawain and Edward rushed forward to strike.

"Ah!"

As soon as the confrontation began, Edward was at a disadvantage. He was accustod to fighting body to body but hadn’t expected the Blood Grinding Cavalry to be so powerful that they carved a notch into his usually impenetrable body, blood flowing profusely.

Gawain hastily reminded him: "Don’t go hard against them!"

"Ha ha!" Edward laughed instead of getting angry, "No worries, tonight is a full moon. Under the moonlight, I am invincible!"

Edward’s wounds regenerated at a visible rate, which made Gawain quite envious.

Damn it, I want the sun!

With the sun, what would re nine Blood Grinding Cavalry count for?

...

While our two powerhouses were holding off the enemy’s nine Blood Grinding Cavalry, the scene was still fraught with danger as there were over thirty additional Bloodletting Demons. While Gawain and Edward tied down the cavalry, they also were restrained and could not attend to the Bloodletting Demons.

At this mont, they were simultaneously rushing towards the second line of defense.

Veteran players and the eight accompanying knights were already at the end of their tether.

"Damn it, at this point, we can only fight with all we’ve got!"

Alien Eye grit his teeth, took out a cigarette from his pocket, ready to bolster his courage.

But before he could light it, Le Cheng snatched the cigarette away.

"Hua zi, not bad."

He held the cigarette in his mouth, patted Nikun on the shoulder calmly.

"Kunkun, take the sniper."

"Ah?"
