Infinite Job Transfers Starting from Mechanic Chapter 1096 - 552: Journey to the Oming Star System (Part 2
At the mont it disappeared, it seed that so hidden channel had been opened.
Su Yu vaguely sensed familiar informational waves; it was exactly like the Jing God’s previous attempt to erode him.
He hurriedly instructed the Star Tower Terminal to record the spatiotemporal fluctuations of that mont and attempted a reverse trace, but to no avail.
The information at that mont was too scant.
However, the information waves of the Jing God at that mont were enough to prove that what the Cosmic Undead said earlier was true; it succeeded.
"It was indeed taken away."
Su Yu thought secretly.
This Cosmic Undead’s thods are indeed sowhat mysterious.
It seed to have disguised its own informational form as a fictional creature, thereby deceiving the Jing God.
If there were no surprises, the Cosmic Undead has now infiltrated beside the Jing God, becoming a devout "Holy Spirit."
These Holy Spirits are essentially fanatic believers, filled with faith to the extent that they’ve practically lost self-awareness, hardly qualifying as normal creatures, but more like a "faith machine."
But the Cosmic Undead is not that.
What it wants to do by infiltrating beside the Jing God, who knows?
"Could it be that it aims to replace it? The next ti I et the Jing God, could it have already been replaced?"
Su Yu couldn’t help but speculate.
However, there was no evidence.
Is the Cosmic Undead really capable of replacing the Jing God?
It only has information left, with no energy whatsoever, not even being able to exact revenge on Su Yu, let alone the more powerful Jing God.
"Then again, the Jing God seems to specialize in the information field, which is exactly what the Cosmic Undead is specialized in as well..."
"Co to think of it, the Cosmic Undead is currently in the Primordial Universe, and should be considered as being ’consud’, but it hasn’t been ’digested’ by the Primordial Universe yet. What exactly counts as being digested and absorbed?"
"If it actively becos the Jing God, will replacing it count as being digested already? Is that why it has its eyes on the Jing God?"
Gazing at the empty battleship mainfra, various thoughts kept surfacing in Su Yu’s mind.
But they were all re speculations; the Cosmic Undead provided no explanation before it left, leaving Su Yu to wild guesses.
"Forget it, guessing leads nowhere, anyway, it fled, so it’s for the best. Now this battleship truly belongs to ."
"No matter about it then, ti to depart for the Oming River System.
Su Yu shook his head, stopping thoughts about the Cosmic Undead, and once again started up the battleship, heading toward the Oming River System.
According to the Star Chart acquired from the Junyi Star System, the Oming River System used to be an important mining area for the Human Empire, containing large garrisons and colonial stars, much more prosperous than the Big Horn River System.
Due to a lack of resource minerals in the Big Horn River System, the Empire rely colonized a few dozen Constant Star Systems without much regard, while in the Oming River System, nearly all Constant Star Systems were colonized, with garrisons stationed even in planets unsuitable for human habitation.
Although the Empire has declined now, the Oming River System should still retain a certain degree of Imperial structure.
Once Su Yu reaches there, he should be able to find the Star Chart leading to the Azure Star System.
The universe is too vast; without a strategy to find the Star Chart, guiding a battleship around for hundreds of millions of years wouldn’t guarantee the return to the Azure Star System.
Speaking of which, Su Yu is quite determined; although he’s now entirely free, he doesn’t really need to return to the Azure Star System and deal with Qi Chen’s bad luck.
But Su Yu won’t forget past grievances.
Taking revenge is an absolute must.
Moreover, the remnants of the Azure Star System will help Su Yu complete his Little Universe, so he will not give up.
This journey took a whole month of Su Yu’s ti.
During this month, Su Yu’s initial excitent of inter-river system travel eventually turned into boredom.
Outside the battleship, an unchanging sky full of stars stretched on; due to hyper-light-speed travel, the starlight stretched into lines, swiftly vanishing into the distance.
At that mont, Su Yu was using the hyper-light-speed engine on the battleship.
Sailing purely in the Material Universe without entering Subspace, hence the scenery.
Having just arrived outside the Azure Star System in the universe, Su Yu temporarily refrained from entering Subspace.
Primarily as he is unsure of the Subspace’s current conditions and fears problems arising from entering rashly.
Su Yu still recalls his first entry into Subspace, nearly being discovered by the will of the Brutal Evil God; if not for his special profession adept in hiding as the Ghost Hidden Blade, and the Brutal Evil God being sealed then, Su Yu would’ve been finished early on.
Having learned from past lessons, Su Yu naturally exercises more caution in entering Subspace.
Otherwise, initiating the battleship’s Subspace engine could have transported him in a blink, without needing to wait the whole month.
As Su Yu felt a slight tremor in the battleship’s hull, he knew they had arrived.
"Is this the Oming River System..."
Su Yu gazed at the scenery outside the battleship.
He was currently to the side of the Oming River System, approximately a thousand light-years away, looking at the entire Oming River System from his vantage point.
The Oming River System is a disc-shaped spiral river system, with a diater of one hundred and ten thousand light-years, five spiral arms, and over five hundred billion Constant Star Systems.
This river system is abundant in a special tal called "Oming."
This tal isn’t on the conventional periodic table of elents and is exclusive to this river system.
It is ford from the bodies of an already extinct alien species after a billion years of weathering.
This alien species was called "Oming," and the Oming Star System was their place of origin.
The civilization, ruling an entire river system, naturally had formidable power.
However, for so reason, this civilization seed to have perished overnight, leaving only mineral deposits from their corpses.
Oming tal boasts superb hardness, toughness, and Spiritual Energy conductivity, and is suitable for constructing Fifth-Order and above chanical Creations.
Fifth-Order and above chanical Creations have extrely high material requirents, and Su Yu is still fretting over materials for his Creation Machine.
The Human Empire, back then, seemingly had similar worries, hence upon discovering Oming minerals, they valued them greatly, dispatching armies to occupy the entire river system promptly.
From then on, many of the Empire’s important creations, weapons, and battle armor incorporated Oming tal, significantly enhancing their performance.
The Naless Battleship Su Yu acquired likely also contains Oming tal.
Ordinary elental minerals could be synthesized directly, holding no value in the Empire’s view.
Only such rare minerals were considered precious Imperial wealth.
This information was also obtained by Su Yu from the Junyi Star System.
Leaving the Big Horn River System, Su Yu’s first stop was the Oming River System, partly to verify whether Oming tal is truly as miraculous, and if useful, to acquire so for crafting the Creation Machine.
However, upon nearing the Oming River System, Su Yu noticed sothing amiss.
It’s too dark here!
With over five hundred billion Constant Star Systems, the river system should appear incredibly bright.
Yet, at a glance, most of the stars in the Oming River System are very dim.
Though clearly before his eyes, it seems dimr than other river systems millions of light-years away.
It seems like stars dying, turning into white dwarfs or other dim celestial objects.
But stars have lifespans of tens or hundreds of billions of years; a re ten thousand years shouldn’t have yielded such changes.
Even if so stars’ lifespans had ended, the overall brightness of the river system shouldn’t be influenced.
"It seems there’s a problem here as well..."
Su Yu thought, becoming quietly vigilant.
Therefore, he didn’t enter, instead activating the battleship’s Star Tower scanning.
A thousand light-year distance is completely within the scanning range of the battleship’s Star Tower Terminal.
Su Yu instructed the Star Tower Terminal to lock onto the nearest Constant Star System and begin scanning.
The Star Tower signal, bypassing light speed, quickly completed the scan of that Star System’s situation.
"This..."
Su Yu was taken aback by the scanned information.
