The entire spectators’ seats, including the comntators and those from high-ranking guilds who had co to watch the match, froze in place.

It wasn’t because of his declaration.

No, there were many who had spoken such words and later begged for their lives once they failed.

The reason they were frozen was because everyone who ca out, the twenty students who dared to stand up, were beaten like children.

No one could say a word as the reverence they already had for him soared through the roof.

In an instant, the spectators exploded in cheers.

This ti it wasn’t like before when all Arthur could hear was the worship of the chosen one.

This ti it was all for Ha-joon.

The man who would lead them, Ha-joon Kim.

"That was an amazing match!" The comntator didn’t even try to hide his excitent.

The students too continued to praise him.

"The one who is ant to lead our generation."

"The absolute monarch."

The only thing that almost everyone in the arena could think of was Ha-joon’s greatness.

And Arthur?

He didn’t feel much.

But if he could point out an emotion that was there, it would be relief and a bit of regret.

He was relieved that he didn’t have to see the Ha-joon he knew anymore, but at the sa ti regretted not killing him with his own hand.

A faint smile tugged at Arthur’s lips. ’Enjoy your ti, Kim Ha-joon.’

Alia, who sat at his right, nudged his arm lightly.

Arthur turned to her, and she whispered:

"Husband, what do you think happened to Ha-joon?"

Arthur looked over to Nathira, who sat at his other side, as if passing the question to her.

Nathira, sipping soda through a straw, turned to them. "What?"

Alia repeated her question:

"What do you think happened to Ha-joon?"

Nathira took a mont, then replied:

"Who cares? Kim Ha-joon is Kim Ha-joon to . It doesn’t matter if it’s a different soul, I’ll still kill him regardless."

Arthur sohow knew that would be her answer.

And knowing her, it wasn’t impossible.

’Kim Ha-joon.’

As if responding to his ntal call, Ha-joon, who was about to leave the platform, stopped.

Everyone began murmuring, while the comntator warned with a flustered tone:

"Uhmm... Ha-joon Kim, you’ve had your match, so please leave the platform."

Ha-joon didn’t move. ’What’s this feeling?’ he wondered as he felt sothing stir inside his chest.

Ding!

『 Your worst nightmare has appeared in front of you again 』

『 Mission: Do not dare approach him 』

『 Run! 』

’What? The system says I should run?’ Ha-joon nearly panicked, but quickly composed himself. ’Who the hell is strong enough...’

He sharply turned his head toward the spectators. ’...that I, Kim Ha-joon, would need to run from?’

Almost imdiately, his gaze locked onto a golden-eyed man in the crowd who sat between two beautiful won.

It was the sa stunning young man people had been swooning over yesterday.

The two gazes remained fixed on each other for so long that everyone began to notice.

Ha-joon was staring at soone.

It wasn’t his usual expression, which felt like he was looking down on others.

But a real, intense stare. One that looked like fear.

Who or what exactly could make Ha-joon, who even looked down on the dean, stare so intently?

They all turned their attention to Arthur, who didn’t look away under Ha-joon’s gaze.

"Isn’t that the new guy?"

"Yeah, I thought he was weak?"

"Wasn’t that the reason he didn’t start with us at the academy?"

But even though they spoke those words, their minds leaned in one direction.

A monster only stares directly at an even greater monster.

Ha-joon moved slightly, his eyes glowing as he summoned his blade.

The Ha-joon everyone knew never used weapons on students, let alone his ancestral rune sword.

Ha-joon let his force flow, then in an instant lunged toward the stands, ignoring the comntator’s alard shouts.

He wanted to know.

Why was he afraid of this man?

Why did the system, which always told him to fight, tell him to run this ti?

Arthur quickly stood and took a step back, summoning Everest.

The two blades clashed as their figures suspended in the air, eyes locked on one another.

Then Ha-joon asked:

"What the hell are you?"

Arthur grinned. "Your worst nightmare."

Ha-joon twisted his blade sharply, separating their swords, then tried to slice Arthur clean in half.

"...Ha-joon."

The mont Ha-joon heard his na leave Arthur’s lips, he felt a fear unlike any he’d known before.

A fear only soone like him who was trapped inside his own body while another controlled it could understand.

The fear of being shackled to another’s will.

He instantly withdrew his sword and jumped back down to the platform, breathing heavily.

No one could believe their eyes.

Not only had Ha-joon been afraid of soone, but he had retreated.

’How did he know I was about to use Dragon Tongue?’ Arthur thought, his gaze darkening.

In a blink, he vanished as if he tore through space and reappeared above Ha-joon’s head, his blade already descending.

Ha-joon’s eyes widened.

There was no way to block it.

He couldn’t counter.

But the blade in Arthur’s hand imdiately dissolved into snowflakes and mist as he landed lightly in front of Ha-joon.

"That’s one kill."

Ha-joon turned sharply to the figure who had nearly ended him, only to see him casually walking back to his seat like nothing had happened.

"What the hell just happened?" he murmured.

『 It has been confird that your worst nightmare now attends the academy. If you see him: RUN! 』

At that mont, in that training ground, what seed to be a predetermined scenario had been disrupted.

Another monster and leader had erged in the seventh generation.

The prince of the Demonic Dragons and the only son of Alicia Arcain, soone who was also about to cause a stir in the world soon.
