"Okay, guys..." Sylvia, who hovered in the sky with radiant golden wings and the aura of an angel, announced, "Take My Blessing!"

Even without mana or force, Arthur and his remaining seven wives, including Cassie, could feel a surge of power around them.

"You’re not planning to fight superhumans with your re physical strength, right?" She chuckled lightly. "Now, shower with all the praise."

No one replied through the comms, but after a few seconds, Alia spoke up.

"Uhmm... Goddess, couldn’t you have done this from the start?"

"..."

The line on the other side went silent.

Then, an awkward laugh broke out.

"Hahaha... That was possible, wasn’t it? Well, we’re winning either way, right? Fighting!"

In an instant, the golden light vanished from the sky.

Arthur exhaled deeply. "Well, no matter when she did it, Sylvia still helped us a lot."

Everyone silently agreed.

"At least we can share information through here," Elizabeth comnted.

"Uhmm... Are you alright, big sis Cassie? We haven’t t before, but I’m your little sister Eira."

No one spoke for a mont until Cassie’s tremblinng voice ca through:

"I’m... I’m sorry, everyone!" she exclaid, clearly on the verge of tears.

Arthur smirked faintly. "Yeah, we can teach you a lesson later."

With a quiet hum, everyone agreed.

’Now...’

He imdiately began moving again.

Early that morning, Ellie had told him to go to the rooftop room of the building, and by the ti he got there, he would understand what he was ant to do.

That was why he was presently heading there.

Nathira, just like Sylvia, had left the city to dismantle the chanism that prevented energy from functioning, since as an ancient being, it had a weaker effect on her.

Arthur didn’t slow down as he raced up the empty staircase, which gave off an unsettling atmosphere, but when he reached the top floor, he stopped dead in his tracks.

"What the hell?"

---

(Back in the VVIP room)

The mont Arthur left, Ellie slipped inside. It wasn’t as if she had done anything extraordinary to restore Cassie’s mories, since Arthur had already broken through all the layers.

All she needed to do was convince Cassie that she now possessed the binding contract. It was a harmless lie, but enough to peel away the last layer of resistance.

That was how things were ant to go, but luck was clearly not on their side.

"So this is where you were?"

Ellie’s head snapped up as she tried to pull Cassie to her feet after her breakdown during the call.

The mont her gaze locked on the woman entering through the door, her expression hardened.

Rachel, who had just stepped inside, smiled her usual warm smile. "You’re Ellie Reinhardt, right? Never thought I’d see such a prominent lady in my city."

Ellie forced a smile so sharp it barely reached her eyes. "So you’re that woman?"

Rachel lingered for a mont. "Shouldn’t you at least speak without aiming your killing intent at ?"

Ellie tilted her head slightly. "Why should I?" Her eyes sharpened into a dangerous glare. "Aren’t you the one who tried to kill Oppa?"

Rachel raised a brow. "Oppa?"

Ignoring the question entirely, Ellie straightened. "So where’s your bodyguard?"

Rachel shrugged. "Why should I tell you?"

Ellie’s expression didn’t waver, but the single word she uttered ended their little exchange:

"Whore."

Rachel’s face twisted. "What did you say?"

Ellie smirked. "I don’t feel like repeating myself. But I suppose soone who asures her worth by sleeping with n and forcing girls to do the sa wouldn’t have the wit to keep proper records."

Rachel’s gaze darkened, though she still forced out a smile. "What if I am a whore? Takes one to know one."

Ellie’s eyes widened briefly in disbelief. "Wait, were you serious?" She let out a short laugh. "Sorry to break it to you, but my mind, body, and soul belong to one man. So next ti, co up with a better insult, whore."

Rachel didn’t reply. She couldn’t. Her chest tightened with fury.

’Damn this bitch.’

As she raised her hand, ten or more knights burst through the wall, swords drawn and energy flaring.

"When I’m done with you, you won’t see the light of day," she sneered. "So now beg."

Ellie’s smile didn’t falter. "Beg? Even if it costs my life..." Her tone turned ice-cold. "I will kill you for hurting my husband."

---

(anwhile in the city)

The city’s noise buzzed through every street, even in the middle of the night.

"Everyone, form a line."

Arthur’s final mission for his wives was to save the people of the Holy City.

It wasn’t because he was a saint, but because they were living witnesses to what the nobles and Rachel had done.

But the mission also carried one extra directive—

Kill all the n.

Knowing each wife’s strengths, he assigned Eira and Elizabeth to evacuation, Isabella to deal with the n, and Alia to back up Ellie if needed.

Eliya, on the other hand, was tasked with filing a report to the officials of the human domain—sothing only she could do as a legal teacher.

Isabella’s task wasn’t particularly difficult for her, especially with Sylvia’s blessing allowing her to use so of her energy.

Elizabeth and Eira’s progress took more ti since Eira had to create carriages from fresh wood, which wasn’t exactly plentiful in the desert, and her energy use was still limited.

Overall, the plan was going smoothly, at least for them.

The sa couldn’t be said for Ellie, who was on the verge of facing twelve knights, or for Arthur, whose situation was even worse.

---

(Back on the rooftop)

The room on the roof was so silent that even the sound of swallowing would echo like a thousand bells.

Black, ink-like wall stains combined with the unnatural stillness gave the space an eerie atmosphere, but Arthur stepped inside without hesitation.

The mont he was fully inside, the door shut behind him.

He glanced back, but there was nothing there—only a blank wall.

The faint scent of death and sothing forbidden still hung in the air.

Worse yet, there was the creeping sensation of an undead, no, a dark knight.

After a mont, he smirked faintly, muscles tense. "What the hell?"
